I am from the Uk and live in Ridgewood, NJ. Been here 28 years and love it! I travel all over the US and am always glad to get home. A real downtown, great schools, safe, diverse, excellent access to NYC and Newark airport for my work, and so much to do being so so near (The Shore, Meadowlands and Football, Paramus - the largest shopping area in the country with multiple malls, State Parks, easy access to Upstate New York, and so much more). Yes, it is expensive, but it has everything. It is also more diverse than this video suggests. Many people and ethnicities from all over the world (and US).

"Downtown" Jersey city is very good, very expensive, sucks to drive in no parking. All these towns he mentioned are high priced so not for anyone making less than $90,000 a year. $$$$$

No…… nope that’s not Newark in many of the pictures. It’s a predominantly blk and Latino city 90% of 310,000 ppl. Downtown Newark is one of the fastest growing parts of the city with new luxury high rise apts. The city is being gentrified. Crime has been down over the last 30 years but its reputation preceded it.

What makes you the Jersey City expert? I can tell there is a lot you don't know about Jersey City and you obviously don't get it. I see you are realtor in suburban NJ. Looks like you are trying to get people to move out of the city and move to the suburbs where you do the majority of your real estate sales.

Born and raised in JC, and my family was there for decades before I was born, and also born and raised there as well. It’s odd that you mention everything but the crime. the reason that most of us moved away years ago. Downtown yeah you might be okay, but if you make one wrong turn towards the other side of town it’s a completely different world. Might want to mention that to viewers. Other than that, I love my hometown.

I love you pointed out the reasons people should think about not moving to Jersey City New Jersey! But HONESTLY AND TRULY you REALLY left out the CRIMES that happen over there and the CRIME RATE OF TRULY OUT RAGES!!! Jersey City NJ is so VERY SCARY to live that it’s just DANGEROUS! OMG for the CHILDREN that’s NOT EVEN A PLACE YOU SHOULD WANT TO RAISE YOUR CHILDREN!! NOT AT ALL!!!! THE GANGS OMG ARE SO VERY OUT OF CONTROL! YOU TALK about the prices of living and parking and schools but that’s great too but the most important you should REALLY be telling EVERYONE THAT’S WATCHING YOUR VIDEO EVERYTHING NOT SOME BUT ALL! But your video was truly awesome and thank you I really liked it and I really like how you talk to everyone that’s watching you talk to us not at us! Again thank you so very kindly

Your reasons all ring true for sure. I lived there for eight years and thought it was great! Don't think I could afford to move back in though, bought my condo with a back yard in a decent area for $ 192,000 way back when... now that kind of money probably wouldn't get me a cardboard box there. It was great while it lasted.

Jersey City is my hometown and lived there until I moved to NYC in 1979. When I lived there, Jersey City was basically a working-class town. Rents were reasonable. NYC was only a short PATH away. Now it has become more difficult. I currently live in the Bronx, and the rent where I live is lower than a comparable place in Jersey City. The Journal Square area has become unlivable because of the skyscrapers there now.

I moved here in 2002 and if I have to move from where I am, I can only affrord a furnished room now. I'm 70 and The entire area has become a haven for single men sharing apartments, no families moving into the area at all because the rents are impossible. Not a good thing for the community.

Being a New Jersey resident since 1984 there is no way in hell I would ever live in Jersey City. Its a city, it's expensive, parking sucks, fees everywhere. It's just you modern heads who don't understand the dynamics of NJ and just rush to places that's trending. Avoid Bergen, Essex, Union, Passaic, and Hudson County imo.

When I was in college I would work on the weekends in Chatham. I would just drive through some of the neighborhoods to look at the multi-million dollar homes and that was in the 80's. It was great motivation. I still became a garbage man living paycheck to paycheck though.
