Energy Turrets: Deal damage types that rogue drones, sansha, and blood raiders are weak to, they have the best tracking at their optimal range - other weapons with similar or longer optimal range will have lower tracking, the close range type, pulse lasers however, are not super close range. There are guns with better tracking at shorter optimal ranges, for instance, blasters, but against a moving target at blaster optimal range, the blaster will miss more than the energy turret shooting a target at its optimal range (which is longer). Energy turrets never run out of T1 ammo, and you can switch ammo types instantly (while not firing). On the flip side, Angel Cartel and Minmatar are the only NPCs that are strong to all energy turret damage types - all other NPCs are weak to at least one of EM or thermal damage - the two damage types dealt by energy turrets. Basically, there's nothing wrong with energy turrets. Being "damage locked" is an overblown problem - one that railguns and blasters also have. Plus Infinite ammo - instant reloads if you switch (or you're using a crystal type that breaks) Missile dps is bad in general, and then you factor in those 10-30 second reloads. Granted, you have to know the mechanics to get the most out of turrets in general, but energy turrets are the easiest to use, just go to your "optimal" range, and you're using them "optimally" - Like you mentioned, projectile turrets have a sweet spot somewhere in their falloff range, which makes them more complicated to use.

Eve is super dead. But it doesn’t mean that updates aren’t welcome. In the 30 years since online games started appearing, there are countless that no longer have a publisher behind them and exist solely as private servers. Even with dead populations like a thousand total players or less, these games can still exist and service a small audience. Project Gorgon. Pristontale. Warhammer Online. Many like these and more.

Great stuff... this is useful, especially that one of my toons is stuck in pochven and now i know how to get home... FYI, the "Jumps to Target" formula is a bit wonky... when I saw Jita was 1 jump from itself; and Perimeter was 2, I found there was an issue... and it seems that COUNTA didn't work consistently - Isanamo was resulting in 1 jump... i.e. same as Jita's value. As such, the formula needs to change to: =COUNT(route_origin_destination($F31,$E$2,,,$H$2,false))-1 ... the minus 1 adjusts for the target system in the list; and COUNT seemed to be more consistent than COUNTA.

All the sound effects and hand waving and pointing was enough for me to skip the video, sorry.

great info on wormhole sites. I am Omega not alpha, but this is still a huge use to someone who has been interested in running WH combat sites but has not had the guts to do it yet :) so far, I have stuck to just data/relic sites on the few times I have entered WH space.

TC3 whatever your flavor should be #1. What are you doing most of the time while Exploring? Traveling. TC3 travel fit with implants gets you up to 15AU. The quicker you can get thru systems means the more signatures you can scan in less time, and more signatures means more isk/hour.
