God love you! Step down injury in 2019. Four years of useless PT, with me asking, asking, asking for gait work. Now, one minor back surgery, one minor abdominal surgery, one 1/2 inch full foot lift correcting leg length, and headed for a hip replacement at the tender age of 70, I find you! As a former surgical nurse, I had started some of the work you suggest. This gives me a clear path. Plan is to ditch the walker and build strength going into the hip surgery. There are big dogs to walk, Jazzercise classes to take and West Coast swing dances to attend! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you Sandra
@@sandralewis3377 did you have to go through the back surgery because of your LLD? Why do you use 1/2 inch lift when the difference is around 7mm?
10 years as a postman I had to stop. I started limping and then carried on for weeks while I was limping. I have now put the body into a different movement pattern

Hello sir are you looking for a processionl TH-cam thumbnail designar and video SEO expert?

Can you do a tutorial on the back please?
Yes we will
This will be my second time I taught myself to walk. My first time ( long story short ) I was in an accident , 2 broken legs and fractured hip . bedridden for 2 months while in the hospital. Once I gotten out of the hospital, I used a wheelchair for 4 months . I took the wheelchair behind me , while used the walker just to hold me up . Because I couldn't stand very long more like seconds, then did this for a long while , and went to standing up alittle longer. this took me a 4 months , I went from wheelchair to using walker , stayed with this for several months too. All I can say is this was one of the time in my life . I will never forget it . I was in very bad shape as far as my Gait. But mentally it took a toll on me . 1982 - 1983 2024 Today I am having to teach myself how to walk again and it's NOT easy . It's harder as an older adult.
Thank you for so much help, I do appreciate it . I walk like a pengiun or you could call it , Wobble Gait I have a Weak Right Hip ( Glutes ) and I might have an Leson tear ( I am guessing ) . I might need an Xray or MRI to see exactly what I have.
Is the heel strike first the same for running?
No - running gait is very different - that said there is a heel toe gait in running too. It’s more of an endurance running gait
When there is limp... how can we know that it's gait issue or because of lower limb length discrepancy? Thank you!
A PT can look a bit at it, functional versus structural. But the best is to find an orthotist or just buy the freaking plates to measure it with the help of a spouse. I finally demanded the xrays to get the structural difference, in my case 7 mm split unequally between by femur and my tib-fib. Then, the plates to figure my comfort place, with the difference being my functional short fall. I currently correct to 12.7 mm with that being inserted, by an orthotist, by splitting the sole of my shoe and adding it in. The lift into the foot bed of the shoe just does not work well. Best of luck. Keep asking til you find the right person to help with this! It took me five years. If someone’s method is not helping after 3 months, move on to someone else. Keep going til you find THE person! 🤗
@@sandralewis3377 do you limp? When did you struck you that you might have LLD? And how old are you and since how long you've been living with this LLD?
Hey I visited your channel after watching your video and found your content very nice. But your video doesn't have enough views. Do you know why views are not coming even after publishing a lot of videos? Because your videos are not SEO done. Without actually doing SEO, your videos are not generating enough views. I can help you if you want.
Hi
hahahaha
Hello sir, hope you are well. But the condition of your channel is not good, your video does not have enough views, it is your own fault because you are not doing SEO for your video, so your video is not getting enough views. I can help you if you want.
it's the 22nd day of sprained ankle, not sure if i should be starting to walk normally. generally there's no pain, but struggling to walk in uneven surface because i can't control when my foot moves to the sides. and there's still constriction in the ankle area. I'm just frustrated and wanted to walk normally again
I think you should consider getting a physiotherapy consultation on your ankle to give an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan to help you walk pain free and get back to your goals. We do offer one to one online consultations. Best wishes Johnny
i sprained my ankle and I'm struggling to go back to walk normally. 😅

Thank you for this video. I am a high functioning acl deficient person. I have a bit of a wobble in the left knee which I want to improve. I've been doing everything in the gym you can think of but will base my two legs days around the BSS and the reverse lunge. How does this look? BSS 3x6-8 RDLs 3x6-8 Reverse Lunges (not sure on rep range) Lying Hamstring curls 2x10-12 I've seen the other video on your channel around the step up and seen it mentioned that you can combine the step up with the reverse lunge. Good idea or is it better to split the two exercises up and treat them differently rather than combining them? Another key things I should include as someone trying to live with an ACL injury?
