Hi from Norfolk in the UK. I had exactly the same problem but no fault code or engine light. I bought a replacement sensor off ebay for £10 and fitted it today. All working again. 😊 Thanks for the video.

You can also use a 14 or 15 millimeter regular 6 point socket ,if that is the only job you’ll need it for. It’s been a while so I can’t remember which one it is. But that’s what I used.

Also I wanted to ask if you,or anyone else watching this,replaced the mounts more than once? I did mine 2-1/2 to 3 years ago and seems like they are crap again ,and I’m just over 80k miles.

I know exactly what you’re saying about taking your vehicle anywhere for an oil change! Went through the same thing with two different places in two different states.

Awesome video, wife’s 2015 Renegade Trailhawk just had the compressor, condenser and metering device replaced at the dealership. I am not ready ambient air temp, ac is not working, check engine light is on and remote start doesn’t work, I will either be buying a thermistor at local auto parts store or Amazon. Great video much appreciated 👍

In my experience, even if you can not select 4 wd mode, I think the all wheel drive still works

Hello from Lancashire in northern England. My wife had exactly the same problem. Jeep dealership wanted £180 +labour to fit a new wing mirror. As a result of your video, I purchased a pack of thermistors(only 5% and not 10% as you showed). hardest part was releasing clips but I followed your video to the letter. The engine light still stayed on but today it cleared itself (four days later)and everything is back to normal. Thank you for making this video from my wife and myself.

Engine fault is maybe due to the bad mix of air/gas : the volume of air for the mix is temperature dependant. I don't have yet the problem, but thanks for the procedure

Have a fiat that had this same me problem and they wanted too much to fix it and that was over 2 years ago. Fast forward to yesterday when I failed inspection bc of the check engine light. I ordered the part and installed it. And I added extra lead since mine was like 2 inches maybe. I just need the check engine light reset and I’m golden. Yes I know I can disconnect the terminal but I want the guys at the garage to check b4 I head back for reinspection

Did you ever get any backlash while driving it? We replaced three mounts except the same one you didn’t and it drove fine for a few weeks then one day, it was getting backlash. It shifts fine, but it feels like a bad u joint did in my old truck .

Just did this today- I broke off one of the clips by accident but it still worked and I was able to put it back together, no problem. Check engine light went off after I disconnected the negative side for a few mins. Thanks so much!

I have too many Abraham Enloe's in my family, too many great...great-grandfather Abraham Enloe's, even g-g-granduncles and cousins. Even have Abraham Enloe I, II, and III! Okay, I found him...my greatx5 grandfather would be Abraham Lincoln's would-be grandfather.

Appreciate you sharing the video I do have a few questions. Are torque specs not really needed for this type of repair? Like you I'm trying to find reputable sources for torque soecs but i keep finding various numbers. Also what about blue thread locker? I have access to the service manual for the 2015 Jeep renegade. And in it are three specific torque specs for the right passenger side mount. Right engine mount bracket bolts - 74/ft. Lbs Right engine mount to frame rail - 44/ft. Lbs @45° Right engine mount to engine mount bracket - 66/ft. Lbs @45° I'd be more inclined to follow the manual specs but I'm stumped figuring out which bolts apply to which torque spec. Far as I can tell the manual has 89 ft lbs tied to the left (drivers side) engine mount frame rail bolts. Any advice?

Thank you for posting this video! I’ve been having a similar problem with my 2015 jeep renegade Trailhawk. Instead of a high ambient temperature, mine reads approximately 50° lower once it hits over 90°F. I used your video step-by-step and now all I have to do is wait until it’s over 90° to see how my new thermistor reacts. Again, thank you please post more if you have any more issues with your Jeep renegade! Much appreciated

Thank you for the video only thing was I bought a temperature sensor off of temu for $7.00 for maybe someone else who just wants to just connect the wires and go it worked and everything is running great again.
