Es un remix de música de Homestuck, un webcomic que tuvo una gran cantidad de seguidores hace unos 10 años. Lo hice en 2016 y se lanzó como parte de una colección de música de fans.

@@amagicalbeing7427 Old bonus tracks were never quite up to par in storytelling with the main 15 tracks to my ears, hence their relegation to bonus, but I also think there was something unique they offered as interpretations of YN's music. Of course, Between the Lines and its bonus tracks will always remain available and free to download alongside Exegesis's updated versions!

For several of the tracks, the changes definitely noticeably affected the overall feeling, such that the new versions could be said to "about" something subtly different. I'm curious how much you'd say your preference for the old could be due to familiarity! Even for myself, a lot of the changes were striking when compared side by side with the old.

I may get around to it some time! For many reasons I want to avoid uploading music that isn't mine onto this channel, will see if I can find an appropriate way to do it.

The first version of The Wind in Your Hair came from a time where I knew very little about basically everything that made up a successful EDM track, and even though I remember feeling very happy with it at the time, when revisiting it I definitely felt painfully aware of just how much better it needed to be. I'm sure in several years' time I'll look back on this album again and feel like it no longer lives up to my newer standards, but until then I'm very happy to say I'm exceedingly proud of how this re-release came out, and that there's _very_ little that I would change given the chance. Glad you enjoyed it and I hope to entertain you again soon!

@@FlareMusic I've actually listened to the new versions already! The trumpet(?) solo was crazy good, and totally caught me off guard the first time!

Reading the comments on Buried Away's YT video and hearing people talk about how it drew something out of them emotionally has always been a surreal experience for me as an artist; my relationship to the music is fundamentally different from that of the listener, and what people receive as highly emotionally charged, I didn't necessarily consciously put in. Nonetheless, it's incredibly fulfilling to hear that the music helps provide some little bit of catharsis.

@@FlareMusic Genuinely that's why you're an inspiration, you may not be in control or understand what kind of responses or connections you'll sic out onto your work, but the fact that it happened really does make you a full fledged artist and musician at heart The fact you can make me feel even with something like your Sweden cover, and get me to start mentally splitting stems means you left a big impression and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So if I didn't say it before then thank you greatly for your talent being put to good use and living rent free in my head at times

Yes I am! It's a shame Homestuck^2 didn't pan out for me to keep working on music for it, but it was a great experience nonetheless.
