Kati Peppe- Diamond K9 Dog Training
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 27 มิ.ย. 2013
I am a dog trainer in southern Maine specializing in ecollar training-off leash obedience/behavior modification.
Stop jumping, leash pulling, nipping, and other bad behaviors. Reduce anxiety, build confidence, and get more engagement from your dog.
With this free content, I hope to provide people with the information they need to have a better dog tomorrow than they do today.
I share my results and my techniques because I know how difficult it can be to find honest and accurate information. There is a lot of false information and judgment out there. This channel provides documentation that the tools and techniques I use work to improve behaviors and state of mind. That saves lives.
Please subscribe to help me help more people and dogs!
Happy training!

Place Duration With Maverick-Stubborn Boxer Dog That Cannot Settle
มุมมอง 2121 วันที่ผ่านมา
Maverick is a dog that isn't capable of setting. He's also learned that if he puts up a good enough fight, he will win, and not have to do things he doesn't want to do. He struggles with over simulation, reactivity, an inability to focus, and a lack of coping skills. After lots of rehearsal with getting on and off place it came time to do duration, but every time I got up or moved away, so did ...

Katie The GSD Struggles With Reactivity-Well Timed Ecollar Corrections
มุมมอง 17หลายเดือนก่อน
Katie is a gsd that has struggled with severe reactivity all of her life. She had improved immensely but sometimes her owners still see episodes. Especially since they recently had to move. Katie is a well trained dog that knows the heel command and has in depth ecollar training. This isn't something you can do with a dog that has not had the proper training beforehand.

I got my Treer at 4 months old. Started training on day one. Waits to be asked when leaving the house through the front door. When I put his bowl of food down he sits and waits to be told he can eat. Knows all his basic commands. Walks very well on the leash but still tries to get at people and dogs. Not aggressively just very friendly. Either way that trait is going to go away eventually to. Had him for four weeks. Very smart dog and wants to please.
It sounds like you've done a great job with his foundational training! I'd recommend teaching your dog a solid "heel". Then you can correct for breaking "heel" when you encounter other people or dogs. It also gives him something else to focus on (the command). Awesome job!
@@katipeppediamondk9dogtrain500 Thanks I've been working on Heel for the last couple of weeks. Does very well at home and walks in the park as long is there is no other people or dogs in our immediate area. I have a treeing Walker coonhound. I have a pretty solid recall at home in the yard and on hikes if we're alone. I've started E collar work To reinforce the recall when hes further from me. I've had of about 70 yd away and one pop on the e collar, He turns his head and starts my way. I have signed up for basic obedience classes only for the extra distraction of people and dogs. I hope that will break the excitement.
