@@darrenporter1850 the test image is to fine tune your print settings based on your resin. Each resin has different requirements. So the test image will show which is the best exposure settings.

Having the elegoo logo over the bottom of the resin tank doesn't help!! I guess pressing 'exposure' when testing all the buttons cured my resin. Lol.

Yeah I noticed that as well.. they're indented. It's nice for keeping the eyes spaced evenly but makes it tough to paint or apply decals.

@@ajvaldez it was a limited release from years ago. The sculptor only gave out to a selection of members. I wouldn't be able to sell it or release it but you might find it online floating around somewhere.

@@bookie3606 its definitely a learning process.. took me months of research before I was able to print something successfully. There's so much troubleshooting to go through..my best advice would be to join an Elegoo Saturn Facebook group and try to work out the problem with fellow owners this way you get the best answers.

@@MaheerKibria the clear coat wouldn't be something removable without damaging the paint.. it would take something harsh like acetone. As for removing anything after the clear coat such as the washes or any paint.. if it's quick enough just water.. or some thinner such as IPA.

Yes there are some that will use sand. Nothing wrong with that for weight, but I try to use similar materials to what the licensed companies would use. Something more solid since these items are being shipped.. so if something does break it doesn't make a mess and can still be repaired. Thanks for the info, Happy New Year

Primer 40psi .. Acrylic base coats around 20psi ... shading and highlighting around 10-15 psi. I go over compressor settings in my How to Airbrush videos.

@@johnpeters211 tough to say without seeing it but be careful as that can break the glass screen. I would take the build plate off and run some tests to make sure it's calibrated to stop at the Home position. If it's not stopping at Home and continues to keep pushing/grinding..it could be an issue with the Limiter Switch. Other than that make sure the machine is celebrated to stop at the home position.

@@johnpeters211 if the build plate is just stopping at the vat and doing nothing..it could be the file. Check the USB stick and reload the file.

@@itsallthingsart I got it going now. We didn't realize that you have to loosen the build plate leveling screws way out because the build plate has a spring in it which allows leveling in the home position. Secure the plate to Z axis with leveling screws loose, hit "Home" button, Z axis finds home and the spring in the build plate allows the Z gantry to home and press the plate against the level card. Secure level screws, raise build plate .1mm, then set Z=0. We were just loosening the plate enough to move the plate left and right, not up and down and the plate was too low so the Z gantry would bottom out trying to go to home before the print starts.

There is a Saturn 2 video which shows the process very well.

@@pepsiplunge2685 any airbrush and compressor will do. The decision will be how you want your setup. Do you want something small and portable that runs on batteries? Or something with a larger compressor that would hold more air and plug into an outlet? The larger the compressor tank, the less the motor will run. So it really comes down to what you want as a setup. But yes this would work for airbrushing model cars. Personally I like using a large tank so I don't hear the motor running. But for something on the go and portable.. this works great.

@@itsallthingsart ive got a big air compressor but no power points or power in my little storage shed. i thought maybe this might be okay to try and if i like air brushing ill go full hog and buy a proper kit.

@@pepsiplunge2685 ok yeah this one comes with 2 batteries. There are similar brands on the market but not many that come with a second battery and the easy swap out feature...that's what I really like about it. Plus the airbrush itself is nice quality. You'll get about 45 minutes to an hour out of each battery.
