    Today I was told by the technician that the compressor has issues in the outdoor. So, the idea then was to use the emergency heater for water production until the heat pump is fixed. The technician did some wiring change in the indoor unit and then he left with the assumption that the heater will kick in 15 minutes and we will have hot water again after 10 hours. However after 5 hours passed the water temperature remain where it was 5 hours ago. So, I started worrying and found your video. I went straight into the service menu but unfortunately I do not have that option to change the source from Standard to Heater. I left messages for the technician but it is Saturday and he may not answer me until Monday. Is there anything I can do?

      Heya, Is the engineer that attended Harry potter ? this is next level wizardry. surly your neighbour must be experiencing the same issue with their thermostat ? if this is the case, I would advise following the steps in the video with your thermostat and wireless receiver, this will reset the whole thing and then should read true to your heating.

    • @renewableheatingengineer8537
      @renewableheatingengineer8537 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Wiles32 if the handheld thermostat isn't showing the same reading as the main rc like in the video, it means the repair hasn't been successful and could indicate a faulty thermostat / receiver, I would advise getting the engineer back? simply leaving the issue there isn't great. in the mean time if your heating isnt working, you could switch the setting to Main rc so this acts as a room thermostat temporarily.

    Great Video, thanks. It seems that like a lot of people my system was programmed to give maximum heat as oppose to efficiency. I have done a couple of things, moved the scheduled time for legionnaires from 3.00am to 2.00pm, when the air is warmer and reduced the flow temperature from 43 to 35 degrees, but I have a question for anyone that knows. if my flow temperature is lower than my target hot water temperature, does that mean the extra few degrees are achieved with an electric element, therefore possibly reducing any saving on lower flow temperature?

    • @renewableheatingengineer8537

      @@johnjeff3849 during hot water operation, your target flow temp is irrelevant as this is only for heating, during hot water operation your unit will get to max temp to reach your desired / set temp for hot water store.

    Does any one know how fast it can respond in the morning ? If I want to let the house cool to under 18c at night after 8pm then warm up the house in the morning to 21c from 6.30am onwards, would I need to turn up the heat 1 hour before ? can it heat up the house quickly ? I have 15kw of radiators. 18c only needs about 32 to 35c flow temp. 21c needs 40 to 45c. But with my gas boiler and roomstat it pushes the water temp to over 60c at the beginning until the house reaches 21c then drops back to 40c. So the house warms up quickly in 90mins. Can a heat pump do this ? How long would it take to spool up from 32c (4kw) to 60c with a 15kw circuit (@60c). The radiators can become hot within 40mins with a gas boiler. Im considering the Omnicore Duo 18kw with ecodan water heater for the winter to use with radiators, an underfloor circuit and the hot water tank, plus some Diamond star AC units for the summer.

    Does the lowering of this temperature make any bacteria problems? I know there is the cleaning mode and then it goes over 60c or something and it should kill those. We have Ecodan and it is also heating bathroom. I have no idea how the bathroom might have 27c even if the pump is set to 23c. Makes no sense in my mind. Well it does not show in electric bill. Also it is also tricky to have good temperature in the bathroom at summer times as all the rest should have almost no heating. This year we moved the remote control near the bathroom and it works best like that. All the other thermostats in the other rooms are almost closed. Only bathroom and room next to it are open. Bathroom fully open.
