The road to Birdsville & Big Red. Camping and 4wd. Cooper's Creek. Betoota Hotel. Birdsville Hotel.
มุมมอง 1.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Along the dusty road to Birdsville we stop at a few "points of interest" including Cooper's Creek, JC Ruins, the hole through the hill and the Betoota Hotel. Of course we had to visit the Birdsville Hotel and do a day trip out to Big Red for a bit of sand driving. Another week away with the boys for our annual Jindabyne Open trout fishing comp. This year was the first time using my Sea-doo Fish Pro. I wasn't sure if it would be any good trolling tassies for trout, but turns out it was quite effective and I scored a 2nd place in the comp. You just absolutely stripped the shallows of ay least 50 female crabs, id say you got 1 decent bluey for the whole day. You need to go out another 500metres to find the real blueys. Amateurs you just pillaged that beach of all its helpless breeders!!

    First of all great video! Makes me want to do some more crabbing over here. I know @tyik just asked for the bag limit, but honestly, do you need that many crabs! Also, I know females are legal in SA but depleting female stocks that much will cause less crabs in future years. I normally take a few females and only keep the amount I know I will appreciate. Too many crabs means you can’t appreciate them.

    Hey mate, odd query…but we are looking at this location to use for a Lara Croft Tomb Raider photoshoot & I was wondering if you know if it’s likely that all the occupants of those cars would be going all the way up to that jump rock spot? Or is there other spots along the water that people head to also? Obviously we can’t have people in the background of the shot 😅 What time in the morning were you there that you were the only ones? Cheers 😊

      @earthscapeimages5829 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Amanda, It does get very busy up there particularly in the warmer months so it would be best to go early. I believe that there has been some issues with the walking track up to jump rock lately and it has been closed. I know heaps of people still go up there but not sure if it has been officially reopened yet.
