You told them to lower the window when they installed it high to start, stating they are to be the same height as each other. You guys do things so much very casual in UK, there is no way you could in NZ or AUSSIE like that, no rebar, bricks on damp course no anchorage, structural anchors into brick, non engineering welding. very different to things here down under, but hey i guess buildings are standing and many survived war bombings. Those shifters are worth their weight in gold. You need a mini grab truck that could be out with a man, earning while also being available for your own jobs. Did they lower that steel during the knock-through? They knew what was wrong and hoped it wasn’t picked up. Also, you need to get the lads organised and ensure the tools are put away properly, keeping the site clear. It’s frustrating to watch and important to keep track of all the tools.

You need your own grab lorry, and a screener, and a bigger yard!! ;-)

Should get one of them little powerbanks that ha e jumpstart as well, they start cars with completely dead batteries so should turn that thing over all day long when the battery dies

We got a couple of Howden branches where I live but 1 in particular is absolutely shocking they never send out a complete kitchen. Ino joiners now saying if the kitchen from Howdens there not interested in fitting it as it's that much of a fight with waiting days for stuff that still to follow and it been measured wrong they don't make money from them as they can't be in and out

I think you can get something called an indemnity policy drawn up to cover stuff like the party wall. Not too expensive, we had reason to take one out on the property we bought. Ask your solicitor

Nothing worse than walking around in mud trying to work in it my old boss prices in a few tone of type 1 on the job has he digging the foundation he scraps a path right round it stones it up so your not paddling the mud everywhere makes the site more cleaner and more safe especially this time of the year.

Hi mate anthor video yeah they should of put a line from the existing retailer 9inch wall to the other side then pump down from the line marked it to the wall there building back up and went from yhat young fella looks lkke is he in his first year at college if it was me i would be getting him to use his level and pump up and tape garge as well profiles are good but am old fashioned like your self you learn more than putting profiles up i no your on a tight budget but sometimes your better him thinking right got to level up pump garger making sure double check the 9inch wall as shown early on video the wall had gone tits up but dont think he was on it , all change now my was nvc leve one first year full 5 day in college 90 a week then on site yesr two one day a week at college then year 3 one day a week at college them got my nvc level 3 then went out on my own 2 1 on price but profiles we didng use them because back them it went dead b them but now lads turn with profiles bash shit out of the house on site anyways done my years on site wouldnt go back like work like you do i dont just do bricklayering i do plastering riting out footings concete puting base in prep them up concete them drainage work dont get me wrong i love bricklayering i do but like doing groundworks digger work but best way the young lad learns throw him in he will learn more with u on site than college its better on site my old boss would of kicked of big double handling i hate that as well loving the videos keep them going mate smashing it 🧱👊👊👊👊👊

Lever on rocker cover is a de-compression lever. You hold the lever down whilst hand cranking to build momentum in the fly wheel, then let the lever go as you pull the starter handle out. The lever stops your cylinder creating compression by holding open one of the cylinder head valves.

Those m16 bolts are unbelievably strong in your situation. The floor design is using sheer strength to hold up the floor I’d bet that a single bolt strength would far exceed the weight of the entire floor. I think they are rated at over 5 tons before failure. Basically the timber floor would fall through long before one of those bolts would sheer as would the brick that’s holding the bolt.

Those easy joints are an absolute no-brainer it seems!
