Ich habe diesen RC für den Einsatz auf Forststraßen gebaut und das Hinterachsdifferenzial gesperrt, da dies die Traktion auf losem oder rutschigem Untergrund verbessert. Es hilft dem RC auch, kleine Hindernisse zu überwinden und steilere Steigungen zu erklimmen. Das Vorderachsdifferenzial ist offen, weil es dadurch effizienter lenken kann. Wenn ich diesen RC in sehr unwegsamem Gelände mit sehr steilen Steigungen einsetzen würde, würde ich für eine bessere Traktion das vordere und hintere Differential sperren. Wenn ich diesen RC nur auf der Straße nutzen würde, würde ich wie bei einem normalen Straßenfahrzeug beide Achsdifferenziale offen lassen. Ich hoffe, das ist hilfreich. I built this RC for use on forest trails and locked the rear differential as this improves traction on loose or slippery surfaces. It also helps the RC go over small obstacles and climb steeper inclines. The front axle differential is open because this allows it to steer more efficiently. If I were to use this RC on very rough terrain with very steep inclines, I would lock the front and rear differentials for much better traction. If I were to only use this RC on the road, I would leave both axle differentials open like a normal road vehicle. I hope this is helpful. Thank you for watching my video.

It was a toss up between the trooper and the centaur,let me know what you think of the trooper plz mate👍👍as it’s looking highly likely it will be in my home before very long👍🤣🤣🤣

The Trooper is a bit top heavy out of the box but I replaced the stock plastic wheels and glued tyres with metal beadlocks and Axial tyres on mine and they helped with that. I don't really feel the need to upgrade anything else. I'm also impressed that it comes with a full interior, driver, and inner fenders as stock for the low price too. Hi Lou. I'd say basically it's a regular lexan body. The roof of the cab and bonnet/hood are good and quite sturdy. It handled a few tumbles well without any damage. The lexan is thinner at the bottom of the cab and there was already a small split at the rear corner behind the left hand door when I bought it. But this doesn't actually show in the video.

@ Awesome thanks, my mst body was the same the bottom by the doors and fenders were very thin So far of all the RCs I’ve bought the traction founder has had the best lexan body very thick all the way around I wish injora would expand there hardbody way more with so many interesting designs they stay mostly with jeep Thanks again ✝️🙏🏽😎☮️

Thanks Mal. The Injora motor has a low growl which I quite like compared to some of the high squeal motors in my other RC's. The GoPro's mic also picked up the ESC's whine which I didn't notice so much when I was filming the run. I got fed up trying to find suitable music to mask these sounds in editing so I don't bother so much now.

Thank you very much Rich. It wasn't too dirty at the end because it was going slowly. Just the tyres really which I let dry and then brushed off the dirt before I wiped them clean with a damp cloth. Good as new again now 😀👍🏼👍🏼

It's a surprisingly heavy RC for it's size and definitely top heavy. I think the wheels have helped with that. This Trooper is now my favourite FTX.

This one was a pre-release demo model sent to a friend by an RC retailer in the U.K to make a promotional video for TH-cam for them th-cam.com/video/dwI3HFnP77A/w-d-xo.html It was supplied with RGT decals on and he was asked to take those off and apply some FTX decals that they also supplied. So the FTX & RGT versions for sale to the public now are essentially the same as far as I'm aware. I bought this from him a few months ago when he'd finished filming with it.

Hi Del. Thank you very much for your kind words my friend. That's a very good point about the leaf springs and heat shrink. I did it because I didn't like the way they looked so unrealistic out of the box, but now you mention it they could be stiffer as a result of the change.

@hollyhillrc ... but if they are and you like it as it is, then what you did was to cleverly find a scale-realistic way to solve a problem : )

Hi Del. Thank you very much for your kind words. The leaves on the ground are even more enormous this year for some reason, to the point where I haven't bothered running anything because it's hard to see the trails in the woods and it would be difficult to make a scale looking video. I hope you are healthy and enjoying life my friend.

@hollyhillrc At some point we have to admit defeat and just make a nice RC run vid : ) I am well, thank you, Derek. I haven't been posting videos because my laptop seems to be very cross about something and won't allow me to edit footage. I'll have the software open and be working happily away, and the laptop will abruptly begin opening folders, playing videos, running other software, etc. I believe the machine to be possessed by demons. I have tried exorcising these by gently puffing herbal smoke into the cooking slots but it hasn't helped. I think I need to convince a young person to come round and offer it counselling, that, or take it to a repair place. I'm reluctant to do that, as they'll just cheerfully go ahead and format the bl**dy thing, and I just know that if we do that I shall end up regretting the loss of some priceless footage or something.

Good to know you are ok Del. I lost a lot of important stuff when my PC stopped working a few years ago. I hadn't backed anything up elsewhere and I was really upset about that. I had to replace the PC and I also bought a Western Digital portable hard drive and started to back up everything on to it. But that packed up soon after the warranty expired just over a year later. "Go figure". So I invested in a portable SSD drive. They're expensive but they're more reliable than the cheaper portable hard drives which have little CD drives inside. An SSD drive is basically big SD card with no moving parts, so less to go wrong. I have two now and I back everything up on both of them. So it's a double back up procedure, and double safe in this house now Del. Can't be too safe mate 😀 Hope you get your laptop sorted one way or another soon 👍🏼👍🏼

@hollyhillrc Thank you! I treasure it because it has a copy of Windows Live Movie Maker on it, which can receive the .MOV files from my camera and work with them. If I have to get a newer laptop I fear there will be a painful learning procedure and perhaps I might have to get a newer camera.
