    Do you know what lie angle the putter was before bending it up?

    The sliding ‘knob’ seems to get in my way imo more than helps. I took mine off (easy with bench grinder) and am going to try without. The socket can hook up to my wrench and/or small battery operated wrench (being sure not to go too fast). But also using an extension allows me to set it inside the bench vice below the shaft..and use it to aid in balance….which allows me to use one hand to apply heat and other hand to turn wrench (or tap/ pulse).

      Add to my 3d wish list a small attachment that will fit over the metal plate to provide additional bearing surface and maybe one for inside to make a nice non-marring surface. Seems it would be fairly simple to design…

    As a senior with a slower swing speed, my results from standard Callaway steelhead hybrid vs one length Pinhawk was totally different. Pinhawk was much higher launch, steeper descent and distance was almost equal with Pinhawk being 2 yards more (using 25* on both clubs)Later purchsed the Cobra F9 and they are slightly longer than the Pinhawks and again the launch was high with steep descent.

    A couple tips. Step 1 should be heating up the ferrule for about 15 seconds, and use a scraper or razor blade to cut it out. Now the connection between the made plates, and the club head are much more tight, direct and accurate. Step 2, The heat source should never stop moving. When you keep the flame pointed at 1 area of the club, especially on graphite, that's when the melting, chipping and cracking happens. The design and concept is nice and will work, but eventually, if you are pulling a ton of shafts, you'll need a way to mount all pieces of the jig permanently. Good job Kley Golf!!

    Great little video. I always enjoy the DIY route to problem solving. Just a suggestion, but instead of using a gear puller, you might wanta try using a woodworking pipe clamp. I think it would give you a little better leverage, plus with a little creativity, you can find a way to mount it solid so you don't feel like you need 4 hands.

    Revisiting this video after a few months and I really agree with so many of the sentiments. I am a new golfer, been playing for a little over a year and currently play off 20hcp. Being a recent graduate and newly wed, practice time is limited, I’m lucky if I can get 9 holes in on the weekend with a range session in the middle of the week. So for equipment, anything that makes the game easier I am all for! No pride or ego here. I currently use Cobra OL hybrids in a 4h and 5h, and I am looking at the Eleven brand to replace my 6i and maybe even 7i in the future. I also use Cleveland Smart Sole wedges which includes a chipper. In terms of practice, focusing on short game has been the biggest improvement so far. I’m sure as my handicap lowers, the long game will become important. But for now, being as dialed as possible on the greens and 100 yards in is the focus. Life golf goal is to play off scratch at my home course, and break 80 at courses I visit. No rush to accomplish that, just slow and steady. My goal this year is to break 85 at both my home courses and lower my handicap. Thanks for this video, serves as a reminder that good golf can be achieved even with a busy life, just requires some intentionality.

    Great concept and video. I agree that a) going with higher lofted hybrids is a good way to go, and b) gapping becomes interesting when one does this. I was able to get down to 25 degrees with hybrids, and I'm currently testing the 2014 Adams ironwoods in the 6 and 7 slot to replace my irons (TS1-IMs). I'm thinking these might gap better than full-on hybrids (the Adams 2014 heads don't have bulge and roll, and are more compact than even their own really small head hybrids). I have also, however, got my hands on a full-on Adams 6 hybrid that I'm going to go toe to toe with the ironwoods.

    I’ve tried swinging like this but it feels so unnatural for me, also, my hands spin out. Did the same thing happen to you? If so, did you actively have to drop them?

    • @KleyGolf
      @KleyGolf 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I found that any swing change (when you actually do the change) feels VERY unnatural. For me to get it to the point of comfort where I can do the new move subconsciously it takes a lot of time. Like a month or more. My hand path has been pretty in to out, so I don't have to feel any dropping. If you have more of that spin out / over the top thing then I would definitely start with that.

    You kind of mentioned it during the sequencing part, but when I'm turning and pushing my lead hip back, my club feels closer to the ball (you described it as being able to reach far past the ball). What do you do from this position to hit the ball without it digging straight into the ground? I'm finding Im fatting everything working on this movement

      I also like right arm only swings - th-cam.com/video/4RcOpkPFtfM/w-d-xo.html When I do a right arm only swing I find that if I 'flip' the club gets really out of control. If I try and focus instead on keeping angle in the right elbow and wrist and simply pivoting the body I can hit the ball much more solidly.

    The problem with the discussion over early extension is that everyone tries to solve it by staying back more or keeping their butt against something like a golf bag as you say when that's just trying to bandaid the issue. You have to treat the cause to really stop early extension. The issue is usually that people setup too far or have their weight back on their heels. When you try to get dynamic and swing the club with force, you'll just naturally come back to even balance which moves you towards the ball. The key is to be on the balls of you feet with your knees in proper position over your feet when you set up and hit the top of the backswing. From there, you'll stay balanced naturally because humans are good at that.

    • @KleyGolf
      @KleyGolf 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do agree setup is important. My old swing had poor setup. Too much knee flex. Back is very flexed / straight. Butt pushed back. Better to be more neutral with some curve in the back. Pelvis pointing more up or level. Butt tucked under. For me though, setup changes weren't enough. I needed the work on sequencing and release to really make it change.
