Did you find your metal barrels.... I swear you looked familiar. I've actually watch all your videos. Then you came into my office and I was like where do I know him from 😂
That's really funny! Yes I got the barrels. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction! I might even make a maple syrup video someday. 👍
Good good glad I could help. If you ever need insulation I'm your guy lol. I'll be waiting to see it !! I've only lived in NB 2 years and used your videos to go check stuff out and learn about the province. Keep up the videos buddy there awesome.
I grew up on Main St. in the North End and a boyhood friend and I used to set pins in the basement of one of the buildings in the St Peters complex. I don't recall which building had bowling alleys in the basement but I presume it was the rec center. This was the 1950s and the pins not automatic, they were reset manually by teens. I didn't dare tell my mom what I was doing because my family were baptist. It was bad enough that I had catholic buddies but to actually go onto the church property was an absolute no-no. It's one reason I'm now a pantheist. I'm very sorry they felt it necessary to demolish the church.
It’s not a hornet. It’s a Cicada Killer.
Hi Mike, thank you for this great Video. I was out on my Motorcycle two months ago, came down to the Cemetery and McLarens beach, I wondered if I might link your video in my comments section as a reference to the beach and the Cemetery, my wife loves the stories in cemetery's, we often find our way to one.
Sure, no problem. Glad you enjoyed the history and the location.
@ thank you!
I'm discovering this video October 25,2024. I was born here in Saint John, N.B. and grew up in these areas. Mother nature, ironically, we have been having an "Indian summer" as we have had many locals experiencing homelessness after many immigrants migrated here. The inflation and unnecessary actions of government enforcement have been needing a more authentic honest open communication to ensure equal human rights, respect, education for vitality in nutritional agriculture, family and general human relations with a more balanced cost of living to fare with earnings over all persons of all ages, single adult or family household dynamics considerations. Healing and respecting individuals ability in doing so a therapeutic holistic manner is achieved. God Blessed, continued prayers for peace, forgiveness, gratitude for quality of life caring with dignity and praise the Lord, in Jesus name Amen My prayers to end the homelessness before the winter season and that mother nature continues with warmer temperatures for anyone in need of adequate housing. Community matters especially when we need to raise awareness of those who have been mistreated, neglected or disregarded with faulty bias opinions and inaccurate information. Encouragement, patience, acts of kindness do help and are free in giving humanity a greater purpose to share. Thank goodness for God is great and loves you more! ✌️❤🙏🫒🌄🌈🌏⚘️🕊🕊
I lost a Go Pro at this waterfall in Fall 2023. Any chance you’ve found it? 😅
I had alot of media content on that go pro… I’d be willing to pay you guys for your trouble if you can recover it!
Hello, sorry you lost it but at least you know exactly where it is. unfortunately this was the only time I have been to this location and I don't live nearby, so have no plans on returning. You should reach out to one of the NB dive groups on Facebook and maybe someone from the Moncton area can help you out.
Are you a certified scuba diver and do you have your own scuba gear like wetsuit and dive gloves and dive hood and dive boots and dive fins and dive mask and scuba tank and bcd and regulator to breath from and breath underwater with scuba regulator for scuba diving who is your dive buddy for scuba diving and how long did it take you to do your scuba training and how does it feel to breath underwater with scuba regulator

Thanks for the video, while watching, so many happy memories came rushing back! As a youngster in the 1950's, we neighbourhood kids would take the ferry from Charlottetown over to Rocky Point so that we could spend the afternoon jumping and diving off the wharf. We were all around 10 years old at the time and our parents were apparently comfortable allowing us to do so unaccompanied, the only stipulation being that we had to be home by suppertime! It was a different era and Charlottetown was an idyllic place in which to grow up. How times have changed!
I went to Argonaut for 4 weeks during the summer for cadet camp and this is one of the places we went
Ever been to BayShore beach on the west side? Old cannon fort right along the beach
In St. JOHNS, where do you recommend for good Fish & Chips?
Thank you so much for cleaning these places up. I've only been once but next time I'm bringing a garbage bag. We all have to help or the place will be over run and people will be shut out.
I believe a local historian Harold Wright found this location about 30 or more years ago (probably not the first to know about it), I went to UNBSJ at the same time as he did and we were both in the same history class, European Expansionism taught by Professor Hawkes (RIP) in 1979. Thanks for the video I knew about this place through Harold but had never been there.
Been there many many times first I've herd of a ghost there and live here for 50+ years use to party on that beech as a youth
Thanks for recording this video. I remember this church from my childhood and am sad to see that they chose to demolish it.. My grandfather used to play for the Saint Peter's Maples in the 1920s and played at the baseball field that you also showed. My father and his family attended the church when they grew up. I am glad that at least some of the old structures are still left on the old site. I will be back in Saint John soon to take my children there at the end of the summer. Again, thank you for your time and effort putting this together for all to see.
Amazing history thank you for sharing it
What's the best time of the day for whale watching, in terms of number of animals and displaying of playful behavoiur?
My great-grandfather, Jack Perry, his mother was a McLaren. My grandfather lived in one of the houses that used to be on the beach, in the ‘40’s…when he was born. My mom has the documents stating they came in from England via ship and landed at McLarens beach. Walked their belongings up and down Sand Cove rd, until deciding to settle on the beach. I was there today and even found a fossil. One of my happy places and makes me feel connected to ancestors!
My parents were married at St. Bridget's on November 11, 1948, a boyhood friend of my father was Father Joe Osborne, his was a member of ther order and is buried at St. Peter's.
I miss this church so much I wish they would rebuild it. All that remains there is what’s left of that beautiful church I used to sit on the big steps for hours praying to Jesus it was my safe haven me and my uncle would sit there and just talk about our lives and how the lord is working on us love the people there as well cried so much when it went down
I've been to Laverty Falls but not the other two spots. Are they hard to get to?
I wonder how much bribe $ was given to whomever makes these decisions?
If you ever go back right where u jump off I lost my gold wedding band
I wonder it that one could be made airworthy and phew it's stored inside in winter
Thank you. Excellent presentation.
Churches aren't beautiful. Stop for a minute to think what they represent.
❤❤❤❤❤ 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂😂😂I
you can get ti the cuts if you go through hampton over the bridge before you turn left by the vegetable stand to go to belisle. go straight and thete is a road on the left about 3 minutes on the left of thst road. turn left then left again and a quick right. the road to the cuts is on the right off thst road....good luck
i used to go to the cuts and you could see so clear to the bottom. what a shame that such a beautiful place is littered with garbage
God bless you!
Thank you for your stewardship in cleaning up the trash!
Me and a Friend had this same type experience at a 250 year old cemetery in SC years back
I love how you explained where each one was at as you were at them 🙄
What time of year is this
Were these bought as surplus to be used in NB as freighters? I'd like to see these but don't think I'll climb through the mud plus I have zero kayak know and zero ATV knowledge.
I was just looking for this on google maps and saw it wasn't on it's pad. I was wondering what happened. Thanks for showing that it's in storage for the winter. I'll be in NB shortly and might try to make it over to Boisetown. I saw your video on IMJ which led me to look for this one.
Meat Cove is the beginning of Cape Breton Island, not the end, stunning vistas
Many many years ( decades) ago there was a cement plant up river from the bridge that had a breach into the river decimating the salmon population. My Dad used to catch salmon in this river almost as long as our picnic table in the early 80’s .
THERE WERE HOUSES THERE UNTIL THE GROUND HOG STORM
Hi allowed to practice spearfishing in river are at Sea?!
Fantastic travel vlogs for our area - we love this. Excellent content!
Fantastic Video - Great history and facts
I'm in AWE Thank you for taking this. I had no idea. I've never seen inside. The 1880s ? Two at once. Heritage ? Umm 🤷♀️ ...they're working on getting more removed from "heritage" so they can build new and say that that will be the same or something. For tourists? What?:liek where's mom and dad?? Where's Donald Trump to say "YOU'RE FIRED!!" 😮😅 OMG this is like.. waaahhtt 🤣🤣🤣 I'm so glad there's a record of those thank you!! These atrocities will soon be known! Tartaria.only explanation. Mud floods. Covering up history. Those churches were powerful electricity conductors I'm pretty sure . Something about the pyramids and church steeples. Directional energy one directs it up and out , the other attracts it in. No one has anything to say for themselves about this. ? #sus #af #conspiracy
Bro! You are a wealth of knowledge! Your enthusiasm is infectious. I went through boot camp just up the road in Cornwallis 40 years ago. Man I feel old now. I spent 4 years at Base Gagetown and would venture down to SJ on occasion. Are you military? Getting strong vibes. Digby is such a amazing small town that punches way above it's weight. Reminds me of Saint Andrews in NB. I hope you another video of Digby at a slower pace for old people. Will probably take my bike for the Bike fest in late August. Are you from SJ? Assuming as you said you worked for BFL. I subbed to channel based on this one. Keep up the great work, Pal! Cheers
Just found your channel. Awesome work man! I always wanted to do a story about Leo the Hermit who had a shack on the side of the hill facing the bay near Churchill Heights. We used to visit him all the time as kids. He was a good man. Fixed my bike a couple of times. Elsie Wayne made him tear it down cause it was an "Eyesore to tourists" and they built him a cabin not very far in the woods where he was later shot in the back with a shotgun. Nobody was ever caught and that tics me off. I have my suspicions.
I would love to get a back story of this church because I research this & came across this video because I had a dream that I was in a big church and the details I could remember was ‘St Peter’s & 74’. I’m uncertain what this means… I’m in NB.
I used to live in Saint John West from 1964-1991 and I went on the Princess of Acadia twice. I enjoyed it.
