In the last 2 years I’ve been quietly working on my own fishing brand! I bought a CNC and I have worked tirelessly to learn feeds and speeds for cutting aluminum. I’ve had to learn how to use engineering software to design my own custom baits, and I’ve had to learn everything there is to designing and making injection molds. For a while, I thought I was in over my head. I kept working at it and...

He?
Way to get the season started brotha!! Congrats!!!!
Thanks bro!
That wind was not playing around, good work!
Thanks man, it’s always windy when it’s time to go fishing!
Great job out there! It was fun watching you on the standings!
Thanks!
I see that crappie you showed made it into the video too 😂 That thing was a slab
I’ve caught some big slabs this year. Too bad we’re not fishing crappie tournaments lol
Man all those bass in there were SO fat. Congrats again you killed it on a tough day!
Thanks bro!
What launch you used to fish this area
@@SeanJohnson-f1j middleton’s fish camp
Good size fish and nice lures. I’ll check out the website. Thumbs up video.
Thanks!
Looks like perfect weather for a good bite, very nice big one what did she eat a worm?
I caught it on a bait I designed. It’s the Oracle Segment, which is pretty much a shaky worm. Thanks for the comment!
Hey Richard.....can you please go over your line/leader set up for the different baits you throw when you are in grass & pads? I fish out of a yak the majority of the time also and only have room for 4 combos....being from up North originally I really struggle with what line/leader set up's to use when I get to a body of water that has thick vegetation since our only real cover up in our Northern lakes are wood and rock. Thanks & have a nice holiday season!!
Thanks for the comment! I will usually use straight braid when I’m flipping and pitching unless the water is very clean. When I fish anything finesse or any bait that the fish can get a good look at in example wacky rigged stick bait, jerkbait, glide bait i will usually have a flurocarbon leader tied on. I use a 10lb leader on the wacky rig and 12lb leader on jerkbaits etc. The biggest thing I think about when deciding on a leader is how they’re biting. If I’m fishing something fast and I know they’re reacting and don’t have alot of time to get a look at it I won’t use a leader. If it’s something they can follow or get a good look at I will add a leader. I hope this helps you out. Happy Holidays!
solid bag of fish! the new craw looks awesome
Thanks man!
Can’t wait to see more action with the Craw!
That’s awesome you’re starting your own company! Good luck Sir!
Thank you!
What ramp you use to go out of TOHO
Whaleys landing on the south end.
@ is the speed worm one of the best lures over there
@@SeanJohnson-f1jif you haven’t been, lake toho has a lot of hydrilla in it. I usually do well with a lipless burning it over the grass. I’ve so caught a lot of fish on a wacky rigged stick bait. You can’t go wrong with a Texas rigged speed worm though. It works great in most Florida lakes.
@ I’m coming fish kississime soon you have any help for me
@@SeanJohnson-f1jI haven’t been down to Kissimmee in a while but you can’t go wrong throwing a Texas rigged speed worm. June bug is the best color out there.
hey man i’m 16 years old looking to get into tournaments do you know any opens in north florida ?
I seen you! I couldn’t tell if it was you or not lol. This last week I’ve been and they’re definitely in the pads. White swim jig in the morning over the submerged mats right by the pads and once the sun gets up punching has been the ticket. Nothing huge but have caught a handful of 3 and 4 lbrs
Orange Lake has been good lately. I caught a 9 pounder and then came back the following week and caught one just shy of 8. There were 2 10s and a 8 caught during our championship. I originally had a solid game plan but they sprayed my spots and it changed things. Fish were still there, I just had to fish for them differently. Thanks for sharing how your trip went. I just started a bait company and I designed some new craws, so I’ll have to get out there to flip some pads and punch some mats. Thanks for the comment!
@@richardwhitefishing I fished Orange yesterday for the first time ever and caught 9 bass....nothing over 3 lbs but I did lose a giant on a chatterbait in the grass. I could tell lots of the areas I was in had been sprayed recently but was clueless on whether I should have left to find non-sprayed areas or what. How do you approach areas that have been sprayed and how in your opinion does it affect the fish? Is there a time frame after an area has been sprayed where the fish pull out of that area?
The worst thing about sprayed areas for me is the water quality. It can also change your pattern or the way you approach fishing for bass. Running Livescope I’ve noticed that the areas that were sprayed still had fish but without grass or pads it changed the pattern on how I targeted them. After an area has been sprayed most of the aquatic vegetation will be decomposing. The decomposing vegitation will usually mix with the water and make the water very dirty and murky. For our tournament, the guys who did well left there areas to find clean water. When the water is dirty you can usually pick them off with vibrating lures like a chatterbait or switching up colors to something darker. In conclusion, when fishing is tough in sprayed areas, I will usually move to find clean water.
@@richardwhitefishing I really appreciate your input on this question and the others I've sent you! I'm so new to Florida fishing and the use of chemicals....there were areas yesterday where I swear I could smell the poison which me being a health nut kinda messed with me mentally because I know how bad health wise that crap is! At one point yesterday I stuck my paddle in the water to gauge the depth I was in and it turned to chocolate milk, I've never seen that before fishing and thought to myself " screw this, I woudn't want to live here if I was a fish" and found cleaner water....I'm limited in the distance I can go cause I still use a paddle only, but the areas I found with no mud is where I found the bass. There didn't seem to be any reason that a lot of those areas should have been sprayed in my opinion, but I see that's a fight Florida fisherman have been fighting for ages which is sad.
Great video! I honestly didn't know we could gig in Jacksonville. Thought it would be murky here lol. This is awesome. May need to do some research around here.
Oh yeah, after this video we got pretty efficient. I was going to make another video but this one didn’t really get too much interest. We go out to sisters creek and limit out. Once we got a good process down, we were on them. Flounder season just ended for us Oct 15 but since we’ve been out looking for sheepshead. If you’re looking for cleaner water St. Augustine is pretty good as well.
Nice vid. Are you fishing a flat?
Thanks! I was fishing a little cove that had Lilly pads on one side and hydrilla Matts on the other. The bass were stacked in there. They’ve recently sprayed the lake though, it killed a lot of the hydrilla and pads I was fishing.
@ yeah that’s unfortunate. I hate when that happens. I do plan to fish there in the next few weeks. I’m watching as many orange lake videos as possible lol
Check out chris mitchell fishing. He has a good TH-cam channel and he just won our Bassnation championship out there a few weeks ago. There’s some giants in orange lake. I caught a 9.12lb bass and the following week I caught one just shy of 8 pounds. There were 2 10 pounders and an 8 pounder caught during our championship.
Nice. I will check that out. Thank you
You’re welcome. Good luck on your trip out there. Hopefully you can run onto one of those orange lake giants!
Do you prefer the north end of the lake
I have done well on both sides of the lake. The grass was pretty thick south of Marjorie Rawlings Boat ramp when I was prefishing. I do prefer the north end of the lake though.
Nice job.
Thanks!
good job brotha. looks like it was a tough day for most of the field. Whats your action and power on the chatterbait rod? I roll with a MH Moderate Fast
Thanks bro! I usually use a medium heavy as well. While prefishing I decided to throw a chatterbait last minute and I tied it on a different rod than I normally use. It’s a rod I use for small cranks and baits with treble hooks. I meant to change it out and never did and it cost me a few good fish tournament morning.
Solid finish!
Great vid, can you share your live scope settings it looks great !!
Good luck!!
Thank you!
@ you are very welcome!!
as much pressure as orange lake has had this year, it crazy how good it is still fishing!
For sure! They sprayed the lake pretty bad though. We had our bass nation championship last weekend and they killed a lot of the Lilly pads and grass in some of my spots. The water had chunks of mud floating around too. It wasn’t the best conditions but the guy who won caught a 10 pounder and there was another 9 and 8 caught on the same day. It’s been pumping out giants! Thanks for the comment!
I just got skunked out there again I never catch Bass in that lake and I live on it 😂 😂😂😂 The real fishing is at the Fellsmere grade
@ Headwaters, it’s hard to argue with that. Orange Lake has been doing better though. If you go out there and throw a chatterbait and leave it in your hand, you will run into a few of them. That’s one of the best baits on that lake in my opinion.
My favorite color that they made was chartreuse with a blue back. That bait has won me some money. Unfortunately they stop making that color. It’s fun when they’re hitting the trap though! Thanks for the comment!
That’s an interesting color trap. The classic gold trap is money also
It’s a good color. 6th sense used to make one that was chartreuse with a blue back that was money. I’ve caught a lot of fish on that color. It’s fun when the trap bite is on. Thanks for the comment!
You spoke that fish into existence 😂
Goodluck!!! 🙌
Thanks!
good stuff buddy! cant wait to try them!
Thanks brother! I have a craw I’ve been working on as well that I plan to release in November. I’m trying to be innovative and be a part of the community I love. I have a lot of great ideas I plan to share in the future. I appreciate the support!
Can’t wait to see the craw! You Should make something comparable to the BB cricket and I’ll be a customer for life lol
This craw will be similar to a speed craw, just better body to last longer. I do plan to add something similar to a bb cricket in the future!
Awesome! Good luck with your new endeavor.
Than You!
Damn!
What ramp did you launch from if you don’t mind me asking. Going to fish that lake next week never been before
I launched out of Marjorie Rawlings.
Oh man!! I qualified (my 1st time!!) but had work obligations. Hope ya did well!!
It was a tough tournament. Conditions were tough the first day. I did manage to catch some fish. I just wasn’t able to find anything big enough to move up. I finished the tournament in 18th place. I always have a good time at Guntersville. I learn something new every trip. Thanks for the comment!
Finding bass that big in public access waters is hard! They are there I’m sure…but, they are leery of everything.
Good grind! Too bad about the first fish!
Nice Catches!!!!
Thank you!
Was that a pike at 6:30?
Yeah, I caught a pickerel.
@@richardwhitefishinggrew up in crescent city and have fished and swam in Stella many times never knew it had pickerel
Stella is one of my favorite lakes to fish. It’s a lake I went to often as a kid and probably the first lake I learned to bass fish on. I’ve caught some big pickerel in there.
Hell yea dude thats dope!!!
💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥
Nice 👍 I love that place ! Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing
Orange Lake is a lot of fun! Thanks for the comment!
Brother I would be exceedingly careful in a craft that small on big orange. I went kayak fishing there exactly once. Got growled at by a >15 ft gator out there. If you're gonna go on that small of a boat I highly recommend carrying a firearm with you just in case. And I grew up fishing all around this area and have no fear of gators. Great catches! Are you just finding structures with a livescope?
Thanks! I always try to be careful out on the water. I know there are some big Gators in there. I actually fish orange lake quite a bit and I have fished several tournaments out there and I have never had a problem. I appreciate the heads up though. I was using my Livescope to fish outside edges of hydrilla and I would also fish any big clumps of it I could find out in open water.
@@richardwhitefishing discretion is the better part of valor! Good luck out there man. I need to get one of those live scopes so I can find that structure. Doing it with a top down transducer is a skill I have not mastered so I know I’m missing a lot of good spots
Livescope is definitely worth it. I know a lot of people gripe about it but I’ve had a lot of fun using it. Good luck to you as well!
What a toad!! 🐸
GIANT!!!!! Nice job brotha!!
Thanks bro!
You are on a roll this year!
Is this a public lake?
It’s not but you can gain access from the base. I think they have a list you can apply for to gain access. I’m not entirely sure. I’m a veteran, so I have base access.
I’d definitely be interested in more of these videos!
That was an awesome video!
Thanks man, I’m glad you liked it. I went out last week and left the GoPros at the house and we needed up getting 15 flounder and 3 sheepshead between me, my uncle, and brother. I may try to do a few more of these before flounder season ends.
@@richardwhitefishing that's how it always goes. Leave the cameras at the house if you want a good fishing trip ha ha
Been thinking of getting a Zulu Kayak. I'm leaning towards a pedal drive. Maybe switch over to xi3 down the road. I'm a Bass guy just looking to do a little fishing , Withlacoohee river, Lake Tarpon, Lake Rousseau.
Kayak fishing is fun. My dad bought a new boat a few years ago and I talked him into getting a kayak. We’ve probably only taken the boat out a hand full of times since. I would just suggest getting what you want the first time. I started in a little pelican kayak and then I saw people standing up fishing, so then I decided to move on and I got a ascend kayak from bass pro, after having that kayak I saw someone cruising by with a pedal drive which then made me get a Hobie compass. I like the Hobie compass and still have one but after flipping one good time, I decided to get a Hobie pro angler. If you don’t go ahead and get what you want, you’ll be wishing you did like me. I love kayak fishing. I do know a few who fish tournaments with us who have the Zulu and they love it. It’s a good kayak.
Hi Sir, what model trolling motor do you have on your kayak? I was watching an old video of you fishing on Lake Tarpon.
I have a Motorguide XI3
