@MARINAESIRI What is your definition of empowerment? empowerment at the detriment of your home. Feminism has no place in a marriage. What is more important your family or empowerment. What is this talk about flourish, why were all these not explored back home in africa. Marriage is a serious business and requires dedication and commitment from both parties. You cant have two pilots fly a plane , there is always one leader and the other is there is support. I dont have to agree with all my boss says at work, but i obey him cause he is the boss. The issue is many african women when they come abroad want to play the role of the husband. I must admit african men also have ego. Learn to keep your culture, be proud of your culture and pass it unto your children . Let us learn from the indians and the Chinese. I think there is something really wrong with the Nigerian women. For me personally if my wife is willing to share her pay with me I will gladly do the dishes and house chores, it even takes the financial burden off me. If you share all the bills, I will gladly share the chores. It is not about going to work and keeping your money to yourself. African women should not be negatively influenced by friend, every family is different, sit and discuss your issues with your husband. It really scary, what we hear here. Some women come here with plans to deal with their husbands. Marriage is not a competition.

It’s about time.. well said! The problem is not changing some parts of the culture. Some people do too much. When they get to western countries they start prioritising fun over hard work. They tend to accept too much of the new culture. I personally do not mind doing chores to support my family. Once they start making a bit of money abroad and associating with peers at work, they start to lose respect for you. Guess who I’m talking about.. that’s right!

Westjet na thier way.when i moved to Canada that trip was more than 48hours.very tiring trip.they booked us hotels in London after shifting the flight allday.then we had to spend another night in Alberta for a trip that was meant to be 9 hours ooo.
