    Hi, thanks for the video. I have purchased a 2nd hand SB12. No guard or riving knife. Noticed you have a splitter on your table. I don't want the guard so was wondering if I can insert something to the existing set-up to act as a splitter. Had a couple of kick-backs already and not fun.

    I have the exact same saw - for the most part I run a 10" blade this is the same model as the old SB10 which was discontinued, my zeros are all made from MDF and the wing inserts are also MDF... I am now looking at swapping out the wings and remaking them from 5mm Aluminum plate so on the right hand side i can add in a router as well... The fence I am building for it is made from 80/20 profile with linear bearings including a lock down on the rear to stop deflection and to add accuracy.

    @hepburn118 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    As I said to down under, they had a really bad day when they made my SB-12. My castings for the saw deck and wings are wavy and not possible to adjust up enough to make the wings level to the top anyway. I am going to have to tae to it with files and emery paper and spend hours on it to get it all in line. I wasn't expecting a Rolls Royce level saw but for $1200 I expected a shit ton more quality than I have received. Hare and Forbes dont give a shit either.

    Great &informative vid, I just got the carbitec 1hp single stage, I realy only need it for the thicknesses and belt/disk sander for the moment. I have the portable shop vac and dust separator for al the other bits n bobs. Really trying to avoid piping up the whole workshop. I'm currently making an adapter dust bin and scrapping the bag. I'm using a 35 ltr ridged plastic bucket and extending the capacity with 3 mm perspex, designing it for simple emptying and load visibility. Do you recommend adapting it to a second stage? I'm also ditching the 5 micron soft bag and using the 1 micron hard filter.

    Hi Mark, I have been on build of this project and could not locate the adapter you showed at 1.14. I have the problem of one stationary feed pipe and the reel’s 360 degree pipe that is part of the assembly. I’m searching for this part but could not find one. Can you please help naming this connector?

    Top video mate I want to do the same in my shed…..blow the fine dust out through the wall or roof with a separator and 2hp extractor. I’m having problems finding a cyclone like the one you used they all seem to have maximum 50mm outlets on eBay. Is your one bigger than that and if it is I was wondering if you could give me a link to it👍👌😉

    Thanks for your advice,,,great video,,,I bought one of these yesterday and started putting it together,It all looks sturdy and pretty well made but I have a few issues straight up, It look like it's going to fill up with dust, unless I do a lot of mods as you described,,,One major part ( the bottom plate with dust collection flange) is nowhere to be seen on the instructions, and the motor bracket just sits on the 2 shafts by it's weight alone and 2 tiny grub screws , is that right??? You have to be pretty intuitive as to what bolts, screws and washers go where , But I guess if your buying this saw your probable pretty handy.

    Finally someone that speaks Aussie. Thanks mate. Great setup. The hose routing has minimal corners. I'm building a "Side by side" version and don't know if I should go with PVC pipe or vacuum hose. (I'd prefer to buy vac hose and cut to size. Do they make hose end kits ???) Most vids are from USA (Home Depot etc...) Where can I buy hose length and end connectors ??? Bunnings are useless and I don't want to spend a fortune at Godfreys... Cheers. Happy Beers.

    I've got the same saw. How do you find the fence? I find the fence is the worst part of the saw, so bad, that I'll be looking at an aftermarket replacement. One thing, I'll be double checking my motor alignment!

    I gave you thumb is up, and I am looking to see more of your videos. It is nice work , but it is bad Idea. Speaking of the hydraulic losses, that coiled hose is a nightmare, and your system is not big enough to handle that. Maybe that system is being used in factories, but it was implemented in the wrong place. A small shop-vac would be more practical ,convenient and cost effective.
