I build them to increase the size of my trade fleet, so much more money to be made if you protect trade in a contested node with a decent sized light ship fleet, shipyards pay themselves back pretty quickly if used to buff up your trade. But i think its just a matter of playstyle and preference, I strongly dislike naval gameplay in paradox games in general anyways so I just spam light ships to make more money and not interact with them rest of the game unless I need to upgrade them when I unlock new tech.

@kimtuominen5856 90 percent of the time its not worth it Other buildings pay back way faster production buildings cost as much and you dont need to build trade ships and pay upceep 1 manufactory costs about 5 shipyards and give you more even temples are better most of the time So building them whenever possible is really bad İts the building which is delete every game when ai builds it

@@bossenes5020 The payback time depends where you are playing. If your main node is in lets say english channel you can rack up massive income if you invest in light ships and shipyards and then protect trade. Sometimes its better to privateer to steal trade from others and gain some Power projection in the process. I delete temples to make room for shipyards. And manufactory costs almost 500 ducats while shipyard costs 100 ducats. This makes it cheaper to invest in trade ship fleet first and then start racking up production income since you get access to good manufactories at tech 11. If you have enough trade power in your nodes, you rack up much more production income in the end when you steer trade from your provinces that are not in your main node. Works every single time for me, if you really want to make some cash, trade is the answer. But we can agree to disagree : )

I think the biggest misplay here is your comment. -Failing to understand the goal of the series is to follow the Mission Tree to a "T" I can't expand outside of my claims, I can't vassalize out of my claims, I am limited to exactly what the mission tree says. -I'm not going to roll for "Perfect RNG" there's no challenge in making things ideal and perfect. Take up the challenge the game actually gives you instead of forcing perfection. - I don't believe in tax meta, it doesn't grow as everything else in the game grows it stays at a flat rate. Production and trade meta are way more valuable than tax will ever be. -I need exploration to complete the Plus Ultra mission, whoops 🤭 As for Para Bellum, I have EARNED my right to be on that show. I built my channel up, they invited me because I don't always play the same nations I have versatility in playing everywhere in the game, and ontop of that I beat Lookas et Bella in the qualifiers. It's not like they just inserted me in. Has the season gone as well as I hoped? Absolutely not. But it's a different way of playing and I strive to continue to get better each week.
