Understanding Genesis (Dr. John Walton)
39:35
Well, it is true. If I tried to throw a ton of books about Astrology or Evolution at Christians or constantly invited them to a Universalist church, they would say I am being sent by Satan. Yet, Christians are allowed to do all of these things to people because they are convinced they have the "CORRECT" beliefs. The issue is none of us has absolute proof, only faith in spirituality, science or the Bible. So, Christianity, by design itself is a terroristic and hypocritical religion. Not only that but part of the Bible was inspired by Schizphrenic men, such as Abraham. He claimed God told him to k*ll his own son and before Abraham thought God was only testing him, he was going to do it. If anyone did this today, Christians and everyone else would yell for them to be locked up. By the way, there is no good or evil outside of humanity. Humans made up morals. Life does not care about morality, which is why everything under the Sun is allowed. It's also why the Zodiac K*ller was never caught.

Thanks
I love Jesus. I follow him. Yet, my fellow Christians treated me unequally. Jesus taught us to love God in all absolute and treat others as you yourself want to be treated, and forgive our enemies; but I have seen so many of my followers in Christ do horrible things, while acting like they are more pure than the other. I've seen my fellow followers in Christ curse the enemy and threatened them with such negative words and violence. If you believe Jesus truly resurrected then why are you not following what he said. If you truly believe Jesus died for our sins, then why are you deliberately committing sin. If you truly believe in Jesus, then why are you discriminating against each other. If you truly believe Jesus is the one, true, and only judge, then why are you always judgemental towards others. I have trust and faith in Jesus Christ, but I have lost my trust on people who call themselves "Christians." See, if you truly believe in God, live a moral and ethical life, and follow the 3 ultimate commands of Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter if you think you are off the hook just because you SAY you believe in Jesus, ask yourself, are you truly living a Jesus life or are you just pretending. Just Remember, you can have all your fun here on Earth, because once the time is up, you will have to answer to the Judge in front of heavens gate. One might say in the reply, "You are being judgemental." Being judgemental, is assuming things about others and drawing conclusions, but here I'm not assuming but have state the facts which I experienced. Even Jesus is not judgemental, he knows all, that's why he is the Supreme Judge. He has all the evidence of our sins.
Can someone please send me the book he states by texting evidence ..
My dad told me he was a work with 2 other guys when the towers got hit and when the second plain hit his buddy said "What kind of plain flying is this"
This is so unbelievably Protestant
the reference to neither cold nor hot....and spewing from his mouth... this scares alot of christians, but I dont think it has to. I would say most here are either hot or cold. hot being those who believe who are inspired to do lots of works for the lord...missionaries, street preachers etc etc......cold are those who believe but they are those who consider their faith sufficient. We are saved by faith alone......the lukewarm would be more offensive because they are like agnostics...open to believing without actually believing in Jesus..maybe go to church to placate a family member. If you find yourself here...I doubt you are them.
May I kindly suggest not using the word whore. It is a derogatory term and women might be listening who have either been in the sex-trade, or still are. It may be unnecessarily hurtful as they hopefully grow closer to our Lord. Thank you, kindly, for considering.
I was very disappointed that enquiring and consulting of the Holy Spirit through prayer was NOT the first option given to the young man by Dr. Tureck. I think in our efforts to be so pragmatic and practical with understanding the Bible, we as Christians have strayed from the most effective and accurate method way of determining the true meaning of scripture. The Holy Spirit does not have to give one an interpretation of the scriptures, for He, the Holy Spirit "IS" the scripture. If the scriptures are truly inspired, (God breathed), (2 Timothy 3:16), then what better way to to gain the most accurate understanding of scripture than the one who wrote it . Again the Holy Spirit does NOT have to give you an interpretation but because HE "IS" the scripture, one has the opportunity to receive something much greater and always 100% accurate with the Holy Spirit and that is REVELATION!.. Saints let's not become so practical and pragmatic with the Word of God that we fail to be always be SPIRITUALLY pragmatic and practical. Let's NOT be so earthly minded that we are no heavenly good!...AMEN..SELAH!
I'm sorry there is a distinct lack of evidence for the resurrection- there is only faith which is the excuse believers give when they have no evidence.
Thank you Christians let's spread his name From Philippines
What about the promises given by prophets who came After Joshua or after the exile? Your answer doesn't address that at all
AMEN. Praise Jesus. I believe in the Father; I believe in the Son, and I believe in the Holy Spirit...AMEN

i thank the likes of Frank and Cliff for sacrificing themselves to the study of scripture and then to purpose on sharing the truths that you have found. i kinda disagree on one concept though, and its in regard to the sabbath. the sabbath was given to man at the beginning of time. it was given to Adam (Gen.2:1-3) and it was given becoz God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. even in Exodus as He gave them the commands , He cautioned to remember the sabbath day to keep it Holy becoz He created the world in six days (Exodus.20:8-11). the sabbath was given before sin happened.and to it was given to all peoples not the jews alone. Also the sabbaths talked about by the apostle Paul i believe are the special sabbath days to do with the temple active of purification (leviticus 23:6-36) i need to remind that worship on sunday began quite later, far after the apostles were long gone and it is common knowledge that the catholic church under the office of the pope changed or as it is rightly put shifted the sanctity of the sabbath from saturday to sunday. this was not God guided. check the "convert's Catechism of the Catholic Doctrine"
There came a time when they no longer asked him questions. The reason for "morality" questions is because it's inherent...their guilt from acts they knew they were not to do. The law opposed to them he nailed to the cross for it was them who nailed him there. "Whatever you did to the least of these you did to me." When did they no longer need to ask him any questions? Selah

Ancient stories inspired by Greek mythology prove nothing except the fact that people could write creatively 2000 years ago. If God had been involved in the affairs of the USA we'd have stayed home during those early years of this century instead of committing endless war crimes everywhere in the Mid East. This man you speak about had zero business in Iraq in the first place.
God is the greatest architect man will ever know
The Bride of Christ is the Church, NOT the New Jerusalem. Revelation 22:6 says, "Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. 6 The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true." Notice the angel did NOT say, "These words are Hebraic, Apocalyptic language." While there clearly are metaphors throughout the Bible not everything is a metaphor. AND, a metaphor has to have a metaphorical significance. For instance, Jesus is called the "Bread of Life" because just like bread gives us nutritional sustenance, Jesus gives us spiritual sustenance. This would be carrying the metaphor too far if you said, "Jesus is the bread of life, He is eight inches long, four inches wide, six inches high, and He is made of wheat, olive oil and sesame seeds. AND He weighs five pounds. Here is the description of God's Holy City: "And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. 16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia (roughly 1500 miles) in length, and as wide and high as it is long. 17 The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits thick. 18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass. 22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Does this sound like a metaphor for the Church? Or does it sound like God's Holy City and His Throne coming down from Heaven to be God's home with His church? By the way, it says, "The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it." Doesn't make any sense to say, the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into the Bride of Christ the church.
Thank you Frank The truth is so beautiful that you feel so relaxing and calming sensation that have no equal inside yourself when you know in your heart you have found it .
Do these exist as slides one could download? Or a document that could be shared?
So, do chiastic literary devices help explain certain differences in the gospels? Is this structural design one reason why they aren't all organized in the same order?
This is so helpful!
We've been trying to contact you regarding your extended car warranty....you need car shield....
The amount of Jews “murdered” was inflated and hitler was made to look way worse than he actually was.
He still wasn’t very good though.
Why should I fear Jesus Christ if He's going to do the same thing as men? Matthew 10:28 KJV 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
I hate Frank Turek and I am a hardcore atheist.
There is no god idiot christians. Chistianity is a myth.
Great video! However, I disliked it because it has ads.
Not His name, but what He is a God, Diety. Jehovah is His name.....
And this entire speech is to shill his book…. How Christian of him…. I’m sure Jesus approves….
The only problem I see with thinking that we are not to follow the 4th commandment is that it would imply we could also murder, dishonor our parents, and worship idols while using God’s name in vain. Yes, Paul said not to let others shame us about the Sabbaths; however, the festivals were also called Sabbaths. Additionally, all the commandments have consequences when not followed, as they are meant for our protection. When we don’t rest, there are consequences to our health that can even lead to death. Take the eating of unclean animals, like the pig. People often twist it to say that God is allowing us to eat them, but when Jesus died on the cross, the anatomy of pigs didn’t change, and we now have plenty of evidence to understand why pigs are called unclean and the consequences of ingesting such creatures, which shouldn't even be called food because they’re not. At this point, I would argue that Christians’ complete disregard for the commandments of God is a way to indulge in the carnal pleasures of the flesh. To conclude, I do agree with meeting on Sunday and taking Saturday for complete rest. The way I look at it is: Saturday is for God, and Sunday is for the family (including the church). God knew we wouldn’t want to rest; people can say, "Oh, it can be any day of the week," yet even then, you see them working around the house or doing other things instead of genuinely resting and spending time with God. In His divine wisdom, He knows us so well that He knew He had to command that day because His people would find a way to cheat themselves out of even resting.
Oh man. Thanks a lot
The book called “Bible Hill as Golgotha” goes into detail about Dr. Bennett’s idea.
We are created in the image of The Father and His Only Begotten Son "Jesus Christ". Which means we are logical. IF someone told you they were 3 different people, what would you think of them?? Schizophrenic?? People stop listening to this wolf in sheep's clothing, study THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD for yourself as we are commanded to. In IT you will discover things like Mark 12:29 Jesus said: The most important commandment is, Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, The Lord is One. In John 20:17 Jesus said to her (Mary) do not cling to me for I have not yet ascended to my Father but go tell my brothers and say to them I am ascending to my Father and your Father to my God and your God. Show me anywhere in THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD, these statements; god the son or god the holy spirit. You can't they're not in The Word. John 17:3 says: This is eternal life that they may know YOU, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom YOU have sent! Run away from this devil on the stage he's a lair.
Well, based on the bible god is mostly a criminal. He did everything from mass murder to rape. ;-)
If GOD doesn't exist then neither does good and evil or right and wrong because it is all then reduced to personal or majority opinion and if we are all entitled to our own opinion then who decides which one is right?
Morals don't exist outside of humanity. That's why nothing else abides by these morals except humanity. Animals don't and neither does life.
Soo good and humbling ❤ And I would also add to that one question at the end about “undoing” what Christian’s believed for hundreds of years… Christians back in the past put to death scientists for saying the earth revolves around the sun and not the other way around, because they thought it conflicted with scripture, and today we have no problem with it. So as we learn our understanding changes and we grow. I also want to say that God is over science so God does not contradict science as He cannot contradict Himself! Whenever there’s a contradiction, I always take the POV that it is something we don’t understand yet. So thankful for the Word and for John Walton (and for Pastor Chip, we miss you!!). Mind 🤯 😂
God is amazing!!!
How did the devil ever think he could whip God?
There is no god idiot Frank Turek.
Why so condescending, not very logical now, are you?
Roman's 1:20
I think dr Turek just made a mistake. If God is the sustainer of all things and hell is the absence of God, then hell cannot be sustained.
people God is Perfect, His creation is Perfect, He's made us for His purpose and His Glory
Why did he make you, though? You are the worst PR imaginable. ;-)
