Thank you Chip for sharing this in depth teaching. Your comments on the Scribes and Pharisees not making the 6 mile journey to Bethlehem are amazing. Not to presume but it causes me to think if they (scribes & Pharisees ) were drawing the line on the magi and dismissing them and their insights on Jesus actually being born in the flesh despite the signs of the star or any other supernatural leading from God. This reinforces the blindness of Israel which was happening throughout Jesus’ ministry. This message of course applies to all of us as you shared and, once again, we need to let it read us!
