“Worst” is way too strong describing these cars. Yes, some had mechanical or ascetic problems, but being called worst brings to mind they were downright terrible, which they weren’t. For instance the Le Femme. It wasn’t a terrible car, just a stupid marketing failure.

A lot of these cars ended up as drag cars or stock cars in the late 50s thru mid/late 60s. Especially the Willys and Studebaker, along with the Henry J. Not the Edsel though. A friend of my dad had an Edsel when they were new. They might have looked even worse in person than the pictures. Dad raced Studebaker's for 2 or 3 years in the late 50s & early 60s. I think I remember that he said they had good motors with a lot of low end torque. Also raced Hudsons for a year or 2 and made a rail dragster using a Hudson Straight 8 engine. Dad had a 57 Skyliner, it was a damn nice car for the time. Got his with a Continental Kit for the spare tire.

It is too bad that Ford Motor Company discontinued the Ford Crown Victoria along with all the other Panther Platform cars. There will never be another full size, V8 engine in front, solid axle rear wheel drive car that is a body on a frame construction car like the Ford Crown Victoria and the other Ford Panther Platform cars. I believe the Ford Crown Victoria would have continued to sell if it had been updated with the new engines and transmissions used on the Ford F150 Pickup Truck.

This video is just a jumble of cars that virtually no one had ever seen before combined with criticism of mainstream automobiles, several of which are generally described as attractive. I had many of these cars and I can say they all performed well and ran like they were supposed to. They started ,stopped, accelerated and I really had few complaints. During the 50,s 60,s 70,s most cost 100.00 or a little more. Fun fact I passed on a running yugo for 25.00 plus auction fee and later found out a yugo club was paying 500 or 600.00.

The DeSoto Custom was as solid and reliable a car as could be had in the 1940's. Who in the world is putting these awful videos together? All of the Chrysler products from this time period were solidly engineered, quiet and durable. To fault them for an "underpowered" six cylinder engine is simly not the case. So many cars of this period had similar powertrains, and the advent of the V8 was still years away. True, when the horsepower race started in the middle fifties many of these were traded in , but in the day these cars were great for town or country driving. I have owned several old DeSotos, and I always sold them for lots more than I bought them for! And the Lincoln Zephyr? It is a certified milestone car!! What a ridiculous video!

Thank you for showing the FD work horses of the 1970s 😊 I own a 1971 SeaGrave With DD 8 V-71 5 speed spicer/Dana transmission. My new baby boy is a 1989 😊 Spartan Gladiator pumper. Silver 92 DD with turbo and 4 speed Allison automatic My wife is so happy with the Spartan 😊 she can drive it. With the tilt steering wheel, can just lay my elbow on engine cover, and it drives like a dream. Everything works on her 😊❤😊. Plus, she has shore power with gage and light on the officers side. It has the raised rear jump seat roof. Many other manufacturers used the design to enclose the jump seat compartment.
