Thank you so much for posting this! Back 20+ years ago when my husband and I were high school sweethearts, we used to go to the movies and we remember this cute, clueless little reel.
Vs Leading Value Brand 1000
Mi abuelo 😅
there is another scan of this trailer with the james horner music uploaded by sebastian segura but it's an early 90s mix in spectral recording format with a shirt orchestral warm up, no additional sound effects and there's no buzzing like the one heard here.
The darkness, the grain, the music! Terrifying to my 10 year old self!
the thx deep note was originally mixed to the four output channels (LCRS). The original spatial placement just placed each voice in a different speaker, so each speaker had 6 or 7 voices. At the beginning, only one speaker’s worth was sounding. This gives the atonal cluster this curious balance between being transparent and opaque. dts and dolby digital audio codec 3 have the surround channel play on both surround left and right sounding exactly the same. srd (spectral recording digital) sounded pretty much close to the muffled dolby a analog mix track at the time. this here sounds pretty muffled and loud due to the sound coming from an optical track instead of being decoded to sound clear and sdds has 8 channels for a 7.1 sound format so the 5.1 or dolby stereo analo mix of the deep note in the sdds variant would probably sound like a 7.1 blowup/upmix.
This logo is from the early 1980s (1980-1983).
Same guy that directed the Evil Dead films. Groovy!
I know I saw this in front of /at least/ one film back in the 2006-2008 timeframe, but I was not even a child at that point, so I forget which one it was. From informed opinions and archived tickets, I have narrowed it to a few candidates. Cars at the Northland 7 in 2006 (less than a year before it closed forever, probably the only time I was in there and I can't remember anything else about it, and I might have the memory confused with WALL-E below) Kung Fu Panda at the Galaxy 16 in 2008 (The Galaxy being essentially the good theatre in town at the time, and unfortunately it still is considered that) WALL-E at the Galaxy 16 in 2008 (I vaguely remember this showing before the film, and a bit of the film itself) Quantum of Solace at the Galaxy 16 also in 2008 (this to me seems like the most likely candidate for obvious reasons, but why would my parents, in their right mind, take their [then] 5-year-old son to a James Bond film?)
0:23 the logo is different than on home video releases
I wish i had experienced 35mm in a theater. I did as a little baby, But you don’t expect a baby to remember relics of the past, Do you?
ODEON S.A. 2003 please
I wanted to see this as a kid but my mom said it would be too scary. When I turned 18 I found a dvd copy and had her watch it with me. Funny thing she got scared and I didnt! LoL!!!

Classic, Legendary, Love it.
Directed by Ed Wood. Starring Ed Wood as Eva Braun and Hitler! Plan Nein! from Outer Space.
People go to the movie theater to escape TV and they get this hahahaha
what has 12 news got to do with Harkins Theaters? One of the most bizarre things I've seen.
0:18 why is there a man being drowned in popcorn? Looks like a trap from Saw

Back Row Bill sez hello.
I must admit, I’ve never seen this commercial. Actually quite well done.
A 1958 Chevy roofline on a 1960 mercury
Who else here in 2024? But who else thinks it sounds like a PS4 starting up?

This brings me back to my childhood. Dodge commercials of the 90s were the best. Every one of those vehicles are still good looking
This and the black stallion were my favorite movies as a kid
National Lampoon Movie Vacation. Where's Rudy?
RIP Richard Lewis and Don Rickles.
I was expecting to hear someone say “anyone got some WD40?”
clear proof that the "wtf am I watching" genre is timeless :)
If only they still made them…Less the miss matched paint on the front fender. On a car they used in a TV commercial!
I really love this logo because it's my favorite DTS logo and I think It's pretty cute.
Isn’t this Tony Jay doing the narration?
Becker!!
Screaming Mad George worked on the aliens in this commercial. He mentions it in his & Steve Wang's audio commentary track for the new 4K UHD/Blu-Ray of their film "The Guyver"
I remember i had a cd of toy story and this intro appeared i was kid in this moment

The audience is now deaf
Nice
Unrealistic film scratches. I was a projectionist at a movie theater for 10 years, and most scratches are vertical lines from the projectionist not threading the film correctly through the projector. Having all of those lines in random directions like in this video just isn't realistic.
Dance with Wolfe 1990
The Question is Take it Back Where?
I love her. Her voice is wonderful.
The movie theater experience of the 90's and early 2000's was so amazing. They don't make stuff like this anymore.

It looks like a concert if you ask me.
