@@philtucker1224just a doctor in central London (now deceased) who bought a new car every 1st August. They weren’t expensive cars back in the late 80s.
@@arslan2010ish Fair comment, (but as a late eighties regular car buyer myself) I know that when a nice new car was costing (say) five grand, then a performance version maybe costing ten grand still seemed a lot of money! Those were the days ha ha!

( from this morning’s Audi Quattro short) You’re really tugging at my heartstrings Marc when I was in my twenties back in the 70s/early 80s my three favourite performance saloons were the Mk1 bubble arch Escorts, E30 325i and of course the Audi Quattros. I was lucky enough to have the first two but the Quattro was well out on my reach! Bless you buddy 👍

I had a moonstone blue XR4x4 back in the day, not a Cossie but still a gorgeous looking car. Bought a brand new white one after that but it never looked as good as moonstone.

Looks great Mark. I do think you should paint the centre caps to match though. I would personally stick them back on the car and sell the Porsche wheels which you’d probably get more money for, but who am I 😂 Keep the content coming, love it 😊

Not original,then as only a Cosworth was moonstone
@@chiefrocka8604 Well it was quite new at the time ( ex Ford demonstrator) so maybe it was another Ford colour but it certainly looks like moonstone. (I expect you will be able to tell me)
What is the “Ford tax” you mentioned Marc?
I imagine he was referring to the fact that anything 80s Ford, especially the RS stuff now goes for silly money . Hence the ‘ Rs Tax ‘ , ironically sometimes the parts are literally just poverty spec parts with a different part code but it all adds to the perceived value. Cosworth parts in particular go for big money now , mainly due to the fact that there are far less on the road now and also there is a lot of nostalgia attached to them. Genuine panels can be 1000’s of pounds .

It’s definitely turquoise. However there’s Blue Turquoise and there’s green turquoise. To my eyes this isn’t Blue turquoise. Cool colour that matches the car and finish, but not a blue.
