I was really enjoying the video up until the weird and unprompted "Medic girlfriend" quips (if I'm misunderstanding something feel free to correct me, but it seems pretty obvious what you're getting at). You made that same joke in a tier list awhile ago too, right down to it being about Medic items, and I tried to ignore it then, but man, I dunno. Appreciate you and your content a lot, especially relative to a lot of TF2's playerbase currently, but you make it a little hard to finish videos after quips like that. It's distracting I guess. I'm still a fan, just feels difficult to be one sometimes :/

Dunno how, maybe he just apologized to steam support and they lifted it A perma ban for exploits is stupid, especially since they hadn't been punishing exploits for a majority of the game's lifespan. If you're gonna punish ppl for exploiting, make it a week or month long ban instead. Only do perma for serial offenders.

The big problem with the Vaccinator is that it's just not suited for the game it's actually in. Most of the classes are bound to one damage type excluding melee (Scout, Sniper, Spy and Medic are all stuck to bullet damage and Demo is stuck to explosive damage) or have common pick options that restrict them to one damage type (Soldier and Pyro with anything other than a shotgun and any Heavy not running the heater). Engineer technically has the sentry rockets (which he can lose if he's going gunslinger) but sentries don't exactly pop out of nowhere and if you're vaccinator pushing into a sentry you can just prep both a bullet and explosive resistance. And melee just isn't a counter because you are charging what is likely a pocketed power class with your melee out that isn't a 'counter' that's a fucking last ditch effort. This means that even with teamwork there are multiple likely scenarios where you don't have to adapt your damage resistances because your enemies only have one damage type (fighting a demo and a soldier, fighting a heavy+medic combo, etc.) I think the passive resistance on healing target is fine and would honestly argue that to be a 25% resistance to all damage types while healing so long as the uber is completely changed.

From what I understand, the core of the pushback against this cosmetic is: 1. It's inappropriate to TF2's artstyle 2. It's inappropriate fetish content I can understand the first argument. A lot of the cosmetics made for the game rarely even match the time period this game takes place in anymore (VR headsets, boomboxes, etc.). This is a problem that spans as far back as 2011, back when the game was still frequently being updated. Both Robin Walker's interview and FUNKe's video "Death of An Artstyle" talks about this more in depth. I can't understand the second one. No matter how much I try to stretch my imagination, seeing a cosmetic for the Pyro that turns him into a dog does not seem fetishy or sexual in the slightest to me (this is, to me, is like saying the Heavy bird Halloween costume is fetishy and sexual). If anything, this is extremely fitting for this character since Pyro has always been associated with cute things ever since the 'Meet the Pyro' animation. On top of this, furries have always been labeled as sexual deviants for decades now when in reality, those people are only a vocal minority. If you look up any video on non-furries infiltrating furry conventions (even ones made in bad faith) and watch them interview people, you quickly find out that these are just normal people who like dressing up as their original character. It's unfortunate that a loud minority of people in any group or fandom will inevitably represent the way the public perceives them and the furry fandom is no exception. I've met a couple furries IRL and they're some of the coolest people I know. Criticize the death of TF2's artstyle as much as you want, but don't turn this into an excuse to misrepresent a community that quite frankly doesn't deserve it.

I disagree with the dragon's fury take, the dragon's fury is a big weapon like the minigun and a lot of skins look best in big weapons, i would happily trade the ability to paint weapons like the winger (who the hell paints it instead of the stock pistol, hell a paintable PB Pocket pistol would be used more) , disciplinary action (paints dont look good on it and the market gardener would be more iconic), (Why the hell is the shahanshah paintable instead of the kukri thats stupid) or abominations like the paintable fish (Why is it the paintable scout melee, there are better options it is just stupid)

Since it’s they’re the best places with meeting others like them I doubt that some of these places having “ties” means they’re all within the emporium’s business. Also whoever told you about the devs being mostly emporium members, I personally double checked and saw that only 9 out of the current 52 devs were actually in the Emporium discord. That’s 17.308% and none of them are the lead devs. Open Fortress’ current dev team also only has 7 out of 49 in the Emporium which is 14.285%.
