There was a Tornado Watch in Gainesville, Florida, with Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain. Not a problem for the Malayan Flying Foxes at the Lubee Conservancy. They didn't even flinch, except for the one Little Golden Mantled Flying Fox "Thatch" who made a run for cover around the 01:10 point in the video.

Lubee Bat Conservancy currently has a breeding program with the Variable Bats. This video shows a male and female Variable Bat mating. Another male Variable Bat appears in the video too. Lubee will remove the male Variables in February 2025 and begin ultrasounds with the female Variables to determine pregnancies, with pups expected in Spring 2025.
