5 Tips for going to a Red Sox game at Fenway Park
มุมมอง 76K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Hi, I'm Jack your Native Bostonian Guide, in this episode 5 tips for seeing the Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Yup the North End ! Of course Charlestown is more north, Dorchester more south of South Boston, Brighton more west than the West End and where Roxbury and West Roxbury aren’t adjacent to each other ? 😳
Heres a tip. Dont go! The place sucks! Overated, cramped and filthy.
To clarify, the Silver Line from the Airport is free, but costs the normal fare ($2.40) if you pick it up anywhere else, including going back to the Airport. As the video says, the Silver Line takes you as far as South Station, where you can transfer to the Red Line of the subway system, and from there you can transfer to the Orange Line one short stop away or the Green Line two short stops away. So long as you don't exit any subway turnstiles or one-way gates, all subway transfers are free once you get inside the system, which can get you as far as Route 95 at the western and southern extremes.
Just got back from Boston I loved the pubic garden's
We wore our Diamondbacks jerseys during our first visit in 2002, and the Red Sox fans loved us for some reason. 😂 Flying my kids across country in a couple weeks for their first Fenway visit, but we’ll be rooting for the Sox this time. Fenway and Wrigley are my two favorite ballpark parks, hope they outlast me.
Great to hear!!!
I hate chocolate chips on those. They're like a scourge. It's supposed to be subtle - the filling. But the shell looks top shelf. I'm replying to spam with only literal criticism. Pls don't 'whut' me.
thanks for chipping in your 2 cents
Super nice guy! Thank you so much. I’m gonna visit Boston next month and you helped me a lot!
Like sports or events venues in the in 🌎 because the venues want to make money because it have to pay wage and rent and make profit I can we I started go Victorian Football League now knew as Australian Football League I could get a cheeseburger 🍔 and coke for $5-$10 Australian dollars now it hotdogs and 600 mil of coke will cost $15-$20 Australian dollars that’s t3-4 times more this be the same in us
Hey thanku for the video…needed this information badly ❤❤
So glad to hear that. How did your trip go?
I want to get to the hilton plaza on the back bay which way is best
Take the bus I mentioned
Thank you. Very clear and short 😊
Glad it was helpful!
The train is NOT a good option for a night game. Cuts it too close to the last subway train, and a lot of times you won't make it to South or North Station in time if you took the Commuter Rail (Purple) in.
Thank you. Enjoyed this. Saves me a trip to the States
Absolutely no one calls commuter rail the ‘purple line’
that's true, but it does make it easier to see on the maps, your from out of Town
You can park near the ball park for $50 at any Indian owned gas station, they will also make sure you don't get blocked in if you ask them. Eating before the game is a good idea, but if you eat the sausage, although delicious, you'll be in the bathroom for most of the game. Also, not a bad idea to bring a cushion for your ass. Make sure you get a good seat, you can end up behind a pole if you get a bad one, not fun.
We’re from Cincinnati. My wife travels to Boston several times a year for work. Went to my first game at Fenway a few years ago. We’re going back to catch a game next month. Can’t wait!!
Still holds up!!
I've worn my Chicago Cubs gear to Fenway and I have not had an issue, for the most part friendly Bostonians
There is no PURPLE line in the Boston subway system Mr Boston 😅😅😅
Sf Giants Baseball ⚾️
I wonder why his Boston accent isn't very strong? You must have been away from there for quite a while
I'm not a big baseball fan, but I do love to travel and explore new places. Thank you for taking me on an outing today! Been home sick for a year this month from extreme fatigue after having covid last February. Great to finally get out! Never ever hear much of anything about Boston. First video I've ever watched about Boston. Definitely enjoy the Boston accent. Would love to hear more of that! And see how much was the food inside?
We are so pumped to get to Fenway this year! If you’re staying near Revere Beach & If we use the T to get to Fenway, do we really need to ride the Blue Line and “get off at State Street, transfer to the Orange Line toward Forest Hills; then get off at Downtown Crossing, and follow signs for the Winter Street Concourse to Park St.” as the Red Sox’s site suggests, or can we just take the Blue to the Green? And can we reverse it to get to the hotel/car with just green-to-blue or do we have to do the Orange as well?
Junk park small little wooden chairs, just to watch a woke bunch of clowns
I wanna visit Boston, is Ubering a realistic way to go? Or is the train worth it? Anyone in the know please let me know!
Will be in Boston my first time this weekend can not wait! Does the train go from the seaport district to Fenway
Thanks for the tips. Long time Jay's fan and the wife and I are going to fenway in August. I can't wait for this, it's been a lifelong dream to catch a game at that grand stadium!
I wore a yankee jersey in fenway and got beer thrown at me😂
Fantastic from NYC!!!
Great video 👌🏽 Do you happen to know what sections and rows are under the overhang between 1st and 3rd base?
No, sorry
A NON-ITALIAN........trying to evaluate ....a southern italian pastry and bakery?????..........NO........
Fenway Park is a dream for me, so thanks for sharing this helpful video
Fyi to anyone that has not tried pastery in the north end. No preservitives in the pastery. Get there early. If you show up later in the day eat it. Places like parziales have been there since 1907.
Jackkkk take me with u please am in ARUBA love Boston 😊😊😊
My fav way is taking a water taxi. That way you don't have to go into the tunnel which smells of exhaust. I only fly with carry on luggage so it's never a problem. Boston is a beautiful city!
Thanks for the great tips! We are super excited to see a game at the end of the month! Tickets seemed to be much higher than what you paid.
Are silver line Available from Logan airport to downtown Boston for free?
Regina’s Pizza is simply divine. Go there. You’re welcome.
thanks for tips have a blessed sunday
Thank you! You too!
Don’t go!!!
I can’t stop thinking this guy looks like Adrian wojranowski
Same age.
Thanks for the video! Going for the first time in a few weeks.
I'm going to Boston next week to see a game. I'm in G10, so I'll do my neck stretches. I'm looking forward to getting a hat, a souvenir soda, a Fenway frank, and taking in the atmosphere while crossing off something from the ol' bucket list. Fucking jazzed. Thanks for the tips!
Hahahaha... you are definitely NOT a native Bostonian. There is a train and a T in Boston. The train will take you outside Boston the T takes you within Boston. And we do not call it Fenway Park; it's just Fenway. Also, you missed the most epitomized part of a Red Sox game: Sweet Caroline: th-cam.com/video/I1F0vPd3XZ0/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the video, Jack. I am working in Boston a couple day of the week and have been trying to figure out how to get to Fenway. Growing up in northern NH we hardly ever went to Boston so I hadn't figured out how to get to Fenway from South Station. I am working right on Summer street so thanks for telling me which train to take.
I love this video. I am working at 245 Summer Street a few days a week and I get out on my lunch and break and walk around the seaport and if I am really ambitious, I make it to Boston Common. I love the mix of architecture in the Sea Port district. I grew up in northern New Hampshire and only went to Boston to go to the Museum of Science and the aquarium. I love that I am now getting paid to spend time in the city.
Are there any nearby hotels we can stay at so we can just walk to the stadium?
The Residence Inn by Marriott (125 Brookline Avenue). It's quite pricey, but it's beautiful, and it's not even a 5-minute walk to Fenway . The rooms are great, like your own apartment. Also, there's a Marshalls right across the street, where there's LOTS of affordable Red Sox gear, and you can cut through the alley nearby where there's a Target. There's also a nice set of bars and food options
I pass
Fenway Park is a dump. They need to replace it like they did Yankee stadium
The new Yankee Stadium looks like its built by prison architects, especially the concourses, no charm.
@@JohnFGatelyMAAnd.It comes with criminals already in it!😊
I just bought 2 tickets for the standing room only monster seats. I paid right at 240 for both but being first time in Boston and first Sox game I think it’s worth it. (Also playing the A’s) Do you have any suggestion on just a couple days in Boston on the absolute have to see? Eating at Cheers is the on the list and sure Beacon Hill but anything else?
The observatory at the Pru looks like a must. Public Garden and North End to eat.
