    Vero Good Thanks. Why did you need the plastic bases when you have a concrete platform ? Is it to allow the water to drain ?

    When I have checked for this issue the black ringed washer seems to actually be running off lots of black liquid everywhere. I know this can't be right but is it normal and/or a symptom of anything worse or can I just replace? I assume turning it over and putting it back in won't cut i

    You have that wood on the ground so obviously its going to rot, should be concrete or bick at that level then plastic layer inbetween that and the lower wood.

  • @legobrickabrac
    @legobrickabrac หลายเดือนก่อน

    That was mostly dry rot IE wet rot that has dried meaning what ever was making that post wet isn't anymore. Your best option was to stop the source of the water and see if it stays dry before actually working on fixing the damaged wood.

    We had a new one delivered from B&Q online ... which was opened. We believe someone had taken a seal, the English instructions and, sent the item back. We ended up with it. Luckily (from this video) we don't need "that" missing washer. This has become a disease here in Oldham B&Q with people pinching seals.

    Read someone said to put a few bags of sand on the roof panels to keep them in the slots. I reckon those hinges need some security screws as someone can easily unscrew one side and get in.

    Not great, you need to prime it first before adding 3 x base coats. Leave for 24hrs then use a gloss lacquer spray and finally go over it with finishing compound.

    I just did this exact same thing minus the wood treatment, i didnt use it because i was certain my rot was caised by the sun in one spot and mostly wet rot in the other places. And because i did it in the beating heat of june july i thought its no longer wet anymore. I hope my decision was okay.😂 I tried to do them all budget so spent 150 on cladding and windows.

    the back wall on my shed is totally rotten, ie the whole wall is rotten . I am not sure where to start The only place to attach anything to is the corner vetical posts. only has concrete foundations on the corners :) the front part of the shed is not too bad, just needs a bit of bodging etc. I could buy a new one, but the shed is really big and it would be a shame to demolish it
