These new systems may be very pragmatic but they really loose that "old school" aesthetic factor that characterized russian army gear. 2000s Masking suits, 2010s Gorkas and ratnik vests and helmets will always be the peak. To me at least.

Ivan, you should do one for the military, since the Berill, Skat, and Berill doesn’t exist IRL, you should just get the stuff that looks the most similar to them

Regarding the expeditionary backpack, does it come in three sizes or in one size with an easily adjustable system? If the latter, in between what lengths does it adjust (say, 165-195cm)?

Where did you get the furniture you are using for the pmc loadout? Also I take it you had to modify the wooden stock to get it to fit as the folding tru union does not just bolt into the reciever.

Hi comrade, your videos are great. Could I ask you where are you buying all that stuff? I really want to collect some uniforms but all I can find is Bundeswehr, Royal Army, US Army, Polish Army and sometimes Austrian army stuff.

I would say the uniform is based on a voin, worn by sso and carrier heavily inspired by point blank design origin in that armour connects the same way and all protective add-ons are similar like 2 piece shoulder and groin protection. Camo looks like aor wich was designed for army trials actually, and is good for all terrain.

The intro fittingly sounded like funeral music.....

I spent thousands on a nearly complete set of Ratnik gear...now its obsolete. Lol im sure some older Ratnik stuff will still be used in secondary roles or reserve troops.

Corrections: 1) Type 3 BDU cut was produced since 1993. I found multiple sources stating that it appeared in 1990/91, but all BDUs and ( DBDUs) DCUs I saw produced in 1990, 1991 and 1992- were made in second cut. While starting with 1993 both BDU and DCU were produced in 3rd cut. 2) As was mentioned by one marine in the comments a lot of guys tried to obtain lighter ERDL.

This is just a straight copy of western equipment. Its sad than when the Union fell everything lost its real characteristics and it just all about copying western stuff.

That pattern is similar to an experimental one trialled by West Germany in 1976. It was the same Flektarn pattern that's been in use since the 90's, but was just in shades of light and medium greens.

Everyone switching to mutltcam the US is going to have the same issue that we did with m81 but this time we aren’t allowed to create new camo patterns because of new laws so we might see the US army having to go back to UCP not as camo but more as an identifier to lots of ISR platforms as the US uses a lot of ISR stuff in war and would be worried of fratricide then hiding troops. Idk why but it almost reminds of the Thanos meme. “ You could not live with your own failure. Where did it bring you ? . Back to me” but thanos is UCP camo 😭😂

So how much will Russian conscripts be charged for the new uniforms.

EMR-M camo looks good & distinctive as a national identity, than just copying Multicam which looks unoriginal, looks like copying standard US military camo😂

The shoulder pocket on the smock is to hold a pack of cigarettes. Back then cigarettes came in rations with packs small enough to fit in that pocket. If you choose not to smoke, or store your smokes elsewhere, the pocket can hold a small notebook. It is fairly standardized across the world in western Armies to carry a notepad and pen everywhere you go. I hope this helps!

The assault pack are nice yes that they can be attached but can they be dropped fast enough tho when you in the thick of it you don’t want an assault pack holding you you wanna be apple you drop it of and point and proceed to the point light as possible.

I love the new camouflage and the streamlined gear is excellent looking very glad that the multicam thing was just a short term/temporary solution

Although it's probably a wise decision for Russia to move out from another Multicam while getting rid of old EMR (which to just dark blop), I still believe they could use Мох camo which has better camouflaging properties.

I love the new Camo, glad they stuck with something similar to EMR, it definitely needed a slight color palette update though. I’ve used EMR here in Minnesota a lot and it’s excellent for the deep woods and hills of the north but down south where it’s all plains and farmland (looks almost exactly like Ukraine in a many ways) it’s just too dark, you stick out immediately next to wheat fields and open plains.

so the ratnik program is over? or this is an update to the same program?

The body armour components and the helmet design seem to be very well thoughtout 👌But will the guys fighting you know where be receiving that kit soon 🧐
