Thank you so much for your nice words! That means a lot to me! Yeah the state of some games back then was not that polished. Final Fantasy also had its fair share of non working mechanics. I dont know when I will play this game again but when I do, I will remember this hack.

@TobiContinued93 Also, the same authors of Frue Lufia worked on a separate Lufia II hack called Spekkio Lufia that actually adds additional content, including new items and optional bosses. Very good as well if you want something extra.

Well, you at least have to open the "standard" chests with the eggs in the first place to have them distributed again. So my guess would be they land in their original chests again, since those are the only once that are open. And I think you have to open at least some other chests with key items...

Thats true, give Robo magic and speed tabs and he quickly becomes your most valuable party member. Not only because of his heal beam, but also because of his strong attack moves...

Magic Tabs are also in finite supply each playthrough. So this one Magic Tab is worth getting.

@@TobiContinued93 I've actually always been surprised to see that Most people use Frog and ayla as their end game team when I always used robo instead of frog Because his Healing Beam is so nice Plus he gets that Ribbon in his end game story event that ups his speed by 3

You are welcome! Lufia 2 is still awesome, looking forward to someday playing the third entry for the gameboy advance. An "updated" version can really add a lot of value to your playthrough, but I would always recommend to play the original first.

@@TobiContinued93 oh I used to play it a lot, beat it already as a kid! Frue Lufia is legitimately just a bug fixing and uncensoring fix. I would actually recommend that over the original in a heartbeat, unless you like some of the glitches that do benefit the player. Lufia 3 for the Game Boy Color is very underrated. Again, there's a good patch you can get for the rom that cleans up the interface and changes the font, making everything a bit more readable and visually appealing. But it's not necessary. I think the Game Boy Advance version you are speaking of, Ruins of Lore, is technically the fourth entry.

Its a minor thing for sure, would have liked something more unique as a reward.

Did you just so happen to have the helmets to negate confusion and be at a high enough level to beat him? Kind of hard to believe, but if that happened, you must have played this game really really hard and checked out everything all the time before progressing.

@TobiContinued93 yes. I actually play RPGs like that. I will grind until I'm on a way higher level than I should be before I move on. I don't mind sitting around and grinding enemies for a month even when I don't have to. So yes I did do that. The only reason you think that it's hard to believe is because you can't imagine anyone grinding that long when they don't have to. But I do. When I play through YS, I usually grind for so long early game that I can breeze through everything up until the last half of darm tower when the difficulty ramps up. What can I say. I like easy boss fights.

Everyone can play the game as he wants. If you like to grind a lot before progressing, thats totally fine. I also remember maxing out everyones main weapon and all magic whenever possible in secret of mana when I first played the game. Also took quite a while. ;)

@TobiContinued93 secret of mana was a little different for me. I approached it as more of a beat em up. So I didn't even know about the weapon levels and charge bar until late in the game. I was focused on just controlling the characters better and mashing buttons. But I still hung around fighting enemies just for the fun of it and was on a really high level. But when I realized there were all these skills that I wasn't even using. That's when I saw that I could be completely unstoppable if I leveled up my weapons and magic. Am I the only one who sits at the inn using the girls magic until you're out of mp, sleep, rinse and repeat, until you're magic is maxed?

Oh trust me, you are not the only one who made the Inn owner a millionaire in this game. ;)

Yeah, I know that my pronounciation is sometimes ridiculous and I get mixxed up between german, english and nonsense pronounciation that makes no sense :D

Its been a while now for me, would need to go back and check that out but it might be possible. Which method is cheaper though?

Well, you could definitely also pronounce it like Hades with a G. I like to think that the name in the japanese original, Gadesu, is inspired by the bad guy going by the same name in Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos. The design is also a little similar. ;) Could be wrong though...

I'm sorry! I had/have a Lets Play of Soul Blazer on my channel, that was actually my first video I uploaded. But I deactivated all my lets plays to focus more on guides and walkthroughs. I am still thinking about doing a walkthrough for Soul Blazer though...

Yep I didnt include those, they are of course really good to have. Wanted to focus more on equipment and tabs, not on healing items.

I think that face is directly inspired from that clown and as i said, (especially that face he made at the begining in the sewers), that would also explain why we only see his head in the game. I wouldnt say that you should do this on your very first playthrough of the game, but I wanted to make a guide on how someone who already knows the game could do it before going into new game+. And I think that this boss was actually meant do be doable in a first playthrough, they put all the necessary stuff you need right in front of it...

@@TobiContinued93 That's essentially how I came up with the idea. From the moment I got Ayla I would immediately grind to unlock twin harm so that I didn't miss twin charming a single boss. I'm sure I must have also done some other things to prepare, and I think I was naturally inclined to farm the game as I went, so my levels were probably higher than average.

Sorry for the confusion. ;) Yeah I saw it while playing games via Nintendo Online and thought it might be a cool thing to add. Maybe I will change it for something better in the future... I play my games usually on original hardware (or consoles from analogue) and record it with a capture card.

The most important part is to deal with the ongoing confusion. But once you have that sorted out, being level 99 should definitely help a lot because of your high stamina/defense and magic defense.

Holy hell, I didn't know that! Really cool that they added it for us. Usually we get the "censored" version of the game, but in terms of superbosses, the japanese can consider themselves censored. ;)

@@TobiContinued93 I was fortunate enough to borrow the game along with the players guide for my first real playthrough. I'm the section about the Emerald and Ruby weapons, it says they were not in the Japanese release and were added to the American version. I also learned a few years back that when the Emerald weapon uses Aire tam storm (which is materia backwards) does 1000hp of damage for every materia you have equipped.

True. Would have been awesome if that triggers a special bad ending.
