Dusk til dawn my favourite tarantino movie
Quentin, at least when he said that... Doesn't sound like contradicting himself, but he does sound like he backtracks when stating things. Like how he says: He's more than just the financer of my movies... He was like a father figure (which is supposed to hold a weight in that sentence, stranger -no more a *Father Figure*) but then he says A f*cked up father figure and rambles about Most fathers being fucked up 🤔 😂... anyway, so to say the father figure, to hold weight to how he was more to him. The sentiment doesn't really land in that case. 🤷♀️

As a female, tell Harvey he's full of shit and doesn't know anything about women. I happen to love that scene. As well as Tarantino's films. Fuck cancel culture!
Tarantino has probably done every nasty thing Weinstein has done and then some. Hollywood hat people are sick
China is the problem. Once we distributed films overseas starting with Waterworld, the flood gates opened for censorship in America. This is probably something Quentin Tarantino doesn't even want to admit. Maybe Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone can fix this problem now that they're the ambassadors for Hollywood.
Chinese people edit blk people off the covers of movies and edit rainbow flag scenes out of shows. Who is pushing for all the woke stuff if the Chinese hate it more than we do? China is an issue but they didn't invent this climate
In truth, "they" are people like joe rogan and the myriad of terrible comedians on netflix saying everything they want and then saying you can't say that, even though they just did. People who say "they won't let you do that" are the only ones judging.
90% of the time people that say "you couldn't do that these days" if you asked them for a list of exact things you can't put in movies without being canceled most of them you could point to as existing in a recent movie, another large chunk would be things that have nothing to do with being politically correct and/or literally wouldn't offend the PC crowd, and the rest would be crap that you wouldn't find success with because it's pointless, uninteresting, low effort drivel nobody likes anymore. If you shifted Tarantino's whole career forward in time the majority of the "The World's too PC" "anti-woke" squad would call his movies woke and hate them. That's just fact.
And now everything sucks. Thanks for getting that ball rolling
Joe Rogans explanation makes it seem he kinda missed the point of the movie or at least he explanained it kinda weirdly. The scene is horrifically violent but all of the violence feels justified; so much so that you start going all "F* YEAH!". So at the same time it also makes you think. Very much a classic Tarantino moment. He is the master of making horrific violence justified on screen.
How is making violent degenerate stuff politically incorrect though?
The film that comes to my mind is Tropic Thunder. People say "you couldn't make this today". That was 2008. You couldn't make that movie *then* if you went by what was politically correct and what "they" will let you do. You have to make what you want to make, be bold, AND recognize that a lot of times "they" know what they're talking about. If you make a movie that promotes a bunch of things no one likes, no one will like the movie. If that's what you want to make, go for it, but know that when "they" say it's going to fail if you do this, they might be right. What do you want to do? Make a movie that's popular and everyone loves, or make a movie that's the way you want it?
They are weirdo creeps who like rainbows.
That scene belongs in Reservoir Dogs. Mr. Blond is a psychopath and that scene drives it home and really shows you what sort of cold blooded person he is. It's one thing having a character talk about how he just went in there and shot up the place like a madman. It's another thing showing people what a madman he really is.
I am they. If I don't dig you or your stuff you won't get my $click. Like you don't know that mister pop culture whore.

Jogan is so lame
This series is amazing. A gem, though odd as a way to describe a war movie, but truly so, in the way this outstanding, timeless production so brilliantly shows the full range of humanity. It shows us sacrifice, compassion, a sense of duty to those next to you, if not for the greater cause, it shows us fear and finding ones personal strengths in the most-trying of times, and how every one of us much reach deeply within ourselves and find, in order to contribute to any trying endeavor -- whether in war or not. It shows how war hands us some of the most blatant experiences of suffering and loss known to humans, but with humanity comes recovery, tenacity and perseverance -- for those who avert the ultimate sacrifice. There's no larger playing field of 'good vs. evil' as that of freedom vs. tyranny, and this series captures it so well, all while reminding us of what is good and important in life with thrown-in pleasantries and humor, even during war (for example, one of my favorite scenes: the little boy being handed a chocolate bar). The way this show grabs hold of you and has you feeling for these characters as if they are your own friends, shows its perfection in storytelling. And this brings us to the entire story, the larger picture, shown through the platform of this enormous historical world event, that is: Not only making a difference for ones own generations' way of life and but for the positive consequential effects for future generations. It is indeed a gem of a production and one can only hope, as timeless as this show is, our educators will have the decent character and integrity to make it shown in every high school history class -- to every generation. of every nation -- all so that future generations can learn what is important and good in life and having good character, so as to not repeat history, but even more so: to have it remind us that we ALL stand on the shoulders of good people who went before us.
Woke , liberal left-wing, phemonists quentin....the ones you support!!! Coz youre woke also
"We changed the 90s"❤❤❤
Look at what happened to Sound of Freedom... "They" tried very hard to squash this movie's success
I think as a person Q is fantastic. However his movies never resonated with me. It is not his fault. He is scratching an itch that i don't feel, though i realize that is what many enjoy. One interesting thing... many an actor switched to something strange to them completely out of left field, if just for a movie or two. I wonder if a director would have the balls to do that... *wink*
I love that wokism is being exposed for what it is, a total rebranding of Bolshevik Marxist Dictatorships , nothing is more dangerous than controlling language, redefining words and censoring dissent
Don’t lie, Tatantino. You’re a first-rate shabbos goy like virtually all other directors, producers and so-fourth. Don’t even pretend to be slightly based.
(((They)))
“You might be right but I don’t care.”
I love how Tarantino pushes back on the Faux News talking point coming out of Joe Rogan's mouth.
Reshaping history to make yourself look better is wild. I would take most 1980s films over Tarantino's.
His first three are his best. Then Kill Bill is fun. After those, his movies have been mostly bad for me. Except OUATIH...which was mostly entertaining. But I do think it is full of flaws. I hope his next will not be one of his bad ones.
Loving how QT so easily shuts down Joe's FOX News esque histeria "THEY won't let you do x"
It’s time for the renaissance of non-woke content
The thing is with Tarantino; he gets the girl demographic sold with his dialogue (i.e., Quentin's astute analysis of 'Like a Virgin' lyrics was all it took for me to invest myself, so it was a smart bit of dialogue to kick the movie off with. Then his soundtracks are always like a goodie bag you have to stick around for as much for it as the movie itself. Women love soundtracks and relatable dialogue. Quentin thinks a lot like a woman in a lot of ways.
Too bad Quentin is a libtard.
People are also way more soft now. They have nothing better to do.
Whining is really popular these days.
Ur literally whining
True Romance is my favorite movie of all time. A true masterpiece
Tarantino wishes he had “talked to him” to stop it. Lol. Say goodbye to your money and fame then.
Tarantino would get up to some WEIRDDDD shit on his own when no-one’s around…man’s a full-blown weirdo
Idk man. I want to hear him try to explain how you could do Blazing Saddles today...
He likes to suck up to the juice
i mean... not for nothing but the 80s had toxic avenger and robocop shooting people in the dick. 80s had a shit ton of violent films... i guess hes just referring to the fact that the film ratings came into effect in the 80s? idk am i buggin?
People getting shot in RoboCop is like nothing. It's not violent until RoboCop 2 which came out in 1990..
I really do hate the sentiment of "they won't let you do this anymore" as if there weren't huge protests of not letting a movie even being shown like Taxi Driver, Rocky horror picture show and more. We actually have shown MORE today than any other time.
😂 joe seems a bit intimidated by Quentin
wow GenZ really hating on QT 😂
Prem Chopra & Quentin Tarantino look quite similar 👌🏼🤘🏻💯🎞🎥🎬
Weinstein in those few seconds of silence was figuring out that anyone offended had already paid for their ticket or bought or hired the video, and any refunds will not come off the raw box office numbers anyway. In one swoop, he protected the likely profits it would derive, made Miramax look edgy af, AND stopped having to listen to Tarantino whine.
Who is the “they” that gave him the tour of the studio?
"...ARE they" Duh!
only gullible people would believe there is no "they" because their favorite hollywood person told them so. one thing i can agree with: stand your ground!
When did Harvey become a monster? Did Quentin just make him realise not to care what women think?
