Purple hair and a nose ring, what are you even doing, bro?
That goose didnt want the smoke
Nice buck!!
Just need a Minnkota Ultrex on the front 😉
I'm impressed. great job.
@@PapaDIY50 thanks
I have a powerful Vanguard V-Twin 16hp engine and I also really like the Predator brand
What type of pump being used
@@frankierogers9787 Kawasaki js 550, but I would recommend a Yamaha 500 intake
So what adapter from the pump to get a chain on it did you use on the 459 or any of them ? And couldn’t I order a used pump on eBay ? I have a small Jon I may try on. I’m also gonna try to get into tig welding. What welder are you using ?
@@coltensawyer6761 just need to drill and tap a sprocket on the pump drive shaft. Yes buy pump on eBay. Primweld 225x
@ how do you get the boat cut out ? Like do you measure the pump and then draw lines or trace the pump or what ?
@@coltensawyer6761yes cut out hole in boat for the pump and I used aluminum brackets to clamp it in with 3m 5200
@ i see!! But how do you get the hole where you want it in the boat ?and correct size and placement. Do you just eye ball it or trace the Ski part or measure ?
Link for the cvt?
@@MattThomas-c4m a.co/d/3dVO24v
Yes
this is awesome. I'm following this build!!! I want to do one, ill see what your trial and error inspires lol
You need to gear it up a lot more, the cvt starts out at 6:1 and ends at 1:1. With stock springs and weights, they reach 1:1 at ~3800rpm
Good to know thanks
Dont give up on it man. Thats pretty awesome and one of a kind.
thanks just posted new video
How many mm is the jet drive that your mounting the 212 to?
@@xXMOTOXPYROXx I believe 144mm it came off a 1989 Yamaha wave runner 500

Привет! Хочу построить такую же лодку,посоветуй с как лучше зделать с центробежным сцеплением или без него?
You can try a chain clutch
@@midwesthobbies Хочу попробовать зделать с ремнями и центробежным сцеплением как у вас
@@Barni-p8t use a Max-Torque Centrifugal Cog Belt Clutch
There are company’s that make inline clutch’s for mud motors. Would help keep better weight balance in the boat. Just an idea
So I guess nobody can leave their a15 at the bottom of Hardy to see if they get a call from Mr Krabs..lol..
You gotta a cool little piece of land with your own bridges and waterways. Looks like a cool place to live
thanks we love it
Keep me updated on Stella also please
Where can i find aftermarket sprockets for the jet drive? Im using one from a kawasaki 550 thanks in advance
You need to drill and tap one
By the way, that’s interesting to me. The little stream there that runs behind all those houses…… that creek that you’re walking through…… just how many of those houses have their septic leach field running into that creek…….? Yummy……😳
Expansion chamber on the exhaust pipe and at the bottom of the expansion chamber have a smaller pipe that runs off the bottom of the expansion to take care of any water buildup from back pressure. And get a snowmobile clutch. They work great. 🥳💪🏻💪🏼💪🏽💪🏾💪🏿👍🏻
I ending up building a water box
That was funny
why not just do a built 212 if speed is what you want but i honestly advise against it in that little boat its meant to run in calm water like in a pond or lake also that aluminum hull wont handle taking hits very well you can also play around with smaller props so your not straining the motor so hard constantly over loading a small engine will cause it fail prematurely and your failure point will be either compression loss causing hard starting smoking and plugs fouling or the motor heats up to the point of seizing heat induced seizes generally cant be undone an even in the rare times you get one unseized the cylinder is usually done and cant be repaired
Congratulations on your work! I have two questions: First, how many HP does the engine have? Second: relaCongratulations on your work! I have three questions: 1) how many HP does the engine have? 2) What is the ratio of the pinion greater than the crown on the turbine shaft? 3) What is the reason for the rebound before the water enters?
Thank you and a big hug from here in the Brazilian Amazon!
I believe 16 hp, gearing was 2:1 if I remember correctly. I sold it and built a 212cc mini jet boat
@@midwesthobbies thanks a lot
@@cadu6267 used a Kawasaki js 550 intake
@@midwesthobbies thanks, friend
Hi, you removed the governor? You said the gear ratio 22:14 and these engine is reaches what rpm? And size and pitch the impeller and nozzle diameter? Thanks.
3800RPM and the thrust nozzle is 65mm and the stock steering nozzle is 85mm, 20mm difference

@@herbyh369 bear always just out of the boat hahah
@@midwesthobbies I have 1448 Jon and really want low water capabilities, but don't know what to do. Mud motor is POS. Outboard jet is expensive. Jet is cool, but seems like a ton of DIY. I painted my jon with raptor bed liner looks good.

Hmm maybe my predator 420 doesn’t need to go in a mini bike after all. I see an annoyed wife in my future
What model and year ski did the pump come from? Freaking sweet dude
1989 Yamaha 500
I used 3/4" galvanized EMT (electrical metal tubing) to force the exhaust under water. WAY quiet. Took off muffler. Bracket that connects muffler to motor (manifold) can be unbolted, rotated 180° then bolted back on. This changes the exhaust angle from straight up to straight back. Used a pipe bender to make a slight "S" shape to the pipe, so it's down out of the way. It gets HOT! Cut a sawzall slit across the pipe about 1", so it could slip over the manifold. Used stainless hose clamp to hold it on the manifold. Also used 5 hose clamps to hold the pipe to the drive pipe (long tail). Exhaust comes out under water just in front of propeller. You'll have to fasten the EMT down solid, so it can't bounce off. And it's real hot, so maybe a vented sleeve, to keep the kids from getting burned. Love mine. Good luck.
i ended up building a water box
Why not chain drive off the clutch? Oring chain will mean minimal maintenance, you can carry spares as easy, and a very simple tensioner system would make tool-less swaps possible using belt or chain
I ended up using a CVT
@@midwesthobbies I was curious how well the belt would hold up
Congrats on the baby!!
Definitely not funny! 😂
I have a phantom with a 503 I’m considering buying a birth 3203 but is more heavy than the 503
Do you own a personal flotation device ?
Does this tune voids the factory warranty? My truck literally has 4000 miles and I'm already over the shifting issue and how poor it runs. Any check engine light issues? I'm from VA
Does not void warranty, also no check engine light
He still got some lovin later that night no worries
fantastic video of Saturday shows the entire event. I did see my Heritage
Nice ride! I was the guy leaning against the pole at the 56 second mark checking you out as you cruised on by.
Would you just let the dog ride in the boat already?😂
I'm thinking 125 yamaha 2 stroke
I subscribed. If you are reading this, you should too. It looks good. I was going to comment that a tach would be your best friend.... then I saw the wire at 6:30, 6000 rpm should be plenty 🤔. Boat moves along. A 420 would be interesting.
@@TSRGarage I think my next build will be a 420
I wonder if anyone has ever done a mechanical bilge pump on a river boat like this?
The exhaust on jet skis have water nozzles to lower temps in engine compartments. The water will also muffle the sound and affect power. A carb jet can be used in brass fitting.
i made a custom water box
would you not hook motor up directly to pump with gear reduction and clutch ??
