Battery Replacement Options Yamaha Wolverine RMAX X2 X4
The U1 size is great for finding batteries a dime a dozen that will fit because it is a basic lawn tractor sized battery. The struggle is finding one in this size that has the CCAs, AGM, Sealed, and isn't an over priced "Cadillac" brand battery. This Weize battery is an attractive option I found and will remember to update how it performs as time passes.

I was struggling to get the new belt on and then tried to think outside the box. Came up with this method of holding the tensioner back so I could use both hands for proper belt placement. Once I did this, I had the belt on in under a minute. This was on a 2.4 Ecotec Malibu but may work for other models with the same engine.

Thanks for the great video.
Excellent video and very thorough. Thanks for taking the time to make and post this.
Great thorough explanation. Thanks
Wow. Never thought I’d see the day Kia ranked higher than Honda in consumer reports 😂
What about how loud the Rmax is? I’m on the fence because of that. Any suggestions?
@@toddroy9558 most of these rigs are noisy unfortunately. The Rmax is on the louder end of the spectrum. The 2 isn't as bad as the 4 due to the roof size. Heavier primary weights help a little. We use a rugged radio setup now so it doesn't bother us at all. It really depends on what else you are considering. An Rmax 2 isn't much louder than a general 2 but am Rmax 4 is a decent bit louder than a general 4.
Thanks did mine tonight video was very helpful.

I’m getting an RMax in the next week or so. This is good to know! Thanks!

Is there any enforcement to riding on county roads? Im researching to make our first trip to ozark national forest, says theres only 4 legal trails to ride but seeing videos of people ride way more than that
@@bubbabelaire6422 get an Android device and download Maprika. Find the map 2024 Ozark National Forest. It shows everything. Legal and illegal routes, sights, gas, restaurants, etc. Most forest service and country roads are legal but some are not. The map shows it. If all you have are Apple products, you can download Avenza and get the official OHV trails maps but there are multiple different ones for the forest and they are garbage compared to the Maprika map. Riding out there is almost limitless.

#run premium fuel change the oil light for 3000
Shouldn't have to do that on a pseudo economy vehicle but it didn't make a lick of difference on ours. It's been so long I'd have to watch my video again, but I believe we had a quart of raw gas or more in the oil by 3000 miles.
Excellent explanation to how to do the job....Thank you from South Africa...
I took out the switch for the fuel tanks in my snapper pro 200xt. I put a barbed T in the switch's place. Now it draws fuel from both sides. I really like my snapper but i truly wanted that ferris
I was going to buy a Civic si until I recently found out about this major problem. Sounds like their high pressure fuel system is a total failure. Too much pressure blows fuel past cold rings and disaster. So what did you end up trading for?
Yes it was so bad I couldn't believe it. I know makers are getting better at high pressure DI but no clue on if Honda ever remedied this. We got an equinox with the 1.5 DI immediately after. Did an oil analysis after a full oil change interval and no oil/fuel dilution.
Amigo el embrague primario le servira a una cuatrimoto grizzly 350 el que se ve en tu video trae 4 tornillos y el de la mia trae solo 3 tornillos rn la tapa no encuentro el de ella pero son casi lo mismo
I used Tink seal on both clutches 2000 miles ago. When I took them apart the secondary looks great. The primary however, most of the grease came out and was all over the cage. I think I going to an ultramatic equivalent on the primary and tink seal on the secondary.
Interesting and thanks for commenting. I'll keep an eye on my Rmax as it has tinkseal. I wonder if your primary o-ring got leaky? Not sure how else that would happen.
The long term wear on the bearings is the issue, nobody knows how much wear this is causing. Nobody forced Honda to switch from the bulletproof K24 engines to this 1.5L Earth Dreams nightmare.
There's a reason why Honda removed the "earth dreams" badge off of this engine. The direct injection plus turbo builds up too much pressure and pushes gasoline past the rings. I think it's simply the design, that small of an engine cannot handle that much pressure. Stiffer or wider rings may be a fix?
Who else is here after too much dirt and water got in their clutch from excessive mudding 😂
Probably more than would like to admit!
Me at the least, I fully submerged mine 🤦🏼♂️
@@shootermcgavin1485 same, my back end was completely under water so I had to get off my quad in waist deep water and throttle it out. Thank god my exhaust tip is angled at 90 degrees otherwise I’d of been done for 😂
Which model is this ?
I believe it's the IS3000. I'm not at home to triple check but it's definitely in the 3000 model range.
My daughter needs to replace a vehicle, liked the CRV. Think we are going to pass. You did your best to work with Honda. Unacceptable! Sad what they did to a vehicle with a good reputation. Toyota 2.4's in mid-2000's had big oil consumption issues. They did a recall and replaced a lot of rings. Tough to swallow, but at least Toyota stood by it.
You look like Jurgen Klopp.
I’ve got a 2009 Grizzly 450 with around 4000 miles never touched the belt or clutches rode many trail miles hauled a lot of firewood never smoked the belt great cvt! Still running factory battery after 15 yrs ! Yamaha rocks ! Probably should check the belt at this time
Oh yea, excellent belt system. The best. What I describe in the video is recommended preventive maintenance. You can get by with a lot more mileage though, especially on the ATVs.
Excellent!! Very detailed - the best I've seen on this project.
Thank you!
how nice a cut does this mower do?
As good as any other mower. As with the others, you'll need to keep the blades sharp for the best cut quality.
When I do a brake video, I will post it here in the comments.
If you like noise, get the polaris
Great video! What’s the name of that other grease that works for both? Can’t get yamalube this weekend trying to find an alternative. I have brake caliper silicon lube, thought of trying that
Tinkseal works for both. I know bel-ray wheel grease would work in a pinch for a short time if it was changed back out quickly. Really not sure about anything else.
@@coachvonyo cool thanks for the quick reply. I’ll see what’s available
@@coachvonyomarine grease works very well for all services on this clutch due to its waterproof properties
@@mc-rob4762 I had a negative experience with a Grizzly 700 and a great waterproof grease (Belray) and never tried it again. I suspect it was a combination of extreme heat/cooling cycles with the motion and dust contamination over time from the cooling air pumped through but the grease broke down and the sliders were making an awful noise. I had to get back in there and service it within a year. I won't claim that one experience is the holy Bible though, I just never tried it again.
Sorry to hear of your Honda issue's I have a 2016, civic with a 1.5 turbo. Now have 230000k on it. Honda or Toyota, thats The reason i bought a Honda and am very Happy AT this point Hopefully that remains The Case. Cheers From Canada so we see some extreme winter weather here.

What about Mitsubishi 2024 crossovers?
Wish I could help you with that. I really don't know.
Thank you for responding back to me. What 2024 crossovers that should get that doesn't have alot of oil issues?
Full disclosure, I haven't researched this issue beyond Honda. But I am not aware of any other manufacturer having this issue. The next vehicle we owned after the CRV was an equinox. Very similar engine. 1.5 direct injection turbo. It had no oil/fuel dilution after a full oil change interval.
Should I buy a 2024 Honda CR-V EX-L with the oil issues?
I cannot say if they fixed this issue by now or not. I would have a tough time trusting them after my experience.
I agree with you a 100 percent. I currently have a 2019 Kawasaki Teryx 4 , my biggest issue with the teryx is you can not enclose it easily. I live in Canada's western Arctic and you can't scrape vinyl windows. I don't need 4 seats on a regular bases , but it is nicer to have if you do. I just contacted the closest dealer on the rmax 4 le. I would like the adjustable shocks. I am also getting the factory full cab and a heater. Things freeze pretty quickly in the box of the Teryx, and the heated cargo area will be a welcomed addition. I just rescued a senior dog that just turned 7 the first of December. And he loves going on adventures with us. We do a lot of fishing and camping and no way could I go and start leaving him home. And I retire soon and moving to the east coast with the narrow tight trails there. Thanks I enjoyed your video and I don't want a long wheel base 4 seater. My other option was the new Polaris ADV 2 door. But paying the premium price for a Polaris that has so so reliability in the Arctic did not excit me
Sounds like you made a great choice. Enjoy!
@@coachvonyo thanks I actually just got the quote back from the dealer a couple of hours ago
I remember watching you do that in your garage. ⚙️🛠️🪛
Yes we knocked this out on your Grizzly 700 years ago.
My solution is: using 5W30 A3/B3 oil and changing the oil myself every 5000kms (3k miles) or 5 months. The filter i change every 10000kms. It costs me 12 euro to change my oil , and 1 hour per 5 months. I don't consider this a big problem. Direct injection is the reason.
At a 3000 mile interval we would have been changing our oil every 2 months and it would be over a quart high at that interval with raw gas. Unacceptable. We have owned multiple direct injected vehicles and the oil dilution is near 0 after full oil change intervals. Very glad we are rid of it. Clearly a faulty design. Hopefully for new Honda owners they have fixed this, and their poor customer service.
I have been thinking of buying one however, the one concern that I have I have heard multiple people complain about scalping. Have you had any problem like this?
How does maintenance compare, like the ease of changing the fluid & sheave maintenance?
california have a clss action law suit. 1.5 earth dream turbo engines. They use low tension piston rings.
I mow 25 lawns and none of them are silky smooth. I'm mowing in a country town where I swear most of the lawns were fields that were just mowed until they had grass. In fact one of my lawns, my customer wanted me to add more lawn. That section was all goldenrod so the customer wanted me to brush hog it so I did. Then I started mowing with my Ferris 700. Talk about bumpy! After about 3 years or so it's beginning to look like a lawn. By that I mean it's green. That suspension is great! As I got used to the Ferris, I thought the suspension wasn't doing much. Until I got on my John Deere lawn tractor without a suspension one time. I suddenly appreciated that suspension on the Ferris all the more. I wouldn't be without it if I could help it.
I have this set up. I cannot get music to play out of my door speakers. The Bluetooth music only plays through my headsets. What am I doing wrong? Tia
You may only be able to connect to 1 Bluetooth device at a time. Either the intercom or vehicle stereo. I haven't tried to connect to both at the same time though so can't be sure.
All people need to file class action lawsuit with the government. What department in the government do you talk too.
I have the samthing in my crv this is ongoing engine failure in the future.
Honda has not fixed this problem. They need to address it and fix it. Don't buy a CRV with the 1.5 Turbo engine. Most people don't know about this.
I got two Ferris's a 800 set down and a X2 standup wwould not trade them for anything, I have other momer guy's that I hire when I am super backed up that have other brands, I always operate the stand up but they love my 800, they can't believe the suspension on it and how it mows
