ALSO you can Freeze Pot Malenia's waterfowl dance. Just throw it at her when she jumps high in the air to interrupt waterfowl dance. (also you can just learn dodging pattern with rolling back and forth but throwing a pot just feels better).

this game really does not reward you for timing things right. the timing is so messed up.

Once you realize Elden Ring is not a parry-game like Sekiro, you’ll be able to do the stance damage you were hoping to do. So many bosses are not parryable and with the delay into active frames, quick attacks that are technically parryable are not really reactionally parryable since your response time needs to be even quicker than in Sekiro. Like how you’re supposed to realize early in Sekiro that it is not a dodge/roll game, you’re supposed to realize that this is not a parry game.
