Happy Anniversary PlayStation! What's your favourite PS1 game?
hell If I know... I work with cDNA, RNA, DNA, dont know no UDNA.
Battlemage is probably disappointing. B580 is on the way and it is rumored to have something between RTX4060Ti and RX7600XT performance. It uses PCIE5.0 with 8 instead of 16 lanes, so for PCIE4.0 users it will probably loose some performance. They needed a 4nm process to get that performance, so they’ll probably have a hard time to maintain their low prices. B770 and up is delayed until end of 2025 and is likely going to be cancelled. I‘m more excited about RX8000 or used market for RX6000 and RX7000.
Do you think we'll get UDNA in the PlayStation 6?
LIAN LI GA II Trinity Performance 360 is a bad cooler i se all rma video
i went from 7800x3d to 9900x for MSFS at 4k and iam very very happy with the performance
Hey, that's great to know I think I'm going to be doing the same. I need that productivity performance! Thanks for watching.
i went from 7800x3d to the 9900x for MSFS and very very happy at 4K
Don't get the same motherboard I got the MSI Tomahawk X 870 with my 9800 X 380 did burnout I posted pictures on Reddit and on my channel and the little video I have no idea what happened I don't even know if they're burned I just know that the motherboard is not working
@@gaminginstilllife9429 That was you! I Saw that, hey thanks for watching man sorry to hear about your gear. Have you reached out to MSI?
@CGHW I just built this system last night I just made a quick video of it. And I don't know what happened I took special care I made sure that that thing was seated properly and then that bracket where are you close it is very very hard to get on even if it's seated correctly and then I wouldn't post unless I had one ram stick in it I finally got it to post like that but with two sticks it would not post so I did everything I could until I had to remove the cooler. And that's when I noticed a problem with all the section of the pins on the bottom I have better pictures of it and I try to do a quick little video explaining the what happened
I see, did you try all the ram slots it's possible one of your channels is damaged or there is a bad trace to the CPU, do you have another system to test the ram modules in? Definitely do an RMA with MSI, we can follow up with it if you keep me in the loop but the other thing is it shouldn't be that difficult to lock the CPU in position, another user damaged their socket by not installing the CPU properly, it doesn't look that that from your video, however maybe worth checking the plastic nubs where the CPU is seeded for any damage. Keep me posted man.
. The socket is perfect, the retention bracket was very hard to pull down. But this was first socket like this. I inspected before I stall and everything looked normal. I will keep everyone posted
OH GOD it just hit me what that means 😭. To answer the question though yeah, tinkering with the hardware is very interesting and fun, especially the relief when the stuff actually works.
Clean your hardware, thanks for watching.
🎉🎉
Interesting price indeed mate, but AMD is known to drop their prices tremendously within a short period of time post launch. I wonder how low it could get here in Australia. Planning for a 9800x3d / rtx 5080 build (whenever that is released)
Yes! I'm very excited to get some firm news about the new generation of GPUs and hear about all the dope builds people are going to be building over the next year or so. That sounds awesome, man. CES 2025 is going to be huge, I think. Thanks for watching!
im wating on the next CPU and GPU gen. I already have 7800 X3D and a 4090. Im waiting for the 6090
It looks very much like AAA games are being designed to be hard to run; publishers seem to trying to normalize either 1) using frame generation and upscaling or 2) buying top-tier parts to make their games playable. This is not a trend we should be welcoming.
Great point, it probably works in favour of the hardware manufacturers as well because they are alrady putting a ton of R&D into upscaling and frame Gen anyway, it's why Nvidia have been able to hold off on Blackwell for so long and put all the effort into AI ans data centres. Thanks for watching.
Dude I'll be upgrading from 4690k too
i run a 12700k im happy with that, i really can't even use its power. i understand for some folks its to slow, but for me its plenty good
The 12700K was such a good chocie man, that thing dances with the best of them! I was considering one at the time but couldn't afford to upgrade to the new socket so I stuck with Zen 3.
@CGHW yeah its good, i mean we dont need faster cpus, 12th gen to zen 3 are still valable options
Getting it on the 7th, on MSI Carbon x870e, 48gb KLEVV 8000MT/s, RTX 4080 Super , 4tbs Hynix Gen4 > I Am READY! Thanks for the video
Dude that is a lot of motherboad, deffinately jealous! Good luck with the build sounds awesome I'm going to have to settle for it's baby brother the X870 Tomahawk, great boards thanks for watching.
@@CGHW Really wanted the Godlike but , really $$$. I have always been an ASUS FB but the HERO this time is $700 and that's just to much when the Carbon looks really good and has almost everything the hero does. Plus I already own the Crosshair Hero VIII
You _think_ you're buying one on release day at MSRP, and I hope you can. But I suspect you'll be shopping ebay for a scalped one a couple of days later.
@@rangersmith4652 Nope, I will be sleeping in my Highlander outside of Microcenter with my wife and be one of the first in line. They will sell for $480. Mine
Just bought all my hardware, only waiting on the release. Coming from an i5 4690k this is gonna be amazing! You can't deny that the 4690k was almost as great as the Athlon XP in their days.
Aw man, congratulations be sure to let us know how the build goes. I did an HP Elite Desk repair video on the channel with an i5-4590 a few months back! Still great CPUs but the upgrade is sure to be EPIC!
If I can get my hands on it, it’ll be in my next build :) although tempted to wait until RTX 50 series gets announced
I've had enough with AMD/Intel duopoly since a long time ago. I'm currently rocking Intel gen 12, no issue, and I'm very happy. My kid's rocking AM5 and 7500F, no plan to update to 9000 series, maybe one of those fancy x3D chips when my kid graduated from online competitive games? For me, most likely the 14th gen. Aside from internet points, we don't need anymore computing power than what we currently have.
Great perspective man! I'm still running on AM4, my laptop is a 2014 Intel Lenovo Think Pad and my work PC is a Surface Pro so feel you! always good to remember we're here for fun, thanks for watching.
Who's getting the new 9800X3D?
Scalpers
@@MRwilliejoyner lmao sounds about right.
a hell of a lot of shilling going on which amd & intel platform owners who own both platforms and don't exhibit moron bias are laughing at also
Intel & AMD need more improvement. Intel Price is also too much for this spec 👎 Mac M4 is rocking the field with Les Cost. Can buy a Mac mini M4 at a VGA cost.
@@smileinurhand The M4 comes with thunderbolt 5 as well! Exciting, thanks for watching.
@CGHW Ya. Intel & AMD lose the battle now.
I'm running on a 10 year old Intel PC (i7-5930K) that has been on nearly 24/7 for this time. I don't even have m.2 drives yet. My concern is stability and not gaming (last games I played were the Division 2 and Borderlands 3). I'm finally going to upgrade and think I will get the Ultra 285K. I just want it to be stable that I can use for another 10 years. I'll wait a few months to see if there are any other surprises that come up. I like the connectivity of the new Z890 motherboards.
You'll be happy with the performance increase, and now is a great time to get all the new connectivity with the motherboards-it'll be an epic upgrade! I like your thinking: Hold up for some stability and performance improvements that are certainly coming. I'll keep you updated on the channel here. Thanks for watching, and be sure to let me know how your new build goes.
According to DF this paticular processor is slower than the other old gen Intel processors 🤔🤔
Where to start. ... I think Arrow Lake is very underpowered. Most tests are missing suitable CUDIMM RAM and few tweaks on BIOS to get some performance showing. BIOS/MB's total clusterfuck where nothing really works. OS Win11 doesn't have full support yet. 285K "SOLD OUT" that to me tells that all there is are on hands of the reviewers to give feedback. You see Asus boards very much underperforming as reviews are not done on their extreme profile. I wouldn't trust it anyway as it seems it is not giving any performance only frying the chip. MSI shows that on their board the productivity is a winner. We can push the scores on gaming to match the top on paper but Latency is a problem. My reasoning is because no Hyper-Threading Technology. Arrow Lake just doesn't work with AMD/Nvidia GPU's. But it is excellent on productivity. 245K/265K seems to fill their purpose well. Will 285K become good for AMD/Nvidia? I don't know, maybe not. My opinion is that INTEL is aiming for full INTEL system. Hyper-Threading Technology has given way to more powerful E Cores that to me looks like custom made for INTEL ARC architecture and pairing via PCIe 5.0 direct access to CPU (8 pin extra power). CUDIMM RAM also supports this theory levelling the CPU performance as we know that GPU is more powerful compared to CPU being the limiting factor. So if you can lift the CPU in INTEL's ARC architecture you can also push the ARC more. Arrow Lake I think the real launch will be in few months with Battlemage. You talked about price and socket only for this 15th gen CPU. I wouldn't be so sure. The new architecture is made from tiles. To upgrade you replace that individual tile. Also on the die there is a blanc tile leaving extra room to expand. Other point to consider is if the all INTEL system matches 5080 or even beats it. 5080 is predicted to be US$1200-1500. If Battlemage is predicted US$500 you actually will save money if you are getting a new system. X870 vs Z890 are about the same price. Even if CUDIMM RAM is double compared to UDIMM we are still saving.
It's sold out every where in the USA! No one cares about the reviews.
@@JayzBeerz I can't even see it on Amazon right now! It's available in my Aussie local hardware shops but that's because the Core Ultra 9 is $1099 AUD here. Thanks for watching.
So far the reviews have been a bit underwhelming to say the least. The productivity performance is certainly there, but the gaming performance just needs some optimization.. The Ultra 200s series needs some time to simmer, as it got server rather undercooked. I think I'd throw some blame at Microsoft as well. There's been a lot of videos and forum post for both Intel and AMD videos decrying windows updates 22H2 up to present 24H2. The performance has notably declined since 21H2 in all sorts of benchmarks and games tests. Hopefully Microshit wakes up and optimizes their piles of crap they've dump on users.. Linux is tempting but just won't work well with all the mods I run in the modded games I play as well the ones I host on my home server.
@@Demonoid1990 I just released a video echoing what you have said here! Great minds, thanks for watching!
Is anyone buying Arrow Lake? Thanks for watching.
When we get Battlemage and see the paired performance. Too much coin to be an early tester.
@@paulboyce8537 Very much looking forward some new info about Battlemage.
I'm pretty sure the "filler tile" is exactly that - a piece of plain, dark silicon that was inserted to fill a physical gap and make this assemblage look like a monolithic chip. I'd say that they haven't fooled anybody like that, but I actually think they have.
1st time listening, Good video post

anything but asrock is good
It’s really lovely but I don’t like the green at all?!
Don't underestimate this new generation in gaming, there won't be any parity. Having way less power draw, they will be highly overclockable, so people would be pushing them to the same power draws as 14th gen but with much bigger gains. I leave here my prediction that the 285k will be around 15% faster than 14900k in games when both CPUs are o/c for daily use.
That is a lovely review. Let me see a new CPU and MB. What about MB memory? Will the MB manufacturers play games with their BIOS for this CPU? If I need to buy a new MB, I might as well get a ZERO case and MB.
MY i9-13th Gen CPU is ticking right along...any degradation is minimal, if it exists at all. I'm interested in Intel's apparent shift from making super-speedy CPUs to making more efficient CPUs. Have we reached 'peak CPU'? Maybe...is there anybody out there who is seriously handicapped by the 13th-14th gen [assuming solid performance] being just not fast enough? I wonder... I will be sitting this generation out, unless my current system blows up or melts down, but I am definitely interested to see where Intel goes. Maybe because I haven't suffered CPU problems with my 13th Gen, I'm taking amore tolerant view...but barring _more_ mishaps and eff-ups, I'm willing to trust Intel to get back on track with future development and production.
Look the simple fact is the 14900K should have never existed. I feel the 285K shouldn’t be compared to it but to the 13900K. The 14900K was just pushed with power into oblivion and was just straight up uncoolable on an unlocked power setting. If the 14900K wouldn’t have existed then people would have been much happier with the new 285K. My14900K actually burned out in a few months of use and became unstable after like 2-3 months, if the 285K is almost the same performance but a much better architecture and power use thats a huge win. (Plus having M.2 NVME SSD gen 5 slot that doesn’t take away 8 lanes from the GPU and also having a better memory controller) I ordered the 285K and plan to get it either to the same speed or faster than the 14900K by means of a little bit of overclocking, unlocking the power setting and using 8000MT/s DDR5 to hopefully get it to quite a bit higher performance than intel is showing of with their low power plan set and 6400MT/s RAM.
nobody cares AI, nobody cares for Intel (as an Intel 12700K user)
Personally using 13700K and in short time, I will never buy Intel again. Fighting with my pc since the first day I bought it. I dont care how this shit ultraxyzidioticnaming will perform...
The most interesting offering is likely to be the upcoming Ultra3 205/215. Four super fast p-cores at 4.00ghz baseline and four very fast e-cores at 3.3 ghz, ...all 8 cores drawing only 65 watts. We have not seen higher clocked 65 watts cpu's from Intel in a very long time. I hope its priced for less than 140 dollars! It would be a true breakthrough in the entry level segment. I wish there would also be a Ultra3 215 "k" version, ...it would justify the "Ultra" namesake. Imagine slapping an inexpensive and fast running entry level Ultra3 K on a Z motherboard and overclocking it like mad without fear of burning a 600 dollar cpu. Then in a year or so of fun upgrading the rig to a Core Ultra 9.
@@sezwo5774 That does sound very cool! Especially in this generation where efficiency is the focus! The big question will be whether the Ultra 3 will comes with Arc Xe integrated graphics and NPU? Great one, thanks for watching!
