A very special Layout tour! Todd Treaster's Wonderful N Scale Layout and Collection
i've been out of the community for the past couple months and had no idea roy had passed, such an amazing man i wish i had the opportunity to meet him.
What a beautiful layout you have built. You are truly an artist!
Zeke has a wonderful operational and landscaped layout. It really puts you in the mountains at the height he selected. Each mountain hides the next cove and really makes you feel as if you were there. I am glad you N-Joyed and stay safe out there.
Totally gorgeous!
It is very inspiring and breathe taking to walk in and around this layout. Zeke has done an amazing job with each scene and every detail. Every time you take another look, you find something new it. Thanks for the compliment and I am glad you N-Joyed it. Stay safe out there.
Nice video and thanks for sharing. Dave
Thanks for the comment and compliment. Stay safe out there.
It’s beautiful up there!
I definitely is. I had some extra time on my hands and was happy to see these spots to railfan. Thanks for the comment and stay safe out there.
Hi How To Contact Tod Treaser😊
I would love to help you reach him. I will see if I can send his information to you privately, with his permission of course. Thanks for the question, and I hope to be in touch soon. Stay safe out there.
Wow, You have to look twice in order to believe this is N scale. Nice layout!
It is stunning at the amount of creativity and detail Zeke did with this layout. Every scene is vibrant with life and detail. Thanks for the comment and compliment. Stay safe out there.
please please please stop with that music. Nice video
Sorry you don't like the music, but if there was no music, there would be a lot of emptiness. I would like to have the music there to feel the voids. Easiest solution is turn it down, as I have already edited it to an acceptable volume for the video. Thanks for the feedback and sorry that it bothers you. Stay safe out there.
drop the music. turn it down at least. great video
Thanks for the feedback and stay safe out there.
drop the music
Thanks for the feedback, stay safe out there .
You need to say what scale the layouts in!
Thanks for the feedback, this was N scale, and it was actually mentioned in the video too. Stay safe out there.
Wow, awesome scene, great modeling. Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback and I really strive to make it the best that I can to my abilities. I appreciate the comment and compliment, stay safe out there.
Incredible. The dedication it took.
Todd is very dedicated to his collection. He has been collecting for a very long time too. Thanks for the comment and compliment. I am glad you N-joyed it and stay safe out there.
Zeke beautiful layout! It’s the era of my youth. I’m a big N&W fan. Is it operational?
Thanks for the question and yes, I believe you could have an ops session on his layout. It is laid out very nicely to handle ops traffic. Thanks for compliment and stay safe out there.
Much too fast. Is it a MR or a Slot Car?
I believe he had running fast to keep from having to clean it and worry about wheel slippage for the show. He was to walk around at the show as this layout ran smoothly all day. At one point he even said it was a racetrack, so he might just like having it as a fast freight. It is all about having fun. Thanks for the comment and stay safe out there.
Early N Scale generally had two speeds: stop and fast. If you were there, you know.
P.S. Is that other logging layout shown the Hickory Valley that was featured in Model Railroader back in the 90's? The right hand side sure looks familiar. Now I got to go find that old magazine in my stash.
Yes, the right half. The left half is the new "Ross Run" logging module. The only part of me visible is my right arm, but I'm running it.
@randgust I copied your sawmill from the photos back then. Then, a social earthquake, I mean marriage, had me put everything in boxes. I survived and am still married and happy, but that sawmill got crushed. Glad to see that your layout is still around. Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks for the question, and now I have to go look at that article too. I am glad you N-joyed it and stay safe out there.
I was hoping to get back around the next day and do an interview with you about the layout, my apologies on not getting back to you. You have a fantastic layout and I was happy to include it on my channel. If you are there next year with a layout, I will do my best to get you on an interview about it. Thanks for the answer to Eric's question. I will have to look that article up. Stay safe out there.
Great stuff!!!! After a heart attack 5 years ago, I dug out all my old trains. There is now an old school Ho layout in a garden shed, insulated with ac. It's based on models from the DC with a toggle switch panel. Full scenery. Love to take video clips of it. Also built a micro 22"×44" N scale twice around with scenery. Also old school. All rolling stock I have had since 1968 on. Revell 0-6-0 ran immediately after all these years.I bought it in 1969 with some Christmas money. Original postage stamp train is running though Loco needs some attention, mostly storage damage. Bachman GP40 is running and pride and joy Atlas 2-8-2 is running very well. Having fun after years of trying to be a serious modeler. Thanks for you video.
I am glad to hear you are back in the hobby. It is my pleasure to get these videos up for others to view. I would love to see your work and collection. You should add the clips to your You Tube page for others to N-joy. Thanks for the comments and compliment. Stay safe out there.
great vid on layout thanks lee
Thank you for the background on that wonderful layout. It was a pleasure hanging out with you at the show and then running trains on Todd's layout. Thanks for the comment and compliment.I am glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Nice meeting you at the show in Altoona. Thanks for doing a nice video of my Railroad, hopefully a year from now it'll be a lot further along.
It was great to meet you and see the layout. I appreciate the chance to bring your layout to my channel for others to see. I look forward to seeing your progress next year! I am glad you N-joyed the video of layout. Thanks for the comment and compliment. Stay safe out there.
think I need to plan a trip to Altoona.. email me a date for the next one please
That sounds like a plan there Sparky! I will be sure as soon as I hear to get the information to you. It will be great to see you there. There are some incredible sights to see. Along with the sights and sounds, there are some incredible layout tours and clubs to see in the area too. I am glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Zeke! Just watched both of these videos. You are my inspiration. I hope to see your layout in person soon!
I was happy to work with Zeke in this video presentation of his amazing layout. To be able to see this layout in person is breathe taking. It has so many great scenes and details. I am glad you N-joyed. Thanks for the comment, compliment, and stay safe out there.
What a beautiful layout.
Todd's layout is one of a kind. It runs smoothly and I always N-joy seeing it or operating on it. If you have the chance to catch an open house, this is must see. Todd and his wife Becky are great hosts. Thanks for the comment and compliment. Stay safe out there.
What's the make of that steamer Porter? Baldwin?
Engine #44, named "Judy K.", was built in 1923 by the Vulcan Iron Works at Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Cedar Point purchased the locomotive in 1968 as a 0-4-0T. Upon purchase they converted it to a 2-4-0 with a tender. That was a great question and made me do a bit of research. Thanks for the questions and I am glad you N-joyed. Stay safe out there.
I'm speechless double WOW
This an awesome layout from start to finish. Zeke has a great eye for detail. Thanks for the comment and compliment. I am glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
As a lifelong resident of West Virginia , I love it! Great job!
The layout is fantastic and absolutely nails the feel of West Virginia. As you navigate the aisles, you feel very small in the comparison of N Scale. Zeke did a great job in keeping you surrounded by the layout. Thanks for the comment and compliment. I am glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Love those old style auto racks. Beautiful layout. Excellent video and thanks for sharing. Dave
I wanted to capture the loaded auto racks for the video. It was a great pleasure to work with Zeke. His layout is a beautiful masterpiece. Thanks for the comment and compliment. I'm glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Looks great
Thanks for the comment and compliment. I am glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Fantastic layout. I really love the fact it's N&W with some southern mixed in. I'm planning on doing the same but with new at the time NS. I've lived around Roanoke all my life, I remember seeing the transition time.
That sounds awesome and I would love to see it as it progresses. Thanks for the comment and compliments. I am glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Hi Big G! Nice to meet and talk to you at the N-Scale Train Show in Altoona this weekend! Please add the locations of the three layouts (cities) in this video because I would especially love to go to the park shown. Yay Osmo! 🙂
The park shown is in Sandusky, OH. It is Cedar Point, one of my favorite them parks to visit. The other 2 layouts were private events held in Cleveland, OH. They are not open for public viewing, but by invitation only. Thanks for the question and it was a pleasure meeting you as well. I am glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
It seems all US and Canadian Model Railroader are Millionairs and have extra lange Houses of Halls.
It is a hobby that many have had since childhood here. Some of us have collections that took years to find, collect, and build. Some of us have small collections and spaces. The main thing to take from any video is inspiration and motivation. Many of us remember being at the beginning and wondering how to get to this level. The thing to remember is, it takes time and to collect 1 piece at a time. Collections like these take years to cultivate. Thanks for the comment and stay safe out there.
Beautiful layout! Long trains can stretch out and not dominate the scene. One thing I really liked was that the auto rack cars were open and you could see the cars just like I remember . I would love to run trains on your layout. Again just an Awesome layout
It was a really great layout and scenery. The trains were very impressive and I also N-joyed the autoracks with the loads of vehicles. Thanks for the comment and compliments, stay safe out there.
Great layout!! Love the music!!
Thanks for the comment and compliment. I wanted the music to match the feel and location of the layout. I'm glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Impressive
It is amazing to see in person if you ever get the chance. I'm glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
I could have sworn I've seen your "diagram" of your layout in a model railroader magazine, glad I wasn't going crazy. It looks incredible and it looks like a lot of fun to run.
I wanted to use the map with a trace of the path of each video of the two tours we did. You aren't going crazy at all. Thanks for the comment and compliment. I'm glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
I thoroughly N-joyed the tour! One of the very best layouts in any scale, & a huge source of inspiration for my own N-scale layout.
There is alot to take away in his entire layout. It is amazing the level of skill and detail he put in to it. I am glad you N-joyed it and thanks for the comment and compliments. Stay safe out there.
I’m not easily impressed, but WOW,
It is really hard not to be blown away by his work. This is truly a piece of art and great craftsmanship. Thanks for the comment and compliment. I'm glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Nice looking railroad.

🤣 I think your doppelganger was there that day. I'm glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
AWESOME!
Thanks for the comment and compliment. I'm glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Really like how Zeke combines Rail and road transportation systems into the layout. Also digging the early Camaro billboard! One of my other obsessions
I loved the billboard and thought others might too. Thanks for the comment and compliment. I'm glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
The level of detail is incredible on this layout.Huge staging yard.

Thanks for the comment and compliments. It was a very fun project to be a part of. I am glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
With out a doubt this is the best scenery in any layout you will ever see. it is simply the best I have seen.
I couldn't agree more. Zeke has set the bar very high, almost unattainable. It is fantastic and a must see in person. There is something new to discover around every twist and turn. Thanks for the comment and compliment. I am glad you N-joyed and stay safe out there.
Awesome waterfall!
Thanks for the comment and compliment. I am thrilled with the way it came out. I put a lot of work into the scene. I'm glad you N-joyed it and stay safe out there.
tired of all the ads, had to watch 2 of them to get to the start of this video. 5 seconds might be ok, but not 20. so unsubscribing.
I am sorry for the ads, but You Tube puts them there, not me. I am monetized, as a way to bring in revenue to bring more layout visits to the channel. The money I make goes to pay for some expenses towards the travel. I am sorry, but all videos have ads built in, whether a channel is monetized or not. I hope to see you back. Stay safe out there.
Zeke has created a masterpiece of an N scale layout. Wonderful detail and scenery. The cityscape took me by surprise!
He definitely has. This is just the first half of the layout too. The next video with a different city will be out soon. Stay tuned for it, as it will cover the entire rest of the layout. Thanks for the comment, glad you N-joyed, and stay safe out there.
