The Real Difference Between Handling Sales Objections and Losing Sales
In this video you'll learn the difference between handling an objection to working with you, and a barrier to working with you.
And why it can make all the difference to your sales.
Want to learn how to write website copy? Check out my Website Words Academy 👉 👉 👉 courses.23wisewords.com/cours... 👈 👈 👈
You'll rarely speak to a potential client who doesn't have any hesitations about working with you.
But, objections are a good thing!
Objections aren't a 'no' they're a 'yes...but'.
You should address them in your discovery calls, on your socials and in your blogs.
If a client feels like you 'get' their hesitations, they are more likely to feel comfortable with you.
Objections usually come about at the point of sale. So knowing how and when to handle them (and preempting what they might be) is critical.
Barriers are different.
Barriers to working with you are often too hard to overcome (not impossible, but hard).
Barriers could be location, availability and demographics.
You should filter out people for whom the barriers are too big to work with you, in your brand messaging and marketing.
Having a strong elevator pitch helps... you can say EXACTLY who you work with to filter out those you don't.
Try to filter out barriers BEFORE you get to the point of sale. This stops time-wasting on both sides.
It's important to note that time and money can fall into both camps.
Your job is to find out if your potential client has a time / money objection or barrier 🕵️‍♀️
Good copywriting is vital to filtering out the people with barriers, and helping to nurture the people with objections.

    Thanks for your video and ideas. I also watched your video from 2 years ago on this subject. I have a marketplace of two, but later three audiences: 1. Buyers 2. Referrers 3. Sellers (future) Curious if you have thoughts on this specific use case. It could be like Amazon but it's so big and has already educated most people on what they offer each audience. Thank you!

    • @23wisewords
      @23wisewords หลายเดือนก่อน

      Marketplaces are tricky because you need the right balance of buyers and sellers to make it worthwhile for both parties. So marketing has to be split fairly equally between the two (or three in your case!). It depends on where you are in your business journey, if it's a new marketplace you'd need to start with the sellers and offer lots of incentives for them to come onboard early. If you already have a good balance and a growing marketplace I would concentrate more on the buyers - because where there are buyers, sellers will come. It's hard to give you advice without some more specifics, get in touch if you want to talk some more.

      That's what I love about writing websites (and helping people to write theirs). It acts as a reference point for loads of other things you write for your business. Need a social media bio? Go to your About page 'hook'. Need inspiration for blog posts? Go to the objection-busting section on your Homepage. Need content for a proposal? Use the packages on your How I Work page. If he built an empty page onely showing the free challenge he will get the same results it not about the copywriter in this case it about the efforts he did to build his image.if you want to revise his copywriting go back 10 year’s ago and start analyzing ,and maybe you can change your title to Tony Robbins copywrting secret or something like that cause he didn’t tel us nothing.

    • @23wisewords
      @23wisewords ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. Tony uses his brand equity to make real equity! That's why he always leads his content with his name (almost like a headline), one of the things I point out in the video, Maybe one day we'll have a brand name so huge we can do the same! I used Tony Robbins as a case study because his stats are impressive, but also because there are some copywriting techniques we can learn from, and since he's a recognisable name, it's more interesting to dissect. Thanks for watching!
