This installation video will help with the install of Motozaaa crash bars on a 2019 Honda CB500X. The bars did require some modification for proper fit but wen on fairly easily to total time about four hours after finding all the little problems

It is the power cable to the Oxford heated grips I installed

Does your front tire rub on this skid plate at full compression of the shock? I saw a vid of a guy with a 22 cb500x that was having this issue... I wanted to buy one of these but am on the fence now
I personally have not had any rubbing issues yet but I am going to replacing the wheels and tires for some more off road oriented ones as well as looking into modding the front brakes to a dual rotor setup
You didn't load up the front forks prior to tighten the axle pinch bolts.
Haha! I'm like hour 5 in trying to align that axel and caliper

Do you need to remove the skid plate to do an oil change?
You do not need to remove the skid plate there is a access panel for the oil filter and a cut out to allow the oil to drain freely

I was able to install without taking any of the plastics off. Just use a flashlight and look for the connector.

If you have a USB charger plugged into this will it continue to draw power from the battery? Do you always need to take it out when the engine is not running to keep from draining the battery?

How's the skid plate holding up so far?
It is holding up wonderfully been doing some riding on the mountains and hit a few big rocks with no issues

Is it possible to use that skid plate w/ a center stand ? & Do you want to sell your old pull off parts ?
The skid plate will work with a center stand the company that makes the skid plate (T-Rex Racing) also makes a center stand As for selling old parts I don't have any I keep all the OEM parts that I remove to modify the bike in case I need to go back to original. The only other part I removed was the cheap ebay crash bars that were badly rusted internally and would not be safe to use.

0:43 to 0:57 If one had them, one could use two car bottle-type jacks to jack up the rear end of the bike carefully aiming them basically right under the axle bolt ends on each side. That's how I used to do it before i installed the honda center stand ( and boy..I am SOOOO damn happy I did that)
it would be possiable i have had to use a wood block under the oil pan to spread the weight and jack it up that way then use jack stands on either side of the swing arm to hold it in place.
The lock nut on the throttle should be up against the housing, not the adjuster barrel. Same as you did on the clutch.

I’ve installed the OEM outlet, without removing the fairing. It’s pretty finicky, but it worked perfectly for me.
Thanks to you, I saved myself from following this video. Took all of ten minutes to fit, as you say just fiddly to tighten up the retaining plastic nut but ten minutes max... 2020 version.
Was literally just in the process of adding a USB port and some Shad side panniers on same model Honda - so this video helps hugely. Cheers!
Hey just wanna ask, sometimes it happens on my cb500x when I shift on the second gear from the first gear, sometimes it shifts back on the Neutral, what do you think will be the problem?
that could be a normal condition from not applying enough pressure to the shift lever when shifting gears I have also gotten the false neutral between 3rd and 4th when only lightly tapping the shift lever.
