When a license is required and can be delayed, denied unlawfully, or ignored, it means that firearm ownership is no longer a right and has become a privilege. Massachusetts by no means protects the second amendment. We have thrown it entirely in the trash and came up with our own tyrannical system that only punishes law abiding citizens.

Put your pin number on the back of your license with a marker and cover it with a high tech scotch tape ‘window’ so it will not rub off. You will get a new pin number every 6 years.

I had to wait 5 months to turn in my application in Lynn, turned it in on April 16th and I still haven’t gotten my LTC but this online portal sounds like it will make it slightly better for future applicants . Licensing is unconstitutional but it is what it is thanks Dom.

The licencing scheme is unconstitutional BS, but this should make things easier, especially for people living in towns with cops that like to screw with people's 2A rights. Also makes it so that you dont have to deal directly with cops as much, which is never a bad thing. Overall good news

Why don't the gun owner s of Massachusetts sue the state over the FID cards it already has been found to be unconstitutional in Other states?

Dom, we need to gather all the people that have a story of how this law has harmed them. The instructors that have lost their business, the dealers that cannot sell their inventory, the young hunters that can't hunt, the FID holders that face jail time waiting for LTC classes so they can upgrade etc. I've heard of a hunter who filed to upgrade his FID to an LTC and was denied because a word was misspelled. I was talking to a 20 year old at the range yesterday who won't be able to duck hunt this year because he has a semi-auto shotgun. He can't even take that shotgun to the range to shoot skeet because he isn't old enough to get his LTC yet. Usually the range is packed this time of year with people sighting in rifles and slug guns. Our log book shows only a few regulars on weekends and barely a handful all week. It seems as people are afraid to take their guns out now. This law isn't preventing crime. It is creating criminals. We need to hear people's stories. We need to put those stories in front of voters now and keep it going until after the 2026 election.

I think on the lawsuit side anybody that owns a gun store should follow lawsuit. Also, Governor Healy all she did was piss off 90,000 people who signed that petition that will vote against her this election so let’s get her to hell out let’s vote her out let’s fire her. Let’s show her that we’re not putting up with her changing our second amendment rights that’s not what she was sworn into Office to do. She overstepped her boundary and she lied.

The reason these politicians do these things is because there is nothing holding them accountable. There needs to be a new amendment that states “any elected official that votes for or signs a law that is deemed unconstitutional shall forfeit their position and be barred from holding public office anywhere in the country”

I don't expect the courts to work fast however I'd say that with everything going on (State and Federal) we will likely never live under the full extent of the bill by the time it hits the ballots. Like I always said it sucks now but they won't be able to get away with this especially considering these national gun groups now have the governor's number.

I was helping collect signatures in Essex county. The cities closer to Boston had people barely giving it a 2nd thought or pretending to care or even saying they support it but did not want to sign. It was tough and sad to see people not willing to put up stand.
