When u put the top back on after adding the coolant, does that hose connect into that hole or does it stay free floating?

Excellent video. Adding Figures 18 & 19 was a huge contribution. I was changing the fluid on a 2013 Sentra and found the magnets loaded with metal shavings exactly like yours. I did not know this was normal for these CVT transmissions. Based on other automatic transmissions, I was assuming the worst. Now I know this is not the case with Nissan's CVT. For others who want the source of these figures, it can be found in Nissan Service Bulletin NTB20-035a. Like others, I was shocked that our local Nissan dealer does not change the 2 transmission filters when they change the fluid. They claim it is not necessary. I strongly disagree and believe they only do this to save time and raise profit margins. Our filters were very dirty and needed to be replaced. I did have trouble getting the O-Ring to seal on the round paper filter on the side of the transmission. It is located on the driver's side wheel well. Nissan’s 1 bolt system is poorly designed and prone to leak even with Nissan’s O-rings ($6.65 each) so you might want to skip that filter. I used Castrol CVT fluid rated NS-3.

Do I skip this part if I’m going to just fully replace the valve body

After looking at your video 100x I feel confident enough to replace my valve body, I have a 2018 Nissan Sentra, it has over 160,000 miles…. We never got the fluid change to the transmission (never knew I had to do that) but my question is after watching other videos should I be concerned about that, because I will have to add new oil in the car, hope my question made sense.

Resistor you measure resistance but with solenoid it’s called impedance.
