Audi say oil for life however that isn’t the case and you were correct to change the transmission fluid , however the main filter is incorporated into the pan so this should also be changed but at 15k miles I suppose it doesn’t matter , if you change this part and oil for OEM it would cost $500 . Sooo unfair of Audi I’ve had many of their lovely cars but once you’ve left the dealership they don’t seem to care about the after care

Great video and have just replaced my chain on my Mk7 Golf GTI using this as reference (EA888 Gen3), all the timing marks line up and it runs and drives perfectly but there is now a correlation fault - (14867 - Bank 1: CMP Sensor 3 (G300)/Engine Speed Sens (G28), P0017 - Incorrect Correlation). I have tried carrying out basic settings with VCDS but still bringing up the same fault, do you have any info as to what I could do with this please? Thanks a lot!

If I am to just be changing the bottom timing chain cover due to an oil leak, do I need to mess with the timing chain at all? Or can I just pop off the harmonic balancer and the cover and replace it?

can this be done if the transmission is high mileage? will it cause it to slip? ive read you should never change the fluid in a high mileage transmission

did you have issue in placing the crash sensor at the both edge of the crash bar ? mine was hiding in the PU Foam originally attached to the crash bar. Also do u face issue that the original top part of the horizontal support still visible after installing the grill ?

Why not extract the fluid out of the fill hole and avoid all the disassembly? Is there a reason that’s not advisable?
