@ thanks for the quick response, you answered it perfectly.
I would disagree on the throw out bearing touching the pressure plate fingers. That would mean it spins all the time causing premature wear on the bearing. The OE setup would have had play before the bearing touches but I'm old school and might not understand this newer stuff.
I'm fixen to swap a T-5 in my 64 Fairlane (currently a 4-speed). I'm not sure the Z bar set up will work and I may need to go cable or hydraulic.
@@f150bft i was at SEMA and spoke with Modern driveline in person just a couple weeks ago. They can likely help with those questions. Once its bleed the hydraulic system is trouble free. Its so easy to drive

I'm busy researching front strut replacement on a Honda HRV, and unfortunately it seems like you can't get good quality struts as a complete assembly. This video had everything I need, so thank you!
Glad i could help! Thats the goal at the end of the day with all my instructional videos
Can you please send me the link for the short throw shifter kit? I can't find it anywhere.
@@CharlesKlein-y5p this should get you close core-shifters.com/collections/shifters-for-silverado
Oh How about the link for kit? Thanks
There are so many different kits to be honest depending on your year, make model, what you want, etc. id recommend going to 1A auto and finding the one for your specific truck. If you are looking for a lift kit I can certainly get you a link/10% discount
@@truckandroll989gotcha thanks for reply. Also noticed difference for 6 lug vs my 5 lug. Think 4wd are 6 lugs and 2wd like my 98 is 5. Appreciate your contribution to the universe

Good video Thanks. Do you insert the Internal compressor hooks first and then feed the threaded bar inside and through both hooks individually? I need to purchase an Internal compressor to remove rear springs on my BMW E87....
It honestly depends on space, type of springs, how much access you have. I think i fed mine through in two pieces. Once you have your specific spring/car in front of you it will make more sense which way you have to install
Good video. It is very dangerous to use the 2 piece external spring compressor for this type of application. They are made for strut type springs like on Honda and Toyota.
I made a lever arm today like yours. Pedal feels so much better. Thanks so much brother. 👍

great video! 👍
I just changed the oil in my 2021 rebel hemi. The oil from the pan hit the sway bar for 20 seconds or so but was super easy to clean up. No biggie there. But wow that oil filter made a mess. Yikes. Definitely go into this with a plan or you will spend a lot of time on clean up.
That's a nice truck, looks good
What brand rear sway bar is that? And did it clear the panhard bar?
After watching the video, I bought the 3-inch lift for a 1991 Chev 1500. The truck has 245 tires now and I always run on the other trucks run 265's . Around the same time spring of 2025 the lift kit goes on a 385 stroker engine is replacing way to weak 350 engine. This truck is one of 3 I own and all 3 are used for my fishing & Hunting services so the 385 stroker is for a guide's work truck for more torque for pulling boats and forest logging road drives, NO race application.
@@Lure-Benson love it!
@@truckandroll989 If you get around to changing out the 350 in your truck do a 383 which is the 350-block bored 30 0ver and the 385 is a 40 over 350 block. Also used the 6-inch connecting rod for even more torque and better fuel mileage. The 383 I did for my 1988 truck is using 1/2 the fuel the 350 used because I am running the engine not as hard as the 350 had to work . Cost to do a 383-work truck engine is the same as rebuilding the 350. The parts to change out are the 383 crank - go to 6-inch rods instead of 5/7 inch rods - 400 SB flex plate and harmonic balancer for a 400 SM + pistons for a 6 inch rod for a 383 . The rest of the 350 you have is reused for the 383
Are you sure the Part# FR3V-10B944-AC is for Oil Pressure and Oil Temp? When I google FR3V-10B944-AC - I get the standard Mach1 with Vacum... It seems that Part # FR3Z-10849-E is for Oil Temp.
Great video. Question --- My 2023 Mustang Mach 1 has a plastic tray underneath the front covering pretty much the entire oil pan (just like in your video at the 5:55 time-mark)... So I cannot see where the strong jack point/points are. Do you have a trick as to how deep to push the floor jack to get it to the correct position?
It’s been a long time since I had the tray back on my car, but I would almost recommend taking the tray off one time marking where the Jack support is (lower k member) and then transferring that to the tray itself for future reference
@@truckandroll989 I used to be a Jeep Wrangler guy with a 3.5-inch lift and 38s tires. would roll on four Rhino Ramps and could almost sit under the Jeep. Now this thing (2023 Mustang Mach 1) is like 4 inches from the ground. without jacking this thing into the air, I cannot see what's going on underneath... I found a diagram on the internet showing that the jack point is almost in line with the center of the front wheel... does that sound right to you? Thanks again. Stay safe and have a great day! ---Peter
@@mallakiNY yes that sounds about right. To be safe you may want to drive it up on a few 2x4s so you can inspect better by eye. Its got a jack point but if you were to miss it you are going through that composite oil pan 😂
Put a whole steering and suspension kit in my 2000 Ford Focus and it drives so nice. It only has toe adjustment so I did my own alignment. I threw the wheel off, but tires aren't wearing funny. You can add zerk fittings. Grease the drill bit to keep metal out of the joints/fittings
I found your video a few weeks ago. My 92 has almost zero slop in my shifter. That being said I have ordered a Core-Shifter. I can’t wait for it to arrive. Thanks. Update: I have installed my new shifter and I am really pleased with how it works. I have to disagree with you on the shifter stick. My truck is 2WD and I purchased it with a 2” shorter stick. It works great and my truck is even more fun to drive than ever before. I highly recommend the upgrade.

Hey buddy i just watched this video. Have you had any problems with your ecu? Last year my ecu went bad, and it was out warranty. I barely drove it during the 2 years that i had it. Its not my daily driver. Any way its a 331 stroker on a 32,000 on the body foxbody mustang. There may be 2500 on the motor since the build. Well like August it lost spark almost a year to the day it lost it last year. Actually holley said 11months since they replaced the ecu. Since it was a 11 months, i have to pay for shipping. Ive seen so many TH-camrs that holley looks out for but the little guy like me is getting screwed, i spent almost 3000on everything when i went with they sniper system. Holley treats me like crap because im just a nobody to them. Last year, i didn't know whay happened so i found a holley certified mechanic to diagnose and fix, and tune it. Big mistake. $2400 that cost me, i looked at the bill and it cost me almost 300 when they changed the spark plugs. SMH Anyway im just frustrated. Sorry for the long rant
@@ronniehyser5.0 sorry to hear that. I didnt have any ecu issues but i did have to replace a coolant temp sensor and tps that failed.

Great video, Where did you get the torque value for all the hardware? Is there a website you can share or was it through Ford?

i have the Autometer Elite Gauges, got them used as a full set for my 4th gen, the high low warnings are nice, and the pro control is good for triggering safety relay circuits/warnings. i highly recommend getting a Dual channel air intake temp gauge if you boost the car so you can get IAT warnings if your car is getting too hot to prevent detonation at WOT.
Im a fan of Autometer products but I do think the prices have gotten a bit nuts. These too allow you to wire to a separate light (or ecu i guess) for more warning/safety. This car is being setup for drifting/track days so I dont expect any power adders are coming. I wouldn’t hate having a trans or diff temp though! Thanks for watching and commenting :)

Curious of your thoughts. I have a sniper on a 383 in a c10. The throttle response is way too much, and not drivable. Many times I need to burp throttle to get idle back down. There is no binding anywhere. I disabled secondaries and programed them out and it's a pleasure to drive. Looked like to progressive linkage was the way to, but holley says no. Do the cable extension.
@@markekberg8371 so ive done progressive and agree it smoothed it out but you certainly lose some throttle response - like driving on primary only. If you fix the geometry you get the best of both worlds. Smooth throttle but killer response. That was my thought at least.
Does anyone know if lines to tbe steering box need to be disconnect when moving it enough to get the pitman arm puller on? I also have a 4WD suburban and its very tight in there
@@diycast6914 i dont recall having to disconnect lines to the point where any seals were broken and fluid could leak out. I might have had to push them out of the way but thats about it

@@evanmakopoulos8527 this was a super fun truck. Great low end and midrange torque. The 4.10 gears and T56 really suited it well. Looking back I kind of wish I would have gone with a chambered muffler vs the magnaflows for a rowdier sound but it was a ton of fun
I have a 97 gmc Sierra k1500 ext cab. I want to use this same kit on mine, my question for you would be did you end up having to replace the stock UCAs? If not how are they working out? Trying to figure out if it’s necessary for me replace them when I do it. Plan on going 2” lift.
@@joecorpe8243 i did not replace them when I did the lift. However I tried to keep the lift height reasonable. I think if you max out the kit at 3” (or more) you put the ball joints at a weird angle. Mine has been fine though but i was only shooting for 2” from the start. I think you will be good with 2” and stock arms
Appreciate the info. 2” is all I’m looking for. Nothing excessive, the way yours turned out is exactly what I’m looking for. I’ve been watching a lot of videos for how to do this and yours is by far the most informative. Thanks for the reply.
