Oh and another thing is that your bag seems to be really stiff, but when I do it, with my rondelle beads, it is not as stiff as yours, even though I followed exactly the steps. (but my beads are oval and smaller so I used a 0.4 mm fishing line, instead the 0.6 that you use. could that be the reason why it is not as stiff?)

That said, I also work with many other types of beads, including glass beads. To work with glass or rondelle beads, you need a different type of line, as they require more precision and care. I know the techniques for working with glass beads and already have a video tutorial featuring a bag made from them! I also plan to create more tutorials using rondelle beads in the future 😊 For my current projects, like bags in different shapes and sizes, acrylic beads are the best fit. They keep the structure sturdy while maintaining a lightweight feel-something glass beads just don’t provide for these designs. Both types have their own beauty, so it all depends on the project!😊

I’m not certain since I order in bulk, but for reference, 500 grams of 8 mm beads usually have around 1800-1900 pieces. It all depends on the seller and where you order from.

Hello! I recommend using a line with a thickness of 0.4-0.5 mm for these 8 mm glass beads. And make sure to use a Fluorocarbon line. Fluorocarbon is more durable and less stretchy, ensuring your project maintains its shape and doesn’t sag over time. Using 0.37 mm nylon doubled isn’t ideal, as it can become too thick and difficult to work with. Hope it helps!

The number of beads you’ll need depends on the size of your bag, but I recommend starting with at least 1,500 beads of 8mm for a practical size. This should comfortably fit essentials like a cell phone, a couple make up pieces and keys.
