Totally agree with the spawning break Ged. I dont fish during that period either. Watched our friend The Dorset Carper at headlands farm. taking her indoors there for 72hrs at end of July. I hope to do better than he did. 🤣😉

Fished there in the 80s when I lived in cheshunt, caught a 3lb+ perch out of there, it's still my pb to date.

I recently changed from the tracker to the fox frontier but went for the XD with inner capsule and got the social extension mainly as i go fishing with son and his mates a lot and they generally gather in my swim and if its raining in my bivy. XD with the inner capsule is about the same size as the X not that I will use it till winter. The last few session with it I can keep my main area uncluttered have room to sit two or three people in the extension and if raining do all my BBQ and cooking without getting wet. Lakes i fish at have really large swims so not a problem. Things I like is unlike my previous bivvy (yes they adopted most of these into the RS) The ground sheet clips in Pockets inside the bivvy The amount of headroom I am 5' 11" and can almost stand up You can do up/undo the side and back windows from inside the bivy (yes even with the inner shell) the fold back ground sheet section - even with the extension I don't bother with the ground sheet so its a great idea Everything is included so with the extension you get full side and front mozzie, normal full enclosed door section etc the oversized bags are actually oversized packing it back down and putting it in bag is a doddle the storm poles are great Negatives the XD + Extension if you take everything its heavy All in all I rate it better than the Trakker I had and even though it weights more it to me at least seems to be mainly as its stronger and I generally trim it down by only taking the bits I actually need which saves a lot of weight

I also moved from a trakker to a Frontier and got the XD + Social cap as well I seem to end up being the cook and general dogs body when going fishing - yes its large and with everything heavy but with a nash indulgence all my gear for a few nights I can still fit 2 chairs just in side the bivy - with the extension on you can pretty much get everything for a week - cook inside and still have room for 4 people with no real issue mind you i fish a members lake which does tackle runs to your swim so don't need to lug it any further than to my van and then lob it in the back of the buggy at lake :D Not sure if tackle runs to swim is a good thing especially as they have full power to all swims I had to upgrade to a Ford transit as well ran out of room in smaller van the electric pizza oven might have been pushing it a bit but ho hum

Hi mate ,Traker let you down with your pole, bot Fox are just as bad. I have a frontier x and only used it 4 sessions, on pack down the center clamp brock. Fox are useless at customer service, the shop I bought it from ended up having to remove a one from there stock and send it to me to fit myself
