You will either end up dead, or killing someone else. Now I know you think you are an expert driver, but trust me, you're not and nor is the Audi driver. Bar that, the BMw 130i is a pretty good motor, something about it. I use to hate the 1-series though.

10 km/l not reseted since 3 months, a mix of b-roads, motorway and a bit o city. Can't complain about it considering there are 260 km/h runs and quick blasts on b-roads

@@saugmotor I sold because I had far too much money into it to justify how much I was driving it (over 20'000 km per year). So I'm driving my 300 euro E46 320i in the meantime. It's slow as balls but it's a lot of fun to go full throttle all the time to get somewhere. It's a luxury to have a car you genuinely do not give a shit about!
@@nvl2691 yeah, I see. I have done 14k km in the first 8 months of ownership, I think I will end up covering more than 20k km in the first year of ownership
@@saugmotor If you can afford it, that's great. I'm still studying at university so I have no fixed income... I have fortunately not lost money on the 130i, despite all the work I did to it. Now to see what I'll make of the E46. It'll probably get a 3.0 swap this summer It'll never be like the 130i, but it'll be a fun, cheap projet for sure. And I'll keep watching your videos jealously :)

Crazy how much more pull the N52 has at higher speeds compared with the M54 or even M52! Surprised me every time I switch from the 130i to my E46
@@nvl2691 never tried an M52 or M54, but for sure the N52B30 is a little gem considering the age of the project

@@saugmotor In my opinion the M50-M52 sound better than M54 and N52. They have this raw induction noise that the M54 doesn't have, and the N52 sounds amazing but it has this... modern tinge to the sound? It's less emotional. It's very subtle and hard to explain. It's definitely Valvetronic related (as it influences response and sound massively), although it does serve to increase efficiency more than performance. An M5X with bigger camshafts and headwork should feel like an N52.

Ahah I know, it is not the best place for the camera. I usually use a hat where I place the camera for the POV but unfortunately I forgot it home that day
I owned an E87 130i in Le Mans Blue with Performance Exhaust for some years and loved the car. Even though I had more special and quicker cars after the 130i and owning a Porsche now, I really miss the 130i. The engine was great with an unique sound, no one expected such engine in a small car like the 1 series. I wish I could buy my old one back, meanwhile I dont see them often anymore.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the 130i. I traveled from Italy all the way to Amsterdam to collect mine back in September 2023. Immediately started to build memories driving it back home through the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. What a little gem, a proper q-car with those lovely analogic feelings that nowadays seem lost in the great majority of cars. I am sure the 95% of people consider it an old and slow car, and it is, but it has other pros which in my opinion worth more

Hi there, I made and uploaded several videos wearing on a hat the cam. The thing I want to do is to buy a headrest mount and place the cam in the middle. Just to try to replicate the perfect effect that owners of cars with rollbar mounted cams have. Thank you for your advice!
