Dr. Saliha Afridi - Do THIS To Start To Heal & Grow
If you're keen on understanding what looking after your mental health really looks like like, this episode has some great takeaways and practical tips to help you navigate today's fast-paced world. One of my favourite episodes to date.
I'm joined by Dr. Saliha Afridi, a well-known clinical psychologist and mental health advocate with over 20 years of experience. In our chat, she breaks down common myths about mental health and talks about the link between happiness, contentment, and the influence of media.
Dr. Afridi shares valuable insights on finding balance in life, why therapy matters, and how to spot and break unhealthy patterns. We also dive into topics like narcissism, the effects of trauma, and the pressures of social media. You'll walk away with a better understanding of personal growth, the power of facing tough truths, and the importance of lifelong learning-all through the lens of Jungian psychology.

When people become public figures through social media they should think carefully about the downside when things go wrong. By the way you should have both given a public statement before the divorce became public . I think he should grow up and learn from this experience and be honest so that others can understand the consequences of being social media public figures.

The chances that they all say Focus is 0.000000000001% and to say they all say Focus at the same time is 33.3% as against 66.6% of not saying it at the same time. Focus is the lens to which you can gain clarity into how you become successful. Beyond Focus, there's resilience, constant education and self development, adjustment and adaptability vary from industry to industry. Nonetheless, 🎉🎉

This indeed was one of the most beautiful and interesting interviews! I am a huge fan of Dr. Saliha as she is truly a well of knowledge while remaining human but the difference here is that Tracy was very well prepared and the questions asked were deep and different from the usual ones! Bravo and thank you!.- ❤

This is all great (the community wellbeing vs western mindset of boundaries and self care), but how do you deal with parents who may have borderline personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder, who are highly manipulative, psychologically unsafe and demand codependent symbiosis? When you constantly feel the guilt and a need to rescue or be a parent to your parent.

Is this an interview, or does it more like a conversation between two friends, where one is simply agreeing with and validating the other's responses? 🤨🤔🤔

To be honest, I’ve felt from time to time that there is something disharmonious about Khalid and Salama. They themselves mentioned they had issues before and almost divorced twice. There are moments when I can sense Salama has checked out and Khalid is just more focused on the online aspect of their relationship. I was shocked to find out they’ve divorced but I am not surprised
