I have been visually impaired for over 17 years. I purchased my Ray-Ban meta glasses to assist me with everyday things. They are adorable compared to technology made for visually impaired individuals. They are not perfect but better than nothing. I have been impressed.

I’m surprised how much I like them beyond cool.

I got the Mini 3 and just now saw the Quickshots menu selection on the controller. I haven't flown Quickshots yet, but I will today!

Can it give you directions? Like which way it’s something like the ocean or a building?

I bought rayban stories, just before the meda glasses came out. I retied and brought the glasses with me to the Philippines. It didn't even last 3 months. First, the audio stopped working, shortly after the video and the still shot camera. I bought the transition lens glass. It's just glasses now. Never abused or dropped them. Not very solid state tech.

I will say, what the AI produced looks similar to if we took a BR Std 4 Tank engine with BR Mk. 1 coaches over Glenfinnan viaduct in Scotland. Just... very INACCURATELY.

The most painful thing about gopro, for me was, that i have to have to buy proprietary media mod or adapter in order to connect an external mic. And there is no other third party adapter or media pod. It is just "painful" and if comtinues to be so I will never buy another gopro

I’m new to GoPro and haven’t experienced the freeze up yet but thanks for telling what I have to do when I do. I’ve had it a week and am still waiting on my bike mount so all I’ve shot is my dog walking and everything has worked fine. Very informative video. Thanks.

Thanks for the review. Just got my prescription version of the Ray-Ban Metas about a week ago. Love, love love the audio for phone calls, Zoom and Teams calls, and music too. I haven't been this excited by new tech in a long time as well!

Great job. Just a fyi on the name of the drone. DJI has grouped their drones into categories. The Mavic series are the high end professional drones. The Air series are more or less the middle class series of drones and the Mini series are the more basic beginner drones. Think of it like how GM groups their cars. Mavic are like Cadillac. Air are like Buicks. And Mini are like Chevrolet. You got a new subscriber.

Marcus, I spent 40 years in HOLLYWOOD working with PANAVISION and ARRIFLEX cameras on so many movies and TV shows, from 35mmm film to hard-drives; but now retired and being 70, I just bought by very first action camera the GOPRO 11... I did my research and like you satidthey are the BEST and the WORSE... the worst being starting with NO MANUAL (had to buy Jordan Hetrick's book and that was not much help), everything today seems to require a phone app, and if you an I-phone 7 you can't download Quik! Secondly, you have to be so very careful that you don't break that fragile airtight battery door cover, which could've been much better engineered! As for the Micro SD cards, smaller and thinner than a thumbnail, I really need to use tweezers to help remove it. But even with the limited voice control, I wish GOPRO made the touchscreen more friendlier for someone like me who didn't grow up in a trending now i-phone world... as for the FREEZING-UP, I haven't even got to that point yet with my still trying to get-to-know my new camera. But the biggest help I've gotten is from TH-camrs like yourself... I started out with Super-8, moved on to 16mm, Mitchell cameras and then digital. So many shows use GOPRO's and drones now, getting incredible angles and great aerial photography thats totally changed HOLLYWOOD forever... but the artistry has suffered, as all a DP has to do is get the shots in focus, as it's someone in post that can correct color/resolution, can zoom etc. and all with clicking a mouse on a laptop even. Anyway, thank you Marcus for a good honest presentation... maybe GOPRO will listen and correct our criticisms to make life easier for everyone, but being the best and the most expensive, their focus is not on praticality so much as it is on imagery!

When the day arrives (at the optometry retail store for my p/u) photos and videos are going to be revolutionary in my day to day activities.... I'll be able to capture moments in amazing ways that I've never imagined before! Like the creator of this video, FB killed my enjoyment of social networking as everything required pay or my personal information that at the time I wasn't ready to surrender... Today, those things are much less of a concern!

Great review.... I have had the same issues with battery life in the cold. I thought that I had forgotten to charge them with how quickly they ran down. All in all, I am digging them and I know that they are just the starting point for something much bigger and they are already great the way they are!

I find these (especially with the "AI" features) are vastly overhyped- the cold DOES kill the battery fast amd thsts not good Also these seem to break easily and customer support is proving to me to be already awful But the audio and calling quality while quiet exceeds expectations. The photo/video is nice to have even if its not all there yet (bad in low light) the charging case set up is probably the nicest part about these but my concern is woth the lack of propwr support that they become crazy e waste over time

Yeah I like them because they work better than expected in most ways. Once the AI gets the update, it will be a lot better but for now getting the weather or random facts are cool. I wouldn’t give it five out of five until a few generations in where films in landscape mode, shoots video quality like iPhone 15 pro, it’s fully waterproof/solvent resistant , works with a smart home, virtually indestructible, fingerprint resistant, anti glare, unlimited video length, works with Find My or locatable and lockable to my identity if lost or stolen, electrochromic lenses that dial the perfect tint, modal AI is enabled, be able to disable the recording light (plenty of legal circumstances for covert recording for instance where it’s dangerous to have a light like if someone is being aggressive or acting crazy, witness to a crime, documenting domestic problems, interacting, with the police etc. ) I would give these a 2.5 stars out of a potential perfect product being 5 stars which will mostly happen in 3 - 4 generations of it but most people aren’t wearing them very often for some reason unlike AirPods and they didn’t sell very many so it’s just Bezos’s pet project at this point.

The only thing I’m going to say to all of this is really good review. Great video but you can’t just open the box and start recording you have to update the camera

I just got a hero 11. Keeping my fingers crossed. I just plug in the cable to my windows 10 laptop and it aoto detects the external drive and I can access the files easily.... what am I missing?

I owned the Action 4 and the GP12.. I returned the A4. When it comes to picture quality, color and stabilization. The GP12 is the king.
