Enjoy watching your content, please do more of the west coast 👍
Mother Nature will take care of those that mistreat God's animals!! Thanks for the info.
Great video which really whet my appetite for a similar tour.
Yeah these off grid places are really amazing and an awesome way to disconnect and unwind.
Looks like a whale thats been attacked and washed up shore
Yes, it was a whale but if you have seen the movie Tremors it has a real alien look like that.
That deflating device is awesome!
It really is great. I got it from 4x4direct - it’s called a badger tyre deflator.
Showering ! Buy yourself a 12 volt TMC caravan water pump on Takealot (R600 ) makes a big difference 🤣🤣🤣 Or put your water container on the car roof ( gravity feed ) with a length of hose and a Gardena sprinkler.
That’s a great idea. We had something like that but couldn’t find it when we left so I had to improvise. But next time I’ll definitely upgrade to something fancier. Thanks for the Takealot info. I’ll get one.
Great job on this video! It's super engaging, and the editing and production quality are top-notch. Really enjoyed watching. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks so much for your feedback. It’s really appreciated. I have a son who is super amazing at video editing so am really blessed to have his skills.
@@africaunexpected Well, with a talented editor like that, no wonder your videos are so polished! Sounds like the apple didn’t fall far from the tree! 😊
What an epic adventure! Definitely adding it to the list! 😍
You would love it. Go to do a family adventure here.
Amazing! Definitely need to explore it 😍
A big group of us would be really fun.
Awesome
Glad you enjoyed it. 🙏🏻
Awesome stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it. 🙏🏻
Wow, and where in the world is this Village please?
This is at Babylonstoren near Franschhoek, in the Western Cape.
Lost me with your shitty command of the English language... "iconic"... Over used and horribly misused by idiots looking for likes.
Shoo Craig hectic flooding. You told us about it but WOW. So glad you were all safe
It was a crazy experience but besides losing things we were all safe.
Love the bird eating off yoru crumpet.
LOLs. Very friendly birds.
Love your channel ❤️ 💕 so nice to travel with you x
Great having you along for the journey Janine. I hope Barry watches too.
Took my kids to Cosy beach last year, they loved it even though the water is freezing!
The joy of Cape seas. But it wakes one up and worth it for the views.
Colchester to Woody Cape beach measures approximately 60 kilometers in length. I fly over this stretch regularly and it is completely unspoilt. The sand dunes at Woody Cape are almost 320ft in height above sea level. Woody Cape forms part of the greater Addo Park. Camping at Woody Cape is possible in a chalet. Thank you for your enthusiasm to explore places properly!
This sounds like a great place to check out. Will add it to the list.
Just take a regular bougieboard down those sand dunes, you will be flying!
Great idea. I will try that. Thanks.
When the sea is rough and it is high tide, the sea washes into this "lake"
This looks very, very similar to the Viking tour bus in Dublin 🤔
Wow amazing ❤
Wow awesome, so good to have this in Cape Town... Never new about it
Yeah, it’s great for Cape Town
How amazing! Will definitely try it the next time we’re at the waterfront 😮🛥️
Definitely worth it.
That super yacht looks amazing, just docking there at the V&A.
Yeah the yachts are crazy huge. They pay hundreds of thousands hating berthing fees.
What an awesome video thank you! Congratulations to you and Luke! Last year I swore I was not going to run CT marathon again, and then I was back again this year to finish my 6th! Was lekker to relive the race again with you guys now!
Well done. I know the feeling. And once you are at 6 you think “I might as well do 7..and 8, and I’m so close to 10…”
Beautiful But that looks more like a secret pond
Very true😂 It was a lot larger the first time we went, but when we came back to film the water had dried up quite a lot. But as a bonus it is nice and warm to swim in🙂
Great video! I was in the 6:28 bus and it’s funny to see all the energetic people on the side of the road, when we passed them they were much less energetic 🤣🤣 more like get done now man loll.
I think k the supporters do get tired too…but nothing like us runners. Well done on finishing. Being on the road for over 6 hours is a big achievwment. 🎉
My German cousin and his wife walked the 16 mile beach. We collected them in the National Park at the end of their walk. That was January this year. My nephew has the Wright's craft gin distillery at the Padstal. Worth a visit.
That’s a great achievement. We will check out your nephew’s place when we next there.
How did the permit work to go out of the park? Or did yiu just pick them up and drive out? When I called the park they said it was illegal to walk all the way from Yzerfontein to the park. 🤔 We ended up not walking the beach 😢
@duvancilliers266 Yea that is a bit tricky. My wife drove in and picked us up and we all have Wild Cards which gives us free access.
Yes all just click bait . Give gps as could be fake
Location was given at the end of the video 🙂
well put together video
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Such a great video! I trained for 6 months leading up to this race, in my final taper week I got the flu (Wednesday prior to race) killed my spirit not being able to race, but I got better to cheer on those who did race the Sunday. Im back up and running, in good spirits for the Winelands race in November 😎
Eish, sorry to hear this. Getting sick before a race is always a great stress. I’ve been blessed to have managed to do 11 Comrades and 10 Two Oceans and not get sick. In the weeks prior I am extra vigilant but still we can get sick. You made the right call by not running. Never run with flu. The Winelands marathon is a little more hilly but it is really beautiful. I love it as a marathon - one of my favorites.
@@africaunexpected Amazing accomplishments for sure!! Will come back to this comment section in a few years to update my resume lol, tha ks for that and yeah, I am looking forward to the hills our there!
Such a great video! Thank you for taking us on the journey. Lovely to see the route, the people, and why people run! Awesome stuff.
Glad you came along for the “run”. It was fun sharing it with you.
You started and finished in high spirits ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽🎉🎉🎉🎉. I’m running my first next year. Been training all year and building endurance
It takes a bit to keep the spirits up over such a long run, but was a great event. A long and steady training is really good. Keep it up.
Well done Luke, that was brilliant how you stayed on and on.
Great video! It is always nice to see a race from an individual perspective. Do you mind if we upload it to our channel? Full credit will be given, of course.
Yeah it’s no worries.. you can upload it to your channel
I only managed about 1.5 hours of sleep the night before.
Yeah, that is always the issue. Trying to get sleep when you have to wake up early.
@@africaunexpected I avoided the typical "try sleep early" and went to bed at 11pm. Alarm at 2h30. Just tossed and turned. Doesn't help I was on a blow-up mattress. Lol
definitely running next year!!
It definitely has a huge atmosphere. There are prettier marathons, but this is a winner for atmosphere.
awesome video man
Glad you liked it
Tyred tyred poor David 😂😂
LOLs - He was tyred :-)
This was my first marathon as well, Luke did well 😂🎉
Well done. It's a great marathon to do as a first one. I hope to do it again next year with my son for his first marathon.
Thank you for sharing this adventure, well done Luke, well done everyone!
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it. Next year, you and the family can join us :-)
Wonder why the incorrect flag was on display you can't change history!
How interesting!
subscribed. your energy is electric!
Thanks. Much appreciated 🙏🏻

Secret for who?
Great account of that acorn. This I will pass on to my boys, it has a meaning for our family.
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.
Less of a lake and more of a pond
