Herve Villechaize Profile GMA c.1978
มุมมอง 14K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In 1978 I shot & directed a profile on Herve Villechaize (Tattoo on Fantasy Island), for Good Morning America. We didn't want to do the typical "sit-down" interview but since he was so small and the correspondent, Jean Wolf, was so much taller, a standing or walking interview would have been awkward. We needed a way to get the two of them at the same level, face to face. Herve was a painter and...

When the motion sensor went off and we saw what it was, we also got a bit of footage from our front window with the iPhone.

KERN Radio, Summer of 1964. I was the weekend morning engineer announcer. At the end of that summer entered Film School at San Franscisco State University, which set me up for a wonderful career in the Film and Television industry.

My husband and I live in Kernville. We have had to move to Texas for a year and miss the beauty and charm of our home. Your poem is so beautiful. We watch it every few weeks to just get home again in our minds and hearts. We always smile, sometime we cry. Thank you for this lovely film.

This was the original Dam Korner, built in the early '50's. There was an identical building in New Kernville, built at the same time, but it was called Kern Korner. I worked there in 1957. The original Dam Korner building was completely remodeled and much enlarged by the time I worked there in 1958. That configuration remained until the Spradlins remodeled it recently. The Dam Korner #2 was in Wofford Heights, it's now the Chevron Station. I helped build that one. There was also a Dam Korner #3, in Kernville, on the east side of the bridge. It's now a motorcycle repair shop.

This is to send cudos to you Chuck Barbee, Not many things could make this crusty old man sit and watch a memorial to anyone, But I found myself watching this tribute to Winnie. and couldn't pull myself away. Still crying while I write this , I was fortunate enough to grow up with Kathlene & Dale and went to the hand ranch and the old homestead many times. Just brings so many GREAT memories of those days THANK YOU SO MUCH CHUCK Mike Yaeck
