I only bought the pass for venom very disappointing.

I would say my top 3, in no particular order, are The Circle, The Town Inside Me and Extras. All of these songs brought tears to my eyes and The Circle specifically made me outright cry. Some others I really enjoy are Radiant Dawn (they made a metal Disney princess song and that is amazing), Crawl (seriously, this song looped is my go-to for locking in and getting work done) and Love the Subhuman Self (I partially based one of my tabletop RPG characters on this song. Not on Millia, but on this song specifically)

Venom's theme song better be even more of a banger after making us wait for this long

I think what this really means is that Arcsys is really working on something else (like another licensed fighter) if they really lack the time and manpower to make a single character on this schedule. Which is okay!

I'm more curious on what Arcsys's next big game is gonna be. We know they shifted a large portion of the Strive team over to another project, but will it be another FighterZ game? Another Guilty Gear?

as someone whos been waiting for venom literally since day 1 it def sucks but, Im very glad that they are taking their time especially with online and lobbys. I would much rather them have more time to release a better product than venom be underwhelming on launch and still have the online be bad, so honestly this is a win. Man do I wanna finally play venom tho lol

13:35 I disagree with you, not to say I'm upset venom is being delayed because I don't care about venom at all, but I think people totally have the right to get upset at Arcsys for delaying the character. Its not like venom is free, people have paid money in advance to have him and I feel like they should be able to complain about it if they want to. Also I doubt anyone who is mad about the venom delay thinks that Arcsys should just force the developers to work harder, its them getting mad at the company for promising something they couldn't go through with.

I looked at the Japanese. The word they use for online changes is 改修 which means 'repair/improvement' which might indicate very small changes or only reliability improvements. Seems like we aren't going to get a ranked and probably just some under the hood bug fixes. For training mode, it's much more clear that they are adding 'something' to it. What that is, I don't know. All they say is it's based on player feedback, so fingers crossed it's a frame bar at last.

yeah, as things go right now it feels like ArcSys are tired of the game and its issues, and they already lost a lot of players for the last couple months. So I would not expect S5 be a thing, they might work on something potentially. Maybe BB revival?

They can delay all they want if they're actually working on matchmaking and frame data. If what we get is a new floor in the tower and anything but frame data, I may lose my mind though.

I can imagine how stressful the dev team has been feeling ever since season 4 first dropped, but it really is appreciated that they're taking their time to drop Venom in the best condition and to also address both the abysmal rank system that is Towers and the kind of lacking training mode. This is kind of a weird opinion I have, but I actually hope they do this type of character + QoL update pack with Unika or Lucy but instead with single player stuff (somewhat reanimated story mode, cutscenes for arcade mode, return of M.O.M mode, etc). I see it as the only glaring issue with Strive if the Venom update does a good job tackling the online problems. The aspect of the game's development that got hit the hardest by covid and quarantine, and i hope they add more to it even if it delays the characters by a few weeks or so.

With how often ArcSys has said they'll release something, only to push it off to the last possible date where it's technically true but barely....I fully expected Venom to come out on whatever the last possible day of "Early 2025" equaled. Just like I fully expect Unika to come out on whatever the last day of Spring is...which is almost 3 full weeks into June. Can't be disappointed if my expectations are low, right?

Please, I hope they don't add ranked modes. Maybe just revamp the tower slightly, for balance, but, as seen fron many other games, creating a ranked mode as a separate thing is bound to create toxicity.

Happy seeing them take their time a bit now! I was worried that their work was catching up to them a bit seeing how rushed season 4 was, and I don't want a "Pokemon situation" for Guilty Gear, where holding up their schedule would make quality control harder and harder. Can't wait to see how the rest of season 4 continues if they get the time they need to flesh out the game the way they wanna!

You can already see someone's ping before you can go into a match What the game doesn't do is snitch on wifi players, which it absolutely should

its coz they focused more on 3v3 and it has done so much damage. like how 3v3 has ranked and was less buggy than the normal mode on s4 launch. and to make matters worse that game mode is more dead than any other fighting game ever😭😭

I just want network improvements and balance updates. Delayed characters dont break my heart.
