Clint Eastwood's choice of car in Gran Torino. Get off my lawn!! 😆
Nicely done vid!! Driven Caminos most my life...but really dig the 67-72 Rancheros! Stying in/out is better I think than the GM versions. Sounds weird but the smell of 70s ford inbly interiors is awesome. Only a car geek gets it. Id love to have one for a daily...have a 67 El (30 yrs this mo)but got a little carried away with things. not worried about wear or tear its being carkjacked. 2 close calls before I parked it yrs ago .Sucks
Are you selling it
Its sad seeing them all rotting away. I hope my Torino has a good home somewhere.
I had a1973 gran torino with stripes on the side metallic blue
Sounds like Reed Hadley speaking on the last one. I had a 72 like the brown one, except it was the Sport with fake scoop on hood.
I bought a 1953 Dodge Regent four door, about two months ago, in central California... Made in Windsor, Ontario... Basically a Plymouth Cranbrook from the firewall back, with a Dodge front clip... Good thing though, its nearly flawless exterior and interior... 230-6 flathead... Firestone wide whitewalls... Four wing vents plus the pop up front vent... No cracked nor chipped glass... No rust nor holes in any floorboards... Traded a Jeep CJ with a busted transfer case for this extra cool classic ...
I’m in the process of building a replica of this car
1:54! Christine give herself a new frontal look.
Quiero saber cómo es original
Perfect i have mayfair 58 sedan ❤
I owned a 1974 Ford Ranchero and I’m still mad at myself for selling it.
Very fantastic car !! This is my future car !
Definitely a car to dream about 👍
Fantastic car. Much needed tribute. Thanks for putting this together 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I have a 72 Gran Torino I trying to sale fresh paint no rust lovely condition
Ranchero and El Camino will always be my favorite classic car
I thank Ford Torino 72, for sharing the commercials of the wonderful Ford Mercury Gran Torino and Elite automobiles from the 70s, at the age of 22 I acquired my second car, a Gran Torino 73, it was love at first sight, it was like traveling in a flying carpet, thank you for making us remember those wonderful years.
Thank you for your comment :)
I keep a 1975 Ford Elite, _The Bruised Banana_ , brown vinyl roof over yellow paintwork, 36,xxx miles. Ford built 372,249 Elites over 3 years, so it's still possible to find a well kept example.
Mines at 1:26 thats awesome! Shes all running good and bumper is straight , good video 😊
Thanks for the comment. Enjoy that fabulous car of yours :)
It was a classic...
Thanks for watching
My mother had a 76 it was beautiful and I what's learning how to detail cars I kept that car so clean it was the cleanest car at McDonald's every weekend when I was in my teens I wish I would like to find one today
Thanks for watching. Nice story!
Owned a 70 GT Convt. , 71 Gt fastback, 72 Gran Torino Sport and a 73 country Squire Wagon. I miss all of them, my goal in the 70’s was to put a 460 in my 72 but life moves on, at 60 I would really like to have them all back
Good luck on your quest. Thanks for watching!
I can't believe they did not put out the fastback commercial. I own a Q code sports roof. Love at first sight. They would have doubled sales.
Its going to need a lot of work Good luck to you. It took me almost 6 years to restore a 1961 plymouth fury
Thanks for watching. When the steam is up, things are moving forward!
owning one is on the bucket list..but fairly sure I b kickin the bucket first
Good luck on your quest and thanks for watching!
Some really good old pictures, nice job.
Much appreciated. Thanks for watching!
Check it out, totally far out man! A better idea... Dig that front grille
Best part, not super expensive to buy, even a mint one will be under $30K!
The good old days, when stock car racing was still stock, you can still see the door seams in the body, and the rear spoiler was an inch at best! 👍 🇺🇸
Definitely the good old days! Thanks for watching.
@FordTorino72 You're welcome! I'm old enough to remember those days!
Cool run down!
Thanks man!
Very cool, new to the channel. tuning in now!
Thanks for watching. New updates will come shortly.
Back in 1975 when I was 16 this was one of my favorite cars. I was and still am a sucker for anything with 2 doors, a vinyl top, and opera windows.
Definitely a cool car. Thanks for watching!
Is there going to be any updates on this car?
Absolutely. I'm now working on rebuilding the rusted gearbox that was full of water instead of oil... Hopefully I will have a new update shortly. Thanks for watching!
@@FordTorino72that sucks about the gearbox, looking forward to the new video, new subscriber from the UK
love youre videos.also u have great taste in music
Much appreciated. Thanks for watching!
IT IS A PLYMOUTH WITH A DODGE GRILLE !
I owned a 76 elite. It was my first car. I didn't appreciate it as much as I do now
I always thought that the 1972 Toeino was the best looking of the Torinos with this body style.
Montego was a better looking car
The '74-'76 Elite models were very beautiful, sold well, but in reality were the first downsized T-Birds that ran simultaneously at mid-decade with the much larger real T-Bird, easing it into the downsized '77 model, when the Elite disappeared.
Not going anywhere soon
According to Stephen King's ''Christine'', they might eventually come back from the grave ;)
midsize bigger than todays "full" size Back when cars were beautiful
You are absolutely right!
It’s not common to see so many 57 Dodge’s in one spot, that was cool to watch 👍
Thanks man, much appreciated 👍
These pictures answered the question I had about the '57 model tail lights. They appear to be the same as the '57 US Plymouth models.
Absolutely. Only the front end differs from the Plymouth.
Don't worry too much about the 6 X 9" speakers. New ones are still available. Just make sure that any replacement has the same dimensions for depth as well as being a 6 X 9" design. Glad to see that the fender eyebrows and grill trim were still with the car!! The glass all appears to be in good shape. Overall a great start on the restoration!😀
Thanks man!
What kind of tail lights did the Crusader have? Did it use the US 1957 Plymouth tail lights or some unique Canadian Dodge tail lights? Nice to see that this one has its OEM radio. They can be repaired. It will need a set of knobs unless they are somewhere in the car. You might be able to have someone use a computer and 3D printer to make new badges for the sides of the car unless you can find some OEM units that are unbroken.
Thanks for watching and for the tips!
The Elite was nice, but I like the 1974 Gran Torino front end better … with the four headlights
Very common in Canada
Back in the late 50's they were common in Canada. But now, '57-'59 Dodge are almost impossible to find.
If the frame was good I never would have parted with my 73 ! I miss it like a family member
Hopefully you will find another one.
Who is this playing the song?
They were nicer than the Cougar Montego or Torino, the 2 door model in this model era..I had one in maroon
Definitely. Those were real sculptures on wheels!
ELITE, Baby yellow with white top. Inside chocolate velvet interior.

GEE; LOOKS like the one that came off showroom floor.
