Odd that you don’t use the lanyard to attach to yourself on the dive. Keeps the camera secure to you just in case.
That is a great point - you can certainly attach the lanyard to yourself for extra security!
Thanks Lee. I'm going to try this one day soon!
Thanks! It's a blast, hope you enjoy it when you get the chance!
Interesting. I have the lens, and the zoom gear. I have not used the limitor ring but maybe its just dumb luck I haven't needed the limiter. I use it on a z8 withe compact wcp lens and the combination works really well. One of my favorite lens and port combinations ever.
Do you have a video how to install l Detection/Moisture Alarm PCB Set in nauticam uw case
We do not currently, that electronics set is meant to be installed by a service technician. You're welcome to give us a call for instructions on sending that into us for service if you'd like.
Do you have a video installing Detection/Moisture Alarm in the nauticam housing
i am struggling to put the zoom ring on my 28-60 lense...whatever i try it doesn't seem to connect with inner ring of the NA sonyA7SIII any piocture or link that could help me?? using the nauticam 37163 SFE2860-Z ring adapter specially design for the 28-60mm FE4-5,6 lense
We would be happy to help. We don't have a guide for installing that specific zoom gear but if you'd like to give us a call or sned over an email we would be more than happy to assist.
Nauticam missed the ball on this one! The Canon C70 is still an industry standard and highly desired by many because of all the features we know. I’m starting to think something really bad happened with the engineering side of the housing construction or even legal aspects for them to discontinue the housing.
It is a fantastic camera and housing. There were not issues at all with the engineering, housing construction, or legal aspects, it simply had very little popularity for underwater imaging compared to some of the other options in the market. This is surprising as you mentioned because the C70 itself has been very popular amongst run-n-gun, wildlife, and documentary shooters over the years. There's a new housing being released for the C400 we're aware of, we may see something for the new C80 as well but not official announcement on that yet!
Thanks 👍

Is there anything that can be done about the inability to WB below 40ft on the Z cameras? I guess less a problem for photography but for video....
The best option we've found is to manually dial in a kelvin temp, use a red filter, and also shoot in ProRes RAW or NRAW to help fix some of the color in post production.
Thanks for braking it down to a easy and comprehensive demonstration!
Thanks for the feedback and your comments, we appreciate it!
I hope the result is impressive for 3000 bucks!
What does the “ card access” button does? And why there’s two light leaks one on top the other?
possible to connect 2 keldan 8XR20000 in 1 channel?
Yes you can connect up to 8 lights on a single channel
which kidney do you want😢
I used it for two times ..I would like to ask is there any video for how set up the menu underwater ..how to use the menu ..thank you

Why is this more expensive than the UW Technics TTL converter? Is there an added benefit? Genuinely curious.
i have the UW technics TTL and TBH the nauticam one looks a lot better built. For starters the nauticam one has it's own mounting bracket that makes taking it out easier. the UW technics TTL is a royal PITA to remove to change batteries. The LED wires on the UW technics are more rigid than what the nauticam TTL looks to be, and I'm super afraid thats one of the LED wires is going to snap off the board on the UW technics. The instructions for the UW technics TTL were also very poorly translated from chinese to english and it takes a couple (a lot) of read throughs to figure out what they're saying. Performance wise I'm not sure if the nauticam is any better, but the battery draw on the UW technics TTL is atrocious. Also the UW technics TTL for me lasted about 8 months and it already died. So I'm thinking Im going the nauticam TTL route this time. bottom line....you're paying for a high quality product.
Thanks so much for that review, brilliant performances, indeed, but its 15lbs freeze me 😅
Great video! I'm considering an A7SIII or Fx3 for Abient light shooting while Freediving, but ur comment about the to low Kelvin settings options are holding me back now. What kelvin range has a Canon R5? And for which depth is 9999K enough? Great Regards, Chris
Thanks Chris! the Canon R5C for example can go up to 15000 Kelvin, so a much higher range which is often useful for depths beyond 30-40 ft depending on water clarity and conditions.
oh~ wow~!!!!!!! my jaws just dropped on the floor.
Nice one guys!
Does NOT work on a regular A7II, only A7SII and A7RII!!
That'd be my issue then 😢
Excellent, thank you ❤
Incredible footage well done guys!!
Solid content 👊🏼
Thank you! :)
I don't say this a lot, but this is a great and very clear video on the subject! thank you!
Thank you for the feedback! Glad to hear you found this helpful :)
How did you film in 8k? We have found that the only way to film in the 8k raw is with an external power source like a vmount and dtap
6:04 shows them using an external battery source put at the bottom of the housing
Make one that supports V mount adaptors. Those batteries don't last very long. Also, what about the exhaust on the camera? It's not supposed to be covered. That can't be good for the camera running in that small housing.
too fast to follow had to watch 4 times to understand.
TH-cam obviously has speed settings, you can watch videos at variable speeds or press 'pause'
How do you manage SDI protocol with this system?
Do you guys have setups for the Sony A7IV? i really need a guide for it
Great video, thank you! Now we're a couple of years on, are there any lists of supported cine lens' available for this housing/port combo other than the Canon RF lenses?
😌 *Promosm*
Hi, this model still available ?
Hi Vinicius. Yes! This is still a current model and one of the most popular underwater cameras of all time. We are happy to help in any way we can.
WOW 🤩 What a stunning system.
Hi Maxime, this will depend on where you travel. The vast majority of airlines around the world will never weigh your bag and as a rule, airlines leaving the US will not weigh. The understated look of the TT bags helps. French Polynesia and a few Asian airports can be a problem. So I will usually explain that there are Li-Ion Batteries, Fragile items, etc. and bring some light nylon stuff bags and a photo vest with pockets in case they insist you lighten your load and then refill the bag when you get through security. I generally have over 15kg in my roll on and 10-12kg in my backpack and have no problems 95% of the time. I hope that helps!
Great video, but how do you deal with the carry-on weight restrictions? usually between 7-8kg
I have the thinktank international and it is 16kg plus my backpack. I travel on airlines with 7kg total for carry on all the time and always get to carry it on once I show them what it is.
Thanks!
What brand is the top handle? It looks great! thank you.
This is just a SmallRig Top Handle, but you can use any 1/4 20 mounted top handle or the Nauticam version as well
@@reefphotovideo2774 I've found a lot and I'm not satisfied. Is there any details about this model?
Hi... Rly good video. But i havent this option Option in My custom with Finder 😡😵💫
Not seeing the video guide for auto focus in the links ??
Hi Elad - here's a link to the video: th-cam.com/video/TZ9MY2EE9hU/w-d-xo.html
Hi great videos. Thx for them. I have been having green tint problem in manual wb in ambient light with my sony a7s3. I use a 18% grey card to set it. Any suggestions?
Another question an atomos shinobi only blue noise control function, would be useful underwater to minimize noise? Thx again,..
Promise I'll buy this from you Lee as soon as I can convince my wife... You're a savage, keep up the great work with killer reviews
Thanks Andrew, appreciate that! And best of luck with the convincing, maybe a nice new dive vacation for her that you can capture the whole experience with your new gear :)
I like the weights. I pour pearl lead in a gooseneck in Guam to get static shots. I just push the rig in the sand or gently place it in a nook and swim away. I used to use a plumb bob with some pink duct tape to hold my rig together in Kwajalein. I discovered the Red rigs after watching Octopus Teacher with my Dad while on R&R. As you may have guessed, I am not a pro cinematographer. I do manage to have fun with my channel though searching for the magic. I can dream of using this. This type of art is always a work in progress.
Great video. The A7S3 custom white balance has a problem with color shifting from Blue to purple and I am wondering if A1 has the same problem.
Thats great, but what do you then do with your actual camera body, lens, dive regulator, dive computer and other items because you only have left is the ability to bring a small personal item carry-on bag with that roller?
Thanks for the comment and question! In addition to the carry-on most airlines will allow you to carry a personal item such as a small camera backpack. Think Tank actually makes one call the street walker harddrive and these are great for carrying the camera body, lenses, and other smaller accessories. Generally we will check all of our dive equipment but you could likely fit a regulator and dive computer in the backpack as well. Hope all of that info helps.
What a beast 🤩
Awesome video, super helpful. A
Thanks Jacob!
